  1. Within the next two weeks, you're going to be full from eating all that crow.
  2. Intelligence doesn't correlate with sufficient use of language. It means I know how to speak English. Pretty cool, eh? I'm not going to pretend as if I know what will and will not happen on Friday, but Centennial has the ability to beat Brentwood. The talent is there, it's a matter of playing four quarters of solid football. There is no doubt Brentwood is one of the best teams in 5A, but as the saying goes "That's why they play the games." If Centennial plays defense like they did against Gallatin, Brentwood won't score 44, 34, or even 24.
  3. I think we can certainly hold them to less than 44, that's for sure. It's cute how you try to insult me, but not remotely effective. I'm confident that Centennial will play a tight game against the Bruins, and if they can implement a defense like they did against Gallatin, anything is possible. Do you remember earlier this year when it was 7-7 going into the 4th quarter? Centennial has improved beyond measure since that game, as I'm sure Brentwood has. I merely hope that your paucity of humility rests within the mind of your team as well; It would certainly bode well for Centennial.
  4. Oh, that was clever. You should write a memoir or something.
  5. After Centennial beats Gallatin and Brentwood crushes Antioch, these two Region 6 teams are ready for a first every playoff meeting between the two. Both teams have fantastic running games, and though I think (and I can't believe I'm actually saying this) Centennial has a bit more of balance on their squad, Brentwood's Jordan Evans and Josh Gregory more than make up for it. Thoughts on this game? Fun fact from each of last nights game: Total combined passing yards between Antioch and Brentwood: 0. Centennial had 8 receivers with a catch last night, including QB Chaz Scales, but only Drew Kelly had more than 1 catch.
  6. Centennial intercepts, this one is over! Final score: Centennial 20 Gallatin 6 I can't explain how proud I am of this team. Great outing in all 3 phases, especially defense. On to Brentwood, GO COUGARS!
  7. Gallatin's onside kick...and Drew gets it, Centennial ball with just over 2 minutes left. 2nd and 8 for Centennial, Gallatin just used their last time out, 1:51 left to play. CHAZ SCALES 70 YARD TOUCHDOWN RUN, CENTENNIAL LEADS NOW 20-6!!!
  8. Drew Kelly sack pushes it back to 3rd and 13, Gallatin incomplete pass, making it 4th and 13. Timeout Gallatin with 2:08 left in the game. I'm shocked that our defense has allowed only 3 points, great bend but don't break performance. Gallatin will try a 44 yard FG...And it's good. Centennial's lead is cut now, 13-6. 2:03 left. Onside kick coming.
  9. 4th and 1 at the 25 of Centennial for Gallatin, and the Green Wave converts again, 3:00 and counting here.
  10. Gallatin 4th and 2 on Centennial's 47 yard line, convert to keep the drive going, 4:45 and counting. 13-3 Centennial
  11. Centennial has a TD run taken back by a holding penalty, then fails to convert on a 4th and 1 on the Gallatin 3 yard line. 6:29 left in the game, remains 13-3 Centennial.
  12. Gallatin tries a 4th and 10 on Centennial's 43, and they fail to convert. 10:01 left in regulation, still Centennial 13 Gallatin 3.
  13. Chaz has a 70 yard run to Gallatin's 28 yard line, which sets up an Austin Bass 25 yd FG, looks like it might have been tipped, but it goes in regardless. 38 seconds left in the 3rd, Centennial leads Gallatin 13-3. Go region 6-5A. Any score from the Franklin game? EDIT: End of the 3rd, 13-3 Centennial.
  14. Long Tony Kemp run sets up eventual touchdown for Centennial, not sure who scores the TD. Centennial 10 Gallatin 3 10:16 left in the 3rd.
  15. 2nd half beginning, here we go! Both teams have been able to move the ball fairly well, but neither well enough to get in the endzone. Centennial receives this half.
  16. Chaz intercepted at the Gallatin 15 with 2:23 left till half, but Gallatin follows with a 3 and out. At half, the score is 3-3.
  17. Gallatin kicks a 39 yard FG with 4:16 left in the half, the game is tied 3-3.
  18. Austin Bass kicks a 33 (?) yard field goal to give Centennial a lead 9:27 left in the first half.
  19. Alright, I'm currently at the game, I'll give pretty frequent updates, for anyone who cares. BTW, it took me nearly two hours to get here, because I'm an idiot. Centennial got the ball first, currently at midfield, just over a minute gone in the game. Scales fumbles, Gallatin recovers with 10:27 left in the 1st. EDIT: At the end of 1 quarter, the score is 0-0, with Centennial driving. The 1st featured decent drives stopped by penalties, and resulted with punts.
  20. Interesting stat: Both teams are 0-0 right now.
  21. We might have a speed advantage, but from the sound of that #78, you all have some size up front. If you run it up the gut, it will be tough for us to stop, as it negates our speed. I'll be there, for sure.
  22. I hope the team has that same attitude /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I hope the team has that same attitude /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  23. It will be the winner of the Franklin/Brentwood game.
