Another way to think of this is; if we develop linemen they will be able to spell the starters therefore they stay fresh the entire game plus they will be ready to step in next year as starters. Getting them the time this year is necessary even if we don't put up huge numbers. Being where we want to be at the end of the year is what is important. That is where the good coaching comes in, looking at the big picture.

MP needs to use this game to work on their line play. We won't make it past the first round like we are playing now.

Didn't Spring Hill beat Marshall Co? And Columbia slaughtered Spring Hill? Columbia wins by 28. Ok my mistake I checked and Marshall Co got beat by Hickman Co so still the same prediction Columbia by 28.

I used to agree with that but not anymore. Now days the fields are in such good shape teams don't really loose too much footing until late in the game and not a lot then.

Have to disagree with you about the gate. LC will see this year, if they don't already know, Ezell will bring all of 25 fans to the game. That's the main reason MP dropped them, no money from the gate. Most of the other ABC schools aren't going to bring as many fans as MP and WC will to the games. Schools got to make money somewhere to help with costs. I will say it is a great help to MP and WC to play LC but I don't think it helps LC much at all. If they would have had to go to a passing attack or at least had to try to use it in either game then you might say LC improved from those games. But they didn't so everyone knows that LC can't pass and will load up on them. It's the same thing people say about MP. Can't pass so just stop the run, and eventually it will happen wheather it's the 1'st round of the playoffs or 4th.

Jim Hamilton is his name and they did play a very good game against MP the other night. I believe CA wins this game unless PC controls the ball and the line of scrimmage then they have a chance to keep it close to the end. I still believe CA wins but if it is close at the end you never know how the ball will bounce.

Who is the middle school coach in PC? They did a real nice job against MP last night although they came out on the loosing end. He seemed to have a real good game plan.

I believe Huntland wins this one handily. At least I hope so. I don't want to think that more than 2 region 6 teams would loose to MTCS. If Huntland doesn't win handily then that would mean that PC, Huntland and Zion would loose. That in turn means that region 6 isn't as strong this year.

You sure are hopped up over a win against a 1A opponent. You're also a jerk. WC comes to LC and gives them a good whipping if they play with their heads on. LC is good but WC comes out with a win because LC is overconfident. And really they don't hit hard. If they did someone from MP would be hurt. Wayne Co don't take any crap off these guys. If you hit their linebackers you will come out with a win.

The stats I gave were from '69 til present. That's when the new high school was built. But 25 - 30 - 1 aint to bad when you consider the last 7 were losses for MP. Before that we were basically even.

MP has a 13 - 20 - 1 record against LC. LC has won the last 7 or 8. That has been since they went to 2A. The last year MP beat LC was 94 or so. Until LC's enrollment grew the series was even. LC's enrollment around 550, MP's just under 400.

Mt.Pleasant scirmmaged them to a 5 or 6 to 1. I hope Cannon improved greatly and S Pitt isn't that bad. Cannon did seem to have a solid core of players.

BIG I think the Coach is doing a great job.

Marco played 1/2 or less in almost every regular season game last year until the C'wood game.

Fairview is a pretty good 2A school. MP is a pretty good 1A school. Fairview is just below Nashville if I'm not mistaken and MP is about 1hr south of Nashville. Only thing different is we still wear the leather helmets over here, we are kinda of backwoodsy. You need to pick us up some tickets for the UT games this year. lol

I'm glad to see this thread getting back to some civil conversation. I think it is only fitting because most of the kids playing the game said the other team was respectful for the most part. If they can be on the field we should be able to off the field, don't you think? Sorry to hear about GP beating 5A Ravenwood. That doesn't bode well for LC but don't let it intimidate you.

Have to agree. Cascade wins this one by at least 3 td's. If not region 6 better look out, there may be a new sheriff in town.

W'boro may match up better on the line than MP did as far as attitude, there ain't nothing wrong with the attitude in MP. We ain't takin no crap off no body, not even LC. Just cause ya'll's feelings got hurt cause we scored on ya'll and ya'll didn't want us to, then ya'll wanted to taunt some of us don't mean we got an attitude problem. We didn't take nothing from you on the field or off of it. And besides it was a few isolated incidents. Most of the people and kids on the field were respectful. Even most of the kids playing said both sides were good to play against so let the tude thing die.
