  1. I took a 3 week sabatical, got tired of arguing. I broke down and looked today and had to post something. Email me I need to ask you something. Check your gmail.
  2. This is earth shattering news here G. Football is all about blocking and tackling, and also running the ball. Brilliant! I may be wrong, but have you ever coached football? I doubt it. I would venture to say that blocking and tackling is practiced at every practice (in pads of course). Coaches always practice this, but sometimes it comes down to execution. I am not saying coaches are perfect, but you can practice blocking, tackling, passing, catching, kicking, etc at every practice, but it still boils down to the kids making the plays. So tell me what is different about this year? There are some different coaches, but the HC/OC and DC are the same. What has changed? Players. I am not saying anything bad about this team. I have tried not to compare this year to last years team, but they lost a lot of seniors that had a lot of varsity experience. They have a lot of good players with not much varsity experience. That is key. They will be better next year because of the experience. You have really over simplified running the football. You can have the best Oline and no running back or a great running back and no Oline and it won't work. It takes a combination of a good back and Oline. Teams and talent run in cycles. What happened to Ravenwood last year? Rector, who by all accounts is one if not the best coach in the region took his team to back to back championship games and then was 4-6 last year and missed the playoffs. Didn't see posts on here questioning him and his program. Sometimes teams don't have enough players no matter who the coach is. I am sure if you talked to the coaches they would tell you they should have tried different things, but it is easy for someone on the outside to second guess them. Are you really a fan of IHS or are you trying to rally support to get rid of the coaches? Coaching HS football is a lot different than rec baseball or whatever else you have coached if anything. If you haven't coached at the HS level you have no clue what it takes to be a good coach.
  3. If you have them under control tell them to bring it strong good game or not. The game was close last week and NE had the ball trying to tie the score and it was dead quiet. I'm not calling them fairweather fans, but if the crowd won't support the team, then others will. It is not only the students, but the parents. Even the band is quiet. Make some noise please!
  4. I agree that whatever he say as you put it won't affect the supporters, but you make it sound like it has been going down for years. There has been a drop in the noise level at games this year, but the stands are full. The fans do need to support this year's team and not be labeled as fair weather fans. Step it up this week and cheer the team on. They are working hard to win.
  5. I was basing it on the previous 3 years of them running the wishbone. Stack I or Wishbone matters very little since they are power running offenses.
  6. DC will have a chip on their shoulders after Indy had their way with them last year. That win helped the confidence of a then struggling Indy team. A win this year over DC would make it 3 in a row and help this year's team's confidence going into tough games against Ravenwood and Brentwood. DC will no doubt run the wishbone, but I don't think they have the studs as in the past. Could be a high scoring game but I think Indy makes it 3 in a row with a 14 point win. Go Eagles!
  7. I'll take issue with whom I want. The other posters mention it once and then leave it alone. You mention it all the time. Plus it is more fun to mess with you. Please enlighten us with the particular players names. Let me address the 2 previous weeks. Franklin game at IHS. There was a Tennessean reporter there. When a reporter is there they take care of getting the stats and game report in the paper. Game at Lincoln County. As I mentioned before, the home team is responsible for calling the stats in to the paper. It obviously didn't get done. I see their YTD stats through 9-26 are posted on the teams page of the school site. The paper doesn't send a reporter to every game.
  8. This is where I take issue with you. If you have something to say, say it and not insinuate it. There is no grassy knoll theory happening with the stats. In fact they were reported correctly to the newspaper this week and the Tennessean screwed them up.
  9. I know the Indy Nation is hoping for a Centennial win. Still hard to bet against a Rector coached team. Good luck Cougars.
  10. It is not that ominous. I didn't have a problem with the game plan. I do think this team deserves better support in the stands. These players and coaches are working hard to win games and when the other team has the ball and I can hear the other team's band instead of a rowdy crowd making noise it is pathetic. If you are not going to yell for your team, stay home. Home field advantage is more than just playing at your home stadium, it is about the rowdy home crowd.
  11. I think I counted 65 at one point. I am however underimpressed with the Indy fans in attendance. It was as quiet as a morgue. Come on Indy Nation. Pick it up and make some noise. You can socialize before and after the game. Your team needs support. Don't be bandwagon fans. Cheer loudly win or lose.
  12. Indy evens their record with a win over CNE tonight in front of a rowdy Indy homecoming crowd and 50 fans in the CNE stands.
  13. Every game is a must win in my opinion. If they end up with the same region record as Centennial, Centennial goes because of the heads up tie breaker. Lots of football left, but there isn't much room for error.
  14. I wasn't counting that year since they had no seniors. Northeast is a better team, but Indy till wins. Your prediction looks about right.
  15. Let's talk about the game for once. It is Homecoming week at Indy. Indy comes off of a good, much needed road win. Northeast seems improved. I don't think Northeast will be able to stop the Indy offense. I think Indy is better overall and should win. Should be a decent game unlike in the past. What do you think?
  16. Then emailing Coach Eubanks who is in a position to do something would be better, that was my point. I am also not a huge fan of your condescending tone, but that is just my opinion.
  17. It seems to be curious just to you. The reason I know how the stats work is that I took care of them in previous years. Due to not being able to make all of the games there are new stat people. Why not email Coach Eubanks (email on schools website) instead of making comments about it on a discussion forum. Better yet, it you are that interested, why don't you volunteer to keep the stats and then you can call them in yourself. I guess it is much easier to post on a foum than offering to help.
  18. Forget the conspiacy theory. The home team is responsible for calling in stats to the Tennessean. As for the Franklin game there was a reporter there and they usually take care of it when they are there.
  19. FT, Not just your observation. I no longer have a player on the team so I try to be objective. I keep letting myself get pulled into these threads and I keep vowing I won't. I too want to congratulate the Eagles on a good road win. Keep the momentum up vs CNE for homecoming. Take it from me parents of players. It will be over before you know it, so enjoy every minute of your players high school career. If you want to focus on all of the negative you are depriving yourself of good memories. Enjoy the good ones while you can.
  20. For the first time I agree with you. Not only is he a very good coach he is a class person.
  21. Roberts is, but I don't see Finney listed.
  22. What did you expect him to say, they were going to overlook them...lol. Centennial should win if they take care of business.
  23. DC is definitely down and Centennial is a much improved team. If they don't take them lightly they will win.
  24. It doesn't clear it up at all. In the grand scheme it is not worth debating you on this since you have a vested interest.
  25. You have never answered a question I asked you so I will take you off the hook. I don't want you to answer any questions I have asked, because when it boils down to it I could really care less anymore. I hope that Nick does really well at whatever position he plays, because if he is playing well it helps the team.
