Not being a smart aleck here, but, and no offense to any teams I mention, if Smith Co. moved up from 2A to 5A they might not appear as good. Suddenly they would be playing with Riverdale and Maryville instead of Upperman and Westmoreland. I agree with your evaluation about both teams and I do think Gordonsville wins the game but we cannot overlook Watertown because they beat a good KY team. They had 92 players dressed out and had some very athletic kids. Watertown shut them down.

Same here. This should be a heck of a game. Gotta root for FCS because it benefits G'ville if FCS wins.

When I walked in to Watertown field that night and looked at the KY team, I thought the mercy rule would come into effect at halftime. WRONG. Y'all played a great game and I think y'all will give us all we want. It should be a heck of a game.

GHS had better not overlook Watertown. I was at the WT game during our bye week and watched them beat a very good team from Kentucky. That team is the defending 2A state champions from KY.

I thought it was a great game and both teams played really well. I loved the dueling horns. FC started blowing their horn first and, apparently, did not know we had one with us. After we returned fire, the battle was on. As far as the FC missed FG, I was in the scoreboard endzone and could not be sure but it looked like he just hooked it.

Hey Temple, I look forward to seeing you guys next week when you play Friendship Christian. They have a good team but they are far from unbeatable. They made a couple of nice plays at the end of the game tonight to knock out Gordonsville after Gordonsville led the whole game. Good luck to you and have a safe trip to Lebanon.

Just kidding Good luck from here on out. We can make no excuses. FC simply made their extra points and we missed our second one and had to try for two. We missed that and lost by one. Gordonsville fan here. I just wanted to congratulate Friendship on a good win tonight. It was a fantastic game played by two very good teams. I can make no excuses. FC won a very cleanly played game. Congrats again and I will be back next Friday to watch you play Temple. Good luck from here on. Gordonsville has a lot back next year so next year's games should be great as well. I'm out.
