First of all, let me say I was frustrated when I posted the last 2 post. However, this was a bad showing on both teams not just 1 team. There were plays where both teams were flagged for Unsportsmanlike and all the calls were necessary . Unfortunately, everything happens on AE sideline and they will see more of AE players "trying" to get on the field instead of seeing the other players from the other team. Good Luck next week!

Let's not start that because you all are not seeing what's going on on the AE sideline. I just knew that you all would think AE started the mess. We finally got a crew that's calling/seeing the dirty stuff that Alcoa has been getting away with for years. 1st incident; #5 from Alcoa stood over Cherry on the tackle and pushed his head into the ground. Of course the AE players are going to react that's the first one. 2nd incident #5 from AE whooped Alcoa lineman off the line and that lineman grabbed his face mask. #5 from AE got into that lineman face and then #77 from Alcoa pushed #5 from AE and that started the 2nd one. So let's not say that AE isn't discipline because Alcoa is doing the same and the refs are finally calling it. It just so its happening on AE sideline and they're catching everybody that's stepping 1 inch on the field. Now go ahead and be like Union COunty and say yall are so innocent ...... I feel for yall in basketball that's all I'm going to say

AE vs Alcoa one of my favorite game weeks ! No one in the State of Tennessee is giving AE a chance ! Many have already pencil Alcoa in as winners. HOWEVER, if those boys from the East of Knoxville come ready to play and not bow down to Alcoa like many other teams do, they may pull it off. The main thing is ; GOTTA wrap up , gotta make plays on offense , GOTTA WRAP up on defense , AE Gotta Believe they can win and did I say “GOTTA WRAP UP!” . It’s all about their mindset……

Actually, we ran the kickoff to the 20 yard line. Then we had 2 false start, then a 76 yard pass down to the 13 yard line. Then we called timeout and came out of the time out with a slant pass to the endzone for the go ahead touchdown. Then they had a big kickoff return to the 50 yard line threw hail mary and we stopped them at the 11 yard line. This game could've went any way.

We're shooting ourselves in the foot right now.. Too many penalties and we're playing down to their level not doing the things we should be doing in order to get this score in a safer zone per say. At the half AE 22- UC 14. We gotta get a better push rush on their QB which is stud. Also prayers going out to their UC's DL he went out with a possible broke leg.

All the hoopers are still playing on the gridiron I can guarantee that! If I'm not mistaken these two teams played 3 years ago with similar records, UC prevailed with a 21-17 victory. I think if AE comes to play and don't let the cold weather gets to them, they should be able to put up a lot of points against UC like they have the last 2 games. It all depends which AE team shows up! I'm hoping they want to advance past the first round of the playoffs for the first time in about 5 years. Let's GO AE!

@CaptainGuru see you need to start a new thread Austin East at Unicoi County and let us know what you think. I know you're picking against AE but its all good. We'll be looking at traveling to Blount County next week

Those 7 players sat out against Scott County last week. AE should be in full strenght this week against Unicoi County. AE played up in Erwin I want to say 3 years ago so AE knows what to expect. But don't judge AE on their record they are a much better team and they have been playing hard as of late. Plus check the scores of the similar teams that each school played, don't think AE will just be a cake walk either. I think AE takes this one, just for sweet revenge of the last time these two teams played.

UC as in Unicoi County the other UC

I second your 2A picks! Austin East didn't lose too much to graduation and they have some good freshmen stepping in . Watch out for the Roadrunners 3A- Fulton will be loaded as well, they have the 3 headed beast back and they have a freshman player that ran KCS middle school league last season. Plus rumor has it they have transfer from a local high school that's going to add some fire to their already hard to beat line up.

So why didn't you start a post with this statement? THere's some UC fans on here and you already know I'm going to talk my stuff. But AE is good on the hardwood without the football players right now. We have at least 2 weeks left of football .

THey used to have a game of this magnitude at Grace Christian Academy back in the day. I'm not sure if anyone is looking to play in a fundraiser game like this anymore

Oh really? When and where? I didn't know AE played Karns..... That was Fulton and Karns that had little scuffle after their game. You see how disrespected AE is! AE wasn't involved in that altercation but OUTSIDERS would put AE in anything haha

I doubt it, they will find every reason of not moving up even though the number of students in that school building exceeds a 3A school

By the way, AE beat Scott 60-28, AE finished 3rd and Union County finished 4th..

Scott not beating AE so you have nothing to worry about but if Scott beats AE, Union County would be 3 and Scott would be 4 leaving AE out. DOesn't make sense but that's how it would work
