  1. Well I hit the Loudon total but I missed Sweetwaters...this game became a little heated from the warm ups on and the refs had to gain control and this cost a Loudon player an ejection which is very unfortunate. but I really thought Sweetwater would bring a better balanced team. Loudon has a few things to work on such as dicipline and execution or we could be facing a couple of losses besides the ones that some folks are expecting. good luck to the Wildcats on the rest of there schedule and GO BIG RED
  2. I agree although I am a Loudon fan I do agree that you can not judge a team by there jamboree performance. must jamboree participants don't want to get any starters hurt or give a team a heads up on there weapons. so I feel tonites game between the Redskins and Wildcats will be a good match up that will go the distance.....I do feel that Loudon has the depth that will help prevail....so my prediction is Loudon 35 Sweetwater 21
  3. lets hear your thoughts or predictions on this game. last year was 19-0 Loudon with Sweetwater having like 29 yards total offence for the game. I am sure it will be different this year but I still see Loudon pulling this one off. Game is at Loudon High School @7:30
  4. well GB want ever know that because Hawk set out and everyone else took there shot.
  5. I think Loudon vs Lenior City ranks right at the top with some of the others. It is called Battle Of The Bridge.I know we have a lot of schools that fit this bill but for this area I have to stick to my guns. and further more week 3 should be the last time this game is played. LC went to 4A and Loudon dropped to 2A and they are wanting to stop the game and I am not certain of the reason ....many rumors have surfaced. I do know one thing for a fact. at a LC school board meeting that was televised Mr Johnson ( board member) ask what the largest money game for LC was. and Mr Miller ( LC school super) replied it was the Loudon vs LC game.. Mr Johnson asked why it was being stopped and Mr Miller replied that it is not worth the 10-12 thousand dollars to have rocks thrown at buses and fans. this was a very false statement that was made by a person( Mr Miller) who did not have a clue. so with this I will say it looks like one of the rivalrys will end....thats ok we bring in crowds to all games. LC will struggle for gate sales.
  6. This is truely a sad time and I give my prayers to all that were involved. May God be with all the victims and families in there time of need. I am sure the community will gather with these people to give them support. I know the football family in Loudon will pray for them. REMEMBER..... "Life is just a stepping stone to the doorway of our final destination"
  7. Hello everyone. well with GB having one game under there belt in 2006 it is obvious that they have improved from the 2005 team. How do you all think the Loudon vs Greenback game will shape up. Will Greenback bring some meat to the table? Will Loudon be the team they were last year? lets hear it folks, lets talk football.
  8. After watching the game last night between LC/ campbell Co.I must say I agree....LC is on the list for a long season.....
  9. Well folks it is again that time of year....I also hear that Greenback is a much improved team this year, they did defeat heritage JV in the jamboree but you all know as well as I do that Jamborees mean very little. I am anxious to see what Loudon has this year. I have followed there practices but we will never know until the team is out to the test. I hope Loudon and Greenback have a great injury free game because this is a game that will be a crowd drawer and a money maker for the home teams. as for Hawkins, he is a great kid and athelete but lets all remember he is 1 of 11 that it takes to make a team. and yes I agree that Loudons 2nd string back is a weapon also...Campbell is a good solid, hard running back. good luck to both teams.
  10. I do not mean to throw another horn in here but you all can plan on hearing about Tyler Campbell. he played back up to Josh Hawkins last year and let me tell you that this kid has tallent. he is no D. Lindsey or Shiverdecker but he has potential.
  11. I too agree with Rufus but as I have always preached. Any given team can win or lose and any given day. I hope our region has a strong showing from all schools and just because Wartburg starts with the letter "W" it by no means implies that they will be at the bottom of the list. good luck to all. it should once again be an interesting season.
  12. I predict 3rd in there district....behind Alcoa/Loudon
  13. I am not implying in anyway that Loudon,CAK and Alcoa are the only teams in the region...I merely asked the question if Loudon would be a contender this year.
  14. I hear Alcoa is loaded again, CAK is going to be strong, Tyner will be knocking at the door as they always are. It takes 15 weeks to play it all out and often we see surprises at the end of the year. I hope the Loudon Redskins will be a contender this year but I see Alcoa and CAK as a challenging hurdle. but as much as I like the competition I just mainly pray that all the kids and teams get thru the year without experiencing some type of tragedy. good luck to all and I hope Loudon , CAK, Wartburg, Oliver Springs, Sweetwater and Rockwood give Alcoa's Coach Rakin a great big East TN howdy..lol...here is to good sportsmanship and good competition.
  15. The community of Loudon sends there prayers and thoughts to the family, the team and the community. this is truely sad.
  16. How many returning starters on Wartburg and how many on Sequoyah....keep me posted on the out come. I predict Sequoyah by 2 scores.
  17. well folks I have laid dormant for a while but it is time for us to think about the 2006 season...does Loudon have a chance this year? why or why not?
  18. I am watching the game and Alcoa is tallented but Lindsey doing the Hiesman pose...the takler on the kick off doing air lows ...never knew so many thugs could go to one school...oh yeah can't forget the thug coaches.
  19. not a man among children but rather a thug among atheletes...I see him going to play for state....could be Florida State criminoles or Tennessee State Penetentary...all the same.
  20. In my book the award is now tarnished and I really hate that for those that recieved it that really deserve it. I give Brandon the thug award. and for those who claim to know him and feel he is a good kid...I would hate to see what you classify as a bad one...my gosh.
  21. I say this to every member of the 2005 Loudon Redskin football team. you all had a great year. you showed a lot of heart and fight in getting from where you were in 02, 03 and 04 to the 11-2 contender in 05. you have a coaching staff that is learning the winning ways and inner team leadership that leads by example. for the seniors that move on you have left your spirit at Dukes field to forever view all future games to be played. as I have said many times. Football is just stepping stone in lifes path that some of us choose to take. and wether you win, lose or tie you give it your all and never get down on yourself. this goes for the things you do after high school and college. so good luck and thanks for all the excitement and memories that you have given us over the past few months. see you all at the sports Banquet Your Friend and Fan Rick
  22. well football is over for this year ( great job guys) and now the talk is exciting for the Basketball team....word is they will be a tough match for about anyone they play. GOOD LUCK and GO SKINS
  23. I agree...good post....sometimes I think these folks are on crack when they post.
  24. have played and I know more about it than what you may think. you are real bubble headed if you think in the third when it is 7-0 Alcoa is not worried. you seem to be the bleacher coach.
  25. Warren winning the Mr Football award will be like Woodsen winning the Hiesmen over Manning. it will change the respect for the award.
