  1. Ann is definately the First Lady of AAU in Tennessee. Bill and Ann Tipps are the reason we have such a great foundation for AAU here. We will miss her terribly. My prayers to Bill on the loss of truly a life partner.
  2. Tennessee Team Pride Basketball Club is crowned the top AAU program in the nation for the 2nd year in a row. 4. The most economical way to go is to rent a house or condo and put 3 to 4 families per unit. We did this one year and it only cost us about 250 a family for the whole week, not to mention eating lunch and breakfast and some dinners in house instead of restaurants. The condo we rented had 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a dining room and den both with pullout couches and a screened in pool. All info should be on YBOA website.
  5. I heard there was some drama with the 16u anyone have details?
  6. I agree, I think it will hinder the fall leagues, but those who want to play will. I'm sure there will be creative ways to play without violating the new rules. I don't think the TSSAA has to monitor much as I believe those who break the rules will probably be turned in.
  7. I'm sure the Chairman is working on that now and will have them posted soon.
  8. Up to date results can be found on the Tennessee Team Pride web site www.TennesseeTeamPride.com
  9. The final results are now posted on our website www.TennesseeTeamPride.com
  10. All 4 (13-16) will be held at the same time.
  11. I believe they will be held in Cookeville May 25-27
  12. The brackets are up for the AAU Super Regional Tournament in Murfreesboro March 30 - April 1 on our website (link below). Games will be played at Blackman High School (main and aux. gym), Rockvale Elementary and Hooptown. www.TennesseeTeamPride.com
  13. They are listed on our web site on the left side. www.TennesseeTeamPride.com
  14. I think most of the sub-state directors try as best they can to work with the clubs to fit things in. I know for a fact this year there were plans made around some national exposure tournaments that some clubs wanted to attend. I'm not sure how practical it is to say we will play at this time and then not be able to play because there were more teams or fewer teams signing up for that particular sub-state. Remember, in Tennessee you can attend any sub-state you choose. There are sub-states in the east, west, north middle and south middle. In Tennessee we also have two meetings per year, one in the fall and one in the summer. You could come to one of the meetings and voice your objections to the way things are handled now and bring a fresh prospective to what you think we ought to change to.
  15. Not it at all. If you have 10 teams in an age group you get to send 2 teams to the nationals. We're close on all age groups to having 10 and trying to send 2 teams in each age group.
  16. We are going to try and post all the brackets once we receive them. These are the only ones we have at the moment.
  17. We have scanned the original draw brackets including the playing dates and times for the North Middle Div I AAU girls sub-state and posted them on our website. www.TennesseeTeamPride.com
  18. The deadline for entering has been extended to March 22 for the 13u-16u Super Regional.
  19. The draw was just Sunday, March 18th. I'm sure the sub-state directors are getting their schedules together now. I believe some of the younger age groups may start that weekend. The sub-state directors will be getting the information to the coaches as soon as they possibly can.
  20. Don't forget to get your AAU applications in this week so you can play in Tennessee AAU.
  21. Team Pride will host an open gym at Hooptown Basketball Academy on: March 11 and 17 time 3-6 pm (don't forget Daylight Savings time changes on the 11th) *ages 14u-17u *High school players that have been eliminated from the tournament can begin trying out. Team Pride will have 2 teams per age group. Open gym will be for players interested in the 2007 season. For more information check our website www.TennesseeTeamPride.com
  22. I don't have a list yet, so I'm not sure who is coming. I believe Tiffany's 15u team will be there.
  23. I think it's still a rumor at this point. Not everyone comes back to even good teams that finish 3rd in the country. There are still a lot of people still playing and lot's still undecided.
  24. Tennessee Team Pride will be hosting Super Regional Tournaments to qualify for AAU Nationals. 13,14,15,JR(16 and 17 with high school eligibility), SR (17 & 18) March 30-April 1, 2007 9,10,11,12 April 20-April 22, 2007 Games to be played in Rutherford County Locations For more information and an application check our website www.TennesseeTeamPride.com
