  1. I guess Hendersonville should not even go to the game then since Columbia has it all, just be easy on them and don't embarass the Commandos.
  2. Who won between them last night. Heard both were good this year.
  3. I wasn't at the game but was told that H'ville dominated up front and was actually leading pretty big going into the fourth quarter and just made silly mistakes. I was also told that H'ville had at least 10 players that have had the flu all week, so that could have made a difference, but I wasn't there this is just what I was told this morning.
  4. Any other Freshman teams going to be any good in this new district besides Gallatin and MJ.
  5. Brentwood took the scrimmage 4-1 stopped early bc of lightning, both defenses have a lot to improve on. Brentwood freshman also won 4-2.
  6. If you want to bash posters its ok, but to bash the players and coaches is just classless garbage. The true FHS fans should be proud of your team, the others as most on here need to get a little class about winning. Garbage Franklin won, are they the better team, yes, do they play in a better region, yes, would those who didnt make the playoffs make it in reion 5 I doubt it. Region 6s top 4 are very good but HHS, Gallatin, HL would finish right behind them so maybe 1 of the other regions 6 teams would have made it out of region 5. ALso, you talk all this crap about talent and such, yes they were more talented and will be for a long time BUT that is why they are moving to 6 classes next year to even it out some because to all of you trash (classless ) talkers it does make a difference when you a pool of some 400 to 600 more kids to chose from to play football. HHS is one of the smallest current 5A programs in the state where as FHS, Brentwood, RHS, INDy are all a lot larger than HHS, Gallatin , etc. SO enjoy your victory, but please for future enjoy it with class and try not to bash the players. That is classless and gutless, if you dont like it then go out for the team next year and get you sorry a@@ on the field then feel free to say other crap. Best of luck to you the rest of the playoffs and hope your team stays injury free.
  7. First of all congrats to the Rebels on a great game. Second this has nothing to do with playing in a weak region, has to do with Franklin being a great team and now I know why people everywhere say they are the team to beat in 5A. They will put up a lot of points on anyone. They only problem they may face if is a team lines up and runs downhill at them instead of side to side. Also, congrats HHS on a good season. You are better than the score but Franklin really is a good team. On a side note, I am not a bitter person and wish the best of luck to the players coaches, and classy rebel fans out there. But people like you are just ridiculous talking like this. Win with class, lose with class, you are a pathetic piece of dirt for saying these things like this. Sad thing is you probably have never strapped it up before, if so, I would love to go one on one with someone like you because I would embarrass you. Yes I would so dont try to say otherwise. Good luck Franklin and get rid of the pieces of dirt like this that support you, they will only bring you down.
  8. In the box they are above average and can probably hold there own. The secondary is really kind of crazy to explain, if you through to the Y mans side you are going to ask for trouble he really is a good db, but on the other side #26 has really gotten better throughtout the year and is tops in the state in INTs. Most people throw his way to stay away from yazzie but he is pretty solid cover man. The only problem I have seen with the D is there is not a whole lot of team speed but they seem to do a good job each week of containing and limiting big plays. I really dont think anyone scores 30+ in this game. So those predictions are from people who obviously dont know anything about the defensese tomorrow night. Should be a good game. Frankiln is defenitly the more talented team as far as athletes and such but you can count on 1 thing every Friday night from the Commandos, they are physical on both sides of the ball. Turnovers are the key. Just my 2cents worth. HHS 21-Franklin 14. On a side note would it not be a crazy game if it were lets say 14-14 and went to overtime like it did a few years back but this time HHS wins in OT. It would make for an exciting game. Also the weather may play a factor, Who knows if it rains or not. Is it Friday YET?
