  1. I learned something a long time ago about being critical of other people. What's more, being critical of someone's grammar and educational background is one way to make yourself look really really stupid. The verbage, diction, and grammar mistakes in your above quoted text are pretty bad man. I'm only offering advice, I don't care if you use bad grammar or not, but give the other guy a break -- you're obviously not one to talk about someone else's "education." That kind of attitude is going to get you nowhere (if you're a high school kid). If you're an adult then you might be beyond the point of no return. Go rebels. *edit, forgot this was a Loudon thread sorry for off-topic reply
  2. Alcoa is a pretty safe pick. There isn't anyone in the east that's even close to as good as them in 2A. Westview, Huntington, Milan, etc (region 7?) winner will represent the west probably. Alcoa is definitely not a lock to WIN the championship, but i'd say getting there is a forgone conclusion.
  3. I stopped reading when you said "our offensive line is probably the best in the state..." I spit coffee out of my nose. good luck the rest of the season to Fulton.
  4. Alcoa watch out, Loudon has some BALLERS in the parkin' lot!
  5. The Knoxville News Sentinel reported that the Alcoa vs. Maryville rivalry was in fact the state's oldest rivalry. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but it's what the paper and the local news said around these parts.
  6. I'm not sure if they run at Cherokee Blvd in Knoxville, but I would imagine that it IS the fastest course in the state. It's like running on a football field for 3 miles. There are literally no hills and very few turns. Just out and back twice.
  7. so what, is he sensitive?
  8. just from being here a few days I could have told you that the FBE guy is jealous of Alcoa having a good team. I didn't know he was a Maryville fan though.
  9. guys there's no use arguing with non-believers. It's honestly like trying to argue with somebody about the existance of God, if they don't believe you're not going to change their minds. In this case, some people are always going to be negative and no matter how badly YOU want the kids to do well, they will be there to rub it in your face if a kid gets hurt or doesn't make first team all-american in college. Maryville has enjoyed a LOT of success in the past 10 years and this year's Alcoa team is stealing a little bit of their media thunder. Jealousy is one of those emotions that you cannot help sometimes. Most of the Maryville fans are very polite people from what i've gathered, but bad apples exist among Alcoa fans as well. If you take that under advisement your day is going to be a lot less stressful.

they don't call it the Daily Misprint for nothing.
  11. oh gimme a break. that quoted text is just company line crap. If you ask 100 coaches the same thing 99 of them are going to answer with the same standard bs answer like that.
  12. are there any takers on how many people Alcoa is planning on facilitating for this game? I've heard from other people that this game gets into the thousands...is that true? Is Alcoa capable of accomodating that many people at their school?
  13. that's a good question. Or at least a website where the score can be checked before the 5 hour commute back to the Knoxville area?
  14. Internet rule #1: don't get drunk and post on message boards that your daughter's friends can use to make fun of her.
  15. I have to say I have never seen so much confusion about the date and location of a football game in my life!
  16. I don't know if anyone has asked this question already, but where IS Hopkinsville? Is this a suburb or Lexington or Louisville? Or is it one of the eastern Kentucky mining towns? Just curious.
