  1. This was BGA, this was expected.
  2. Where did Bruce Little end up? Didn't he commit to Colorado at one point?
  3. I am in the Mid-West and I have heard from several friends that while playing high school football in Illinois they received screening for steroids and illegal drugs...if this New Hope Academy hopes to persue and uphold the same values BA players have the past few years they may start facing serious sanctions right away.
  4. Anybody questioning the depth of Division II AAA right now?
  5. mba beat ba 17-0 in ricky bower's last year at mba, 2001. fisher came out in that game.
  6. MBA 17 BA 7: Snyder carried the ball close to 30 times for over 100 yards. The BA offense was literally picked apart piece by piece as Ford, Garrett, and Townsend all ended up on the sideline by the game's end. MBA's defense dominated. A blocked BA punt went for an MBA TD in the second half. 8 BA first downs 15 MBA first downs 3/11 BA 3rd down conversions 6/13 MBA 3rd down conversions
  7. riverdale is the team that makes me proud to be from tennessee living in another state. of course they are a powerhouse, i'm a D2 alum and have seen riverdale in scrimmages year in and year out since i can remember and they are nothing short of a football factory. riverdale, mba, oak ridge, mus, dobbyns-bennett, melrose, germantown, and ba know what it's all about when it comes to football and i consider all of those schools powerhouses from the coaching staffs to the last player at every position on the depth chart.
  8. Would you rather have a workhorse RB in Andy Snyder or the one two combo of Tyree Ford and Ryan White? I don't think BA can find their "groove" enough to get past the MBA D. Tyler Griffin was one of the most underrated players in the entire state last year and I can't imagine BA actually improving after losing him and replacing him with youth and inexperience, on both sides of the ball.
  9. MBA was leading BA 24-21 as BA tried a field ago in the final seconds. time expired(the TSSAA later agreed) on the score board but no horn was heard. BA's kick was counted even though lineman were not set and players were still running onto the field. mba players and fans were celebrating with the apparent arrival of the big 0:00 on the scoreboard but the game went into overtime and BA "won". MBA was ranked ninth in the USA Today at that time and would have been in the top five at the end of the season had their record remained untarnished.
  10. BA fans really shouldn't be proud of the "win" from 2003 in the regular season. But the fact that yall are says everything. MBA out classes, out coaches, and out performs BA every season. It'll be the same thing this year. BA always does the least with the most talent, so maybe they'll pull an upset with what seems to be a less talented team than MBA. Halloween 2003 was a travesty.
  11. this just in, melorse isn't the best team in memphis(they haven't been for two years). i don't think cbhs will be making it to the blue cross bowl let alone out of this game with a win.....but who would be disappointed about not getting to go to murfreesboro??
  12. i would expect referees to give the other team the nod in questionable situations over brentwood academy ANY time. ba(flatt) ruined tennessee high school football, remember?
  13. yeah cbhs won't score a point until the fourth quarter. good running backs don't seem to do much against mus this year. the cbhs defense isn't as good as mba or ba's and i can't see them staying within twenty five of mus.
  14. Guess I need to see MUS play. That's awesome MUS beat BA worse than they beat MBA, I appreciate that. When is the clinic bowl this year?
  15. Chill out Ole Dad, you give Tennessee Republicans a bad name. Did Bateman do anything? Did they even try to run the ball with him? How does Ryan only manage five first downs(according to the Tennessean online)? Snyder with 41 carries? Sounds like MBA dominated the possession game and won with defense.
  16. Middle Tennessee football is better and for that reason BA wins with an INT or two for TD's and multiple special teams TD's. Score is 31-24
  17. hah john is in a little trouble. but since football is more important than morality at that level, he and marcus stroud are one of the best pair of tackles in the game.
  18. all the football players i know up here in big ten country are pretty busy during the day. you know with football related activities...
  19. Daniel Brooks hasn't done anything at UT but he was incredible for Jackson Central Merry. What happened to Fred Sparkman and Adarius Bowman at UNC eligibility wise?
  20. everyone's holier than thou attitude isn't going to change the fact that tyree ford and ryan white are too fast for MUS. Playing BA after they lose stinks.
  21. i think it's a statement as to the kind of coaching mus, mccallie, mba, and ba all have to see so few players going both ways year in and year out. depth is usually not an issue with any of these teams. what is the mus coach's football background?
  22. how many seniors does mus start this year? and how many two way players do they have?
  23. didn't park throw 4 int's against baylor? sounds like baylor forced some turnovers and it sounds like someone else could have done better at qb that game for mus. yeah mba graduates usually don't possess any "intellectual intelligence"(haha). this is the first time i've ever wanted ba to win a game.
  24. if mba had its first string qb, ryan burns, he would not have bee in competition last year. even without ryan(best athlete in senior class) and without the best cover corner in D2 all year in crumbo mus and mba were just about equally matched. both games were incredible. be quiet, and be humble. mus has a good defense that really doesn't make mistakes. that's what gets wins for them. you could put a lot of guys at quarterback in an offense with depth like they have and a defense that is so well coached. ba always seems to get a win every once in a while against the likes of mba, mccallie, and mus. ba has so much speed this year once again and i think they'll do what baylor did last year... force turnovers and run the ball against mus. i think they'll win this one.
  25. frhs and mba each have a lot of depth. if each team's oline's hold up i think the game should be a good matchup. frhs will, and should, pressure howe a lot so if his protection holds up he can not mess it up. rutledge should run the heck out of snyder and macgavok johnson(who tore southaven up last year). it'd be nice to see frhs win the next two games against mba though. mba tackles well and is always around the ball, you don't play there if you aren't, bateman isn't going to get arm tackled. the qb's will decide this game. i think ryan blair is better than david howe, it will show friday. i have seen howe play since the 7th grade and ryan blair since the 7th every weekend and have thought since the parochial league games that they would compete well against each other. christ the king's 7th and 8th grade team beat ensworth when the juniors on these team were in 8th grade and each team has a lot of players from each of those teams. that doesn't say much but i'm trying to bring light to the fact that this should not be the typical mba ryan matchup of the past 6 years.