  9. Enough of this garbage on here. The game is between 2 teams of HHS and Franklin High, these are young kids and no one needs to berate them or the coaches from either team or school. To the game, yes Franklin is very good, scary good as they say about the Gators, but HHS is pretty good themselves. This will be a better game than most think. I will be highly competitive and very physical. Both teams have ability through their own schemes. Which one wins out we wont know until Friday. I firmly expect a great to to come down to the fourth quarter. I really think the teams that does not turn the ball over or make stupid penalties will win. Not as much scoring as a lot of poeple on here have predicted either. maybe a 20-14 game or a 17-14 type game. I think HHS will win in the end very close, just for kicks and giggles 16-14 on a fg as time expires from 35 yards out. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  10. Let me get this right, this is the HHS-Franklin thread I believe. Let's see HHS has 1 loss to Beech who lost to White House who lost to Alcoa whose only lost is to Maryville, so Maryville beat HHS. Franklins only loss is to Brentwood whose only loss is to Ravenwood who lost last week to HHS. WOW. All in fun just wanted to type that stuff in here. Seriously, Franklin is really really good, but dont count out the Commandos, they are a pretty good team themselves. I think if HHS is able to successfully run the ball they win, if not Franklin wins. Can the Commandos line wear down Franklin or does Franklin wear down the Commandos. If it is within 1 score either way about halfway through the 3rd Qtr I think the commandos will win. The stats question, I dont think HHS has beat any of the good teams they have played statistically but 1 stat that doesnt show up is the hidden yardage, HHS holds there own here. As for Yazzie, no he is not 6'4" 215 running a 4.4 but he is a heck of a player with a big heart and fundamentally sound that is what makes him special and this group of commandos has no quit in them and they have heart and character, that makes up for a lot in High school football. With all this , I really think it will be a close game, probably come down to the fourth qtr drive for one of them. Franklin travel safe and get ready for a rocking stadium I know you guys will bring a big crowd and I fully expect the same type of atmosphere as last friday night in Commando Country. Good luck to both teams. Prediction (biased) HHS 20 - Franklin 17 /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  11. Well, it is the second round and the Commandos are still in. We were suppose to win after the game against RHS $1 seed vs #4 seed but everyone other than Commando faithful said we will lose, even the GURU Murphy Fair. Granted RHS was not your average #4 seed the Commandos stayed in the game and pulled it out. Now on to Franklin. Whole different animal this week, Franklin could easily be undefeated and ranked #1 in the state, so it has already started that the Commandos have no chance. I beg to differ a little. This will be a hard fought game between 2 outstanding teams. I here the story of Hunter Lanes Wing-T getting stopped, true, but HL and HHS run 2 way different styles of the Wing-T, and yes that is possible. Franklin is probably the favorite but just like the last 3 weeks, HHS was suppose to lose to Gallatin(WIN), to Hunter Lane(WIN), and Revenwood(WIN), when is someone going to tell the players and coaches that they are suppose to lose. I dont get it. HHS did what they needed to do to win against RHS, wether the storm keep it close going into half and come out and continue to smash away on both lines. Last night RHS outgained HHS a lot on paper, but HHS excells in the "hidden yardage" department and that is how they won the game. I just think it will simply come down to turnovers and desire. I know last night the commando WAR TEAM, helped spear head a hostile crowd in the 2nd half and the players just seemed to get stronger as the game went on. Good luck to both teams and may the best team advance to the quarters. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. Well, dang, goldendomer, RHS is bigger faster stronger, played tougher games, supposedly have better coaches, play in a tougher region, have 1 more better than yazzie, and have 1 more better than the HHS qb, If we still had Wilhoit I guess they would have 1 better kicker than him. Gosh, do we even have a chance tonight, maybe we should not even show up. LOL. If RHS wins it is because they are just better, if HHS wins, it is not because RHS didnt show up it is because HHS is better. TURNOVERS on a probably wet surface determines this one. I say HHS 20 RHS 14. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  13. Dont underestimate Gallatin. If CHS cannot stop the run it will be a long night because will just pound and pound and you will play catch up with the clock running. And like stated if you bring 8 and then 9 into the box The Gallatin QB is way underrated as a passer and will throw it right over your heads for a long TD. Good luck to both teams but from what I am hearing you have to have a defense that can stop the run to win in the playoffs. I give the edge to Gallatin something like 24-14.
  14. First off, goldendomer, I could care less where you went to college about as much as you care about where I went to college. So back to the game at hand. Ravenwood is not a typical 4 seed. Region 6 has been stronger the last few years, but you never know until the game is played. BUT dont tell H'ville folks we haven't seen this or that this year because we have seen just about everything there is to offer in a game this year. Smashmouth, wide-open, speed, more wide-open, roaring defenses that bltiz blitz blitz. If you actually pay attention to all the games, every team in the playoffs has dealt with all of the above scenerios. Ravenwood and H'ville are both equall in schemes of their own ways, both coaching staffs are great................athletes like the Yazzie kid you say they have them on every team, DUH, everyone has a Yazzie but if you just stop him, believe it or not HHS has others that will hurt you. The winner of this game will be the team that turns the ball over LESS and makes LESS penalties. I dont know how well RHS is in the takaway department but if you sling the ball around all night HHS has been known to take a few INTs this year. With that being said, I think HHS will win the game with a score of something like 20-14. I really dont think it will be high scoring because both will have a top notch D.
