Moonwink, good to hear from you man, congrats on a great season.....i would never forget the Sioux or your ideas on the "thumb"....amazing that it took people so long to realize how crazy i am...you've always known......hope that your dad is doing ok, tale to the buddy man every once in awhile, take care and if you are ever in Johson city give me a shout....if you need to find out how i am doing just ask the 100 people on here that love to kill me on coach t.....as long as my sad life brings happiness to others....well, thats what its all about, giving back to the community

I appreciate your honesty and look forward to meeting you in Johnson City..... For Bulldog 69: I do not know whether i ever met you, if i did your certainly kept your wool's cloth over your face...i appreciate your comments and as i did so many years ago would love to know who you are in real life, please come up and visit me before i leave Franklin on Feb 9th, i've invited you many times to meet me up at school so that we could talk and share our feeling for one another...face to face...thanks for your honest assessment of my abilities For donathan2007/ student body president and all around good guy:: thanks for sharing your true feeling about me, i enjoyed the one year that you played, you could have been a good one...good luck and life and please feel free to come by and see me in my room before i go so we can catch up one last time...the door is always open...you have a great future and despite your feelings for me you will be a wonderful leader...please do not spend all of your time writing on this forum....you will become like our boy bulldog The players of independence deserve the best coach they can get, they are fine young men with great sets of parents...the table is set for the playoffs and i regret that i will not be there to see you take your place in the playoffs...character, class, dignity and hard work are traits that all these young men have displayed in the last 3 years and they deserve only the best...no one is sadder than i for us falling short, i will never forget the tears of the seniors that game after Brentwood....I have worked everyday to get better as a coach thanks for everything everyone has said on here good and bad...the good has helped me through the difficult times, the bad has firmed up my resolve to be even a better coach and to help Science Hill to another level...only time will tell!

Smith will be teaching classes up at Science Hill. He will not be teaching as many as he was at independence.

Independence High School located in Franklin, Tennessee is hosting an all day 7 v7 passing tournament on Saturday, June 17th starting at 9:00 AM.....to be emailed info please contact coach scott smith at scotts@wcs.edu...teams that are committed to play so far are: Ravenwood, Henry County, Glencliff, Lebanon, Whites Creek and Independence....cost is $200.00 per team, $100.00 for each additional team.....would love to have 10 to 12 teams!

Independence High School located in Thompson Station, Tennessee (just outside of Franklin will be hosting its 2nd Annual Passing Tournament. Cost is $250.00 per team with unlimited subs, each additional team will be on $100.00. Dear Bulldog69 hummer, several things to consider: One, We did not seek a 3A school out, you all sought us out...easy win I guess, by let me see...1, 2 , 3 oh you kicked us with a mighty 8 point win...something to brag about for sure....next year will not be by 8 points, i promise...no crying in football...remember Two, you are not the brightest bulb in the class, for instance unlike you and several others with to much time on their hands I don't kiss and tell...but if that makes one feel better to kiss and tell, well go ahead Third, feedback from BGA, about what? help pick out their fertilizer, what color to use in their uniforms, please don't recruit our kids...whatever...sorry the application process did not go so well for you, have always helped in the past...don't be bitter, the cowboys are hiring...I mean the Franklin cowboys.... my, my, my my time away has not improved the posting...such bitter feelings from some that I am so close to......hate to intervene but since my name has been burned in every circle let me go ahead and state that Green Lantern not only is a member of the justice league but a close coaching friend...not that I have many and that is ok to...feels good to be back....I have missed it...now this is me and I am impressed with all the overweight, hurt back and who cares Sherlock Holmes we have on the net...I will talk to my boy lantern and get things very straight with him...bulldog69, hope that is not your IQ size, tell me who you are and I am sure we can play a game in the next two years, oh that's right, we can't because I will be gone....on that check back Jan 9th, new transfer coming in...or is it spring...LILIL...or whatever, go back to sleep....boys it has been real and I wish the new coach at BGA lots of luck...good people, just like my boys at Independence.....signed Batman was a tree hugger but atleast he was not boring!!!!!

Please let me say this, Smith is many things but cheating is not one of them, the thompson station area is growing at an incredible rate and people want their kids to get noticed, especially quarterbacks.....they will win and they will win the right way.....williamson county has a really odd transfer policy and several kids are not happy with their present coach in the county.....just want to have fun....again, i think he will stay no matter what the offer

I only know what Smith tells me and he feels that they can compete for a state championship in a few years, really starting to get players transferring in...will only have 6 or 7 seniors next year but heard they are getting some studs transferring in....he lives so close to the school and all...i just say that if he went private it would be easier for me to get into coaching with him again

I do want to put this rumor to be about Coach Smith at Independence, even though the money is attractive at BGA, he will not leave the eagles, he loves it there and wants to stay for many years...Smith will not go to BGA, he wants to win more gold balls at Indy...........wish he would give it a try, works very well with the private school athlete...would allow love to coach with him again, private schools make it easier to coach at their school

Heard that they are waiting for the new year but Jackson Howell's name keep coming up over and over again....and why not...breath of fresh air, not that the air was bad....knows the spread offense under smith, great defensive coordinator at Ezell-Harding where he put in place some great defensive schemes..great with kids, was loved by the kids and rest of the coaching staff....deserves his chance and would be lucky to get him...

I heard that there are three in the mix.....all 3 are 5-A coaches in Williamson county...in fact all 5 have "gold" balls...merry christmas

Ddaddy, I think Roger Perry is an excellent coach and did many wonderful things for Portland including a state championship and in general class and character...he has won everywhere he has been.....sometimes just fun to try a new approach

no hidden agenda....just a big jackson fan, worked with him and smith at Ezell, coach howell should have taken the ezell job when smith left for greener pastures....worked with them in a non-official way for years.......my son played for him

Howell was offered the Ezell-Harding job several times but turned it down due to the long drive and his young children.....I think now he is ready to get back to the high school level......say hello , spread...goodbye playoffs, are you crazy.....all hail to the vaunted three play attack of the wing-t...atleast it makes play calling easy, simple enough when you players are the best
