Science Hill began spring pratice this past monday and so begans the quest to replace the confrence offensive poy and just about every skilled position on the team.

Actually Science Hill strengths will lie up front and in the running game. They lose the top 5 receivers and one of the best QB's that I've seen play high school football. Ben Murray is an conference player at OG and DT. Solomon Duannah is 2000 yard rusher waiting to happen. Toppers will be breaking in a new QB since the confernce Co-player of the year Brandon Shoun took virtual all of the snaps. David Alexander should have an break out season, he has good size and speed and packs an wallop. With some consistency in the offense and better defense, especially in the middle since they started an freshman at nose takle, they are in a position to surprise some people.

Yeah Soloman is going to be a nice one, they left me scratching my head alot too but I guess that's high school football. Too many inputs from outside sources I think.

Just trying to get some talk going about Science Hill football and football in NETN in general. All I ask is, be respectful because we will be talking about kids. Let me know who's out here that can talk football because I'm going to be around a couple of years.

Ashlon Adams at Science Hill he's 6'4" and still growing and only 14.

Haven't seen it released either but expect in tomorrow's papers. The award was given to him at Science Hill's fall sports banquet Monday night.

Region 1-5A offensive player of the year. One of the finest efforts I've seen of an high school quaterback (first year since 87 I've watched it). Lead the conference in passing yards, passing touchdowns and was third in rushing yardage.

No update yet but considering the score and the concern for that player, I thought it showed a lack of class for or to run a fake punt once the player was removed from the field. I'm of "there is no such thing as running up the score" as long as the game is being played so I'm not sour graping, just my opnion. Was my first experince to or and thought they were by far the fastest team that Science Hill has played. Well played and clean game. Congratulations on moving on and good luck thru the rest of of the playoffs.

Should be a non-factor, my son plays for Science Hill and when they played my alma mater it was all about seeing him and his teammates be successfull.

I don't know much about the Beavers but unless you were at the Bearden or Sevier County games to say that the Toppers got out physical is an misrepresentation. The Bears were able to run the ball up the middle and take away Joslin as an outside option. There was an critical error in clock mangement before halftime that the Toppers were unable to rebound from that in my opnion cost the Sevier County game. Science Hill was able to do everything but score points against Bearden. Seniors last home game and they are ready. Look for them to put up an quick 14-21 points and then play with the lead the rest of the game. SHHS-42 KKHS-14

LOL about what I expected, that's the argument that I hear but it's really the individual who determines who has the top grades. So the band wants to have their cake and eat it too. This one time at band camp...........

Since the football games are pratice for the band, maybe the football teams need to start charging the bands for the seats, workspace and take back the concession stands. My son plays for Science Hill and there hasn't been one game that the football team has been able to warm up after halftime on the field because the band has ran long. The last time I remembered, the games are played for the football teams but then again this is the age of "everyone wins and there are no losers" maybe that has something to do with the sizes of these bands at these schools.

I don't know how other people feel because I try to stay away from the politcs of the program. I try to teach my son that he has to be able to go and get the information that he needs from the coaches without my involvement. NOT whining about PT but what does he need to do to get better so that he can help the team, which is hard enough to do and expect the Coaches to be honest and forthright with him. I try to do teach him that in all of his relationships, it's called communication. I've never coached HSF so I really try to be supportive of the coaching staff but my head is left sore from the head scratching I have done this year.

Gonna be there regardless, hey what else does a dad have to do on a friday night when his soon is dressing out on varsity, it's funny since he has made 2nd team on offense he only gets about a series or two before heading for the sidelines but he is the happiest he has been all year, go figure.....

Hopefully, pretty bad since I have to make the trip up from Johnson City and my son won't get to play unless it's a blow out one way or another. I'm surprised to hear someone else's opnion of our coach, I have my opnions and I won't say but alot of the coaching stafffs program management has left me scratching my head, why do u think our coaches are bad?

Hill game tonight?

Can any suggest a good camera for filming high school games? I have an Cannon ZR85 but now that my son is on varsity, it doesn't do as well as for night games, any suggestions?
