  1. thats good to hear...good luck to Alcoa this Friday
  2. thanks / may have to go to this one even though loudon is at home ...decisions decisions decisions....I'll go with Alcoa by a touchdown (if they have any leftover after last week)
  3. we just like most other schools have had our share of bad years (some 0-10 years as a matter of fact) so we know defeat. and yest we have our share of obnoxious fans as well that really hurt Loudon's reputation...Lowering your standards, however, doesnt help your arguement. Anyway enough of that talk I was not able to go to this but I hope we weren't quitting. It would be a shame to give in before we even kick off. Regardless of the opponent
  4. I'll agree with Fan2Fan and go Loudon by 10
  5. You may be right...Loudon had trouble friday night against LC. It was a punt return, recovered fumble in the endzone, and a play where Hawkins just broke a bunch of tackles that they scored all three TD's on Friday night. I think Hawkins and Cambell are playing better this year but there is not much depth around them (as compared to last year). In our best scenario, Alcoa tries to much and shoots themselves in the foot. I doubt it, but thats always a possiblity
  6. well we could argue about last year all day but we'll never know. As I stated before Loudon is a little down from last year and Alcoa is probably a little better so I do think alcoa wins big. I do think we'll score though. Cambell has been playing excellent and Hawkins is starting to finally come on. Good luck to both teams
  7. Prayers from the Loudon Redskin community. Look to God for your strength
  8. Harig is decent...I won't call him one of the best because its still a work in progress. As for last year, had Loudon been in the same 3A region as they were the year before they would have been competitive if not won the region. Fulton and AE were both down and Loudon did beat Kingston and LC which were in their region the year before. As for Harig's first two years, any other coach wouldnt have done much better. Loudon is the same as most other average schools, you have 3-4 really good years and 3-4 really bad years. If you look back at the win totals back to the 60's you'll see what I'm talking about (ie state champs in 74 and 75 then struggled some at the end of of the seventies). He is very knowledgeable about the game and came from a top-notch high school in Ohio so he know what it takes to win. Again, he's no Steve Spurrier but he has the kids believing in him and his game plan Thats enough about Harig, lets stick to the topic. I still say Loudon 13 Alcoa 34. I think we'll score this year
  9. I'll go Alcoa 34 Loudon 13 / Alcoa is clearly on another level this year and Loudon I think is a little down from last year.
  10. If Loudon and LC werent playing this week I would definitely find myself at this game but I'll get to see enough of Alcoa next week. This is a hard one to pick! I will go with Alcoa merely because their in Loudon's region but Fulton smacked Loudon earlier in a scrimmage. Alcoa by 2 in a shootout
  11. What does Polk have this year? I have only seen box scores so just from that I will go with Polk Co. by 14.
  12. 1. Alcoa 2. Loudon 3. CAK 4. Rockwood 5. Sweetwater 6. OS 7. Wartburg Loudon is an above average 2a team again this year but Alcoa is still on another level. Dont get me wrong any team can beat any team on any given night, but assuming Alcoa's A game shows up against Loudon's A game I'll have to with Alcoa. They just have more athletes again this year.
  13. Hawkins looked hampered last week but I thought it was because of his ham string(at least that is what he looked to be trying to keep stretched out). Cambell looked pretty good though. I think Loudon wins this one and hopefully its not the last one for these two teams. I'll go Loudon 34 / LC 12
  14. From a Loudon and east TN football fan...I appreciate the post game posts on this thread...looks like you folks respect each other and the game of football the way we're all supposed to i was hoping alcoa would win simply because thats the only losses we have suffered this year however i'm not sure they can stay together. they lost Brandon Warren for the year and Sykes was already out so their defensive line suffered two big losses should be interesting this week against tyner good luck to all teams this week
  15. from a loudon fan...great job to alcoa last week. i thought it was an excellent game against loudon up until the last 7min then we kind of caved in i say go alcoa this week and all the way to murfreesboro. i'd rather beat alcoa any day but if not its good to know that loudon only got beat by the best. alcoa 30 tyner 21
  16. thats why i said alcoa RELOADS not REBUILDS but we'll take anything we can get. Certainly Alcoa is the overwhelming favorite but this is high school football and anything can happen....just ask Fulton
  17. dont let the actions of a few speak for all loudon fans / i think the loudon and os fans went a little to far but thats last week...i'll move on go big red
  18. lets hope for a closer game...sykes killed us last game with him out maybe we can attempt to move the ball. alcoa seems to reload instead of rebuild so we'll just have to see what happens friday night and on the 91 points i think most football fans could care less about that / when your defense puts 35 points on the board of course the score will be high...good luck to both teams and i hope the champion comes out of this region either way
  19. that was the year after i graduated. both teams were loaded that year
  20. I have no idea about Tyner this year but they are typically competitive year after year. As a matter of fact one of the most talented teams to ever come through loudon (1996 season) got put out of the playoffs by Tyner 14-13 @ Tyner. I dont think anyone's counting Tyner out but until someone knocks off Alcoa thier still the champs Go Big Red
  21. Thanks Tom, I wasnt able to see the first match up and unfortunately wont see this one either (love those Friday night college classes) but I'll catch the 3rd and 4th qtr on the air.
  22. unbelievable some of the crap on here...some people have mistaken showing class by showing their behinds lets stick to the subject.... is sykes out for alcoa...i thought i had heard that somewhere on the radio but wasnt for sure....also is shiverdecker similar to lindsey in his running style? i think if loudon can establish its self early (as in not fumble on the first or second play like we did last time) maybe its a different and closer game. alcoa has more talent but they (i dont think) havent played in many close games so if loudon can keep it close it should be interesting....either way good luck to both teams Go Big Red
