  1. Siegel 1-0 over Beach Beach played a very physical and solid game. Siegel's Kim Conrad scored late in the first half.
  2. Excuse me mr Collierville, Oh I mean Canesoverhere if you mean playing in the State Semi-finals as going home early I guess I'll accept that. Points are meaningless unless the teams have played the same number of games. Other wise they distort the standing.
  3. Your points are pretty much meaningless until Siegel and Riverdale play. Since Siegel has played a much stronger overall schedule and faired well I would say they are favorites going into next Wednesdays game. Riverdale may be somewhat improved from last year but so is Siegel. Siegel and Riverdale will most likley play twice if not three times like last year. But Siegel took the 2006 games 6-2, 4-1, 4-1. I would predict the same this year. Wednesday should be fun... A lot of bragging rights on the line.
  4. OK MJUHB let me know more after you calm down. I know that feeling. According to Eurosport it was 3-1 Riverdale.
  5. MJUHB be sure to post details tonight, I'm traveling otherwise I would have come to watch this game. Good Luck.
  6. Collierville played Centennial last night and Smyrna today. Anyone have the scores?
  7. Thanks for the complement Laban. Siegel has had a good run. The team is picking up steam and our early losses against Brentwood, Franklin, GPS have helped us to work on our weaknesses. I like Kim Conrad in the middle thank you very much. She's an outstanding passer and is smart distributing the ball. She can score too! Up top Hayley Sloan and Brittney Wynn are working better together with give an goes and finding seams to slip the ball through to each other. Anna Grace Gerhart back in the line up really solidifies our defense. In my opinoin this team is now better than last years. But as you know in soccer the ball can make funny bounces and teams can fail to show at any paticular game. But we are hopeful the run continues.
  8. Ok thats good. I misunderstood. Good luck in the district tourny then! Sounds like it could be competitive.
  9. So is that it? Shelbyville will play second place from 7aaa and Columbia first place? Tullahoma will not come out at all? I'm not trying to rub salt in the wound but it seems early to have distict 11aaa finalized. Siegel still has two more district games to play (Cookville and Riverdale) and then the district tounament which will actually determine the final winners.
  10. Brazil won the mental game and therefor the actual game. After the own goal by the US the Brazil team could smell blood. I'm not so sure the goalie issue made any difference on the field but it may have in the minds of the US. The USA had very few quality opportunities and in the second half it was the Marta show! She showed some incredible moves. The final will be a great game.
  11. I'm a bit suprised at that score, any details on the game?
  12. Siegel 2-1 CCS It was an ugly win for Siegel but still a win. Brittney Winn Goal Hayley Sloan Assist McKenzie Gibson Goal Kim Conrad Assist on a corner kick. CCS goal by their #18, dont know her name, on a Free Kick about 40yards out. Took a big bounce. Three good wins for Siegel - BA, Ooltewah and CCS
  13. Siegel 2-0 Ooltewah Kayla Ernst goal Brittney Winn assist Brittney Winn goal Hayley Sloan assist Siegel controlled most of the game, very few shots by Ooltewah Siegel's defense has improved with Anna Grace Gerhart back from injury and play of Kerby Towry, Maggie Trollenger and Stephanie Surgener, Kelsi Buck and goalie Sydney Dewberry. Kim Conrad also had a great game at Midfield.
  14. I could not make this game but did Sophie Bansford not play in this game? And if not do you know why?
  15. Good wins for both teams. Should shuffle the rankings a bit. Mjuhb thank you for your work putting the rankings together each week even if I occasionally pick on them. I know you put time and effort into them and I appreciate it. Keeps me entertained.
  16. good wins for both siegel and centennial. Should shuffle the rankins a bit. Mjuhb let me say thank you for your work on creating the rankings even if I occasionally pick on them. Again I appreciate your efforts.
  17. Wasnt Impressed with either team's Skill or Speed. Really! I guess that may be the way a Collierville supporter might have seen it. I think I might have even been sitting near you at the game. It was a well played game between two good teams even if you want to belittle them. Would like to see how often Collierville would make it to state if they played in Brentwoods district. Must be nice to know that due to the weakness in competition in the west Collierville has a free Ride to state every year.
  18. aaa Ranking One should look at strength of schedule too. Siegel has played close tough games with 3 of the top five and last night gave up a last minute goal against Houston. Ask Houston I dont think they would say we deserve a #12 ranking. But thats ok there are still a lot of games left to play and I do enjoy the banter. Siegel should be sitting at about #6 in my bias opinion. I know its a lot of work to create the rankings and I appreciate your efforts mjuhb.
  19. Siegel plays Houston tomorrow in Memphis. Should be a good game. With Gerhart back at sweeper it should allow Siegel to move Trollenger and Conrad into the Midfield. The schedule that Siegel has been playing really has tested the team. Sydney Dewberry at goalie played great in the Hendersonville game, lots of point blank saves. Winn and Sloan continue to play well up top and freshman Sam Pewitt and sophomore Kayla Ernst have have added more scoring punch. Sophomore newcomer Stephanie Surgener is a talented versatile player and scored in her first game against Brentwood. Looks like 7AAA teams are improving, should make for an interesting few weeks. Blackman over Riverdale could happen???
  20. Siegel has been hard to figure out. But today against Hendersonville Anna Grace Gerhart returned (Part Time) from an ACL injury. She is a terrific player and sweeper. With her return it allow Siegel to move Kim Conrad back to midfield. Kim would have my vote for most valuable player, she can play many positions well. Also, Siegel has a new player that has moved into their district recently which has added another quality player. Several freshmen and sophomore players are developing quickly. So they may be loosing to higher ranked teams for now their future is looking brighter as they able to keep more talented player on the field longer and in their original positions. A good test will come next Saturday when they play Houston in Germantown.
  21. Siegel over Lebannon 7-0
  22. Whats stranger than that is they have Brentwood at 8. There must be a lot of East and West TN influence on the Eurosport poll. I know this is asked every year but who is behind the Eurosport poll?
  23. Anyone with details on the Centennial and Hendersonville game?
