Did anybody see Coach Allen on the Stump show the other day.He said it was a God thing that those boys from brainerd and howard ect,ect are there and that no recruitng was done.He also said he didnt recruit what so ever at Lakeview.Why do you think they let him go he came off 2 of there best seasons.When is somebody at silverdale going to take a real good honest look at what is going on.That is a great church and is a whole lot more important than building a program at all cost.Going to schools in brainerd and asking for names from jr. high and visiting brainerd and howard through christian athlete program reps is against the rules.The woody allens are not worth a couple of good years if they can even produce that.Then again I told you guys a long time ago about this stuff so dont act like I am crying becuase it doesnt affect my team.I just got tore up when he called all those kids coming a God thing.

Listening to you speak you you might know those teammates but you arent aware of the circumstances of these coaches that I am referring.As far as Temple recruiting its self be serious I have been around football a long time Temple doesnt come up when talking good football schools.Maybe basketball to a few students here and there after the success you and your brothers had but that is it.You guys had one good year in football lets not stretch it.It would take some serious undue influence for me to move my sons to temple and I respect what Temple has been about for decades.When you talk about just noticing a good situation for your kids Temple doesnt stand out like a big time high school proram for everything involved or you would have a great deal more students.That is why it is so hard for the average person to just say hey lets go play at temple are senior year or any other year. You have know clue! Did SE let the coaches go because they cared for those boys.NO and like I said they were starting to open some eyes with teams they were beating not sruggling at the time they were let go.This with the coaches happened before and then the kids moved.I could care less what happens with your class but like I said nothing is cut and dry and some coaches and representatives get tired of in your face blatant violations as was the case with csas.Your probaly defensive for several reasons but my guess is mainly related to the letter sent to TSSAA from csas about spring football that also mentioned kids on the roster transferring in on last years football and basketball team.Just guessing???

You are no doubt on the defensive of this matter and were at Temple and you also are saying that this recent problem is probably true.That sounds kind of goofy your defending the past but accusing the present sounds like you are bitter.I know when S.E.whitfield made such a fuss and you more than likely know there are 2 sides to every story.I have listen to Temple fans on here that claim to know the program well for the last several months on several different posts and have heard several different versions of stories why those kids and coaches left Georgia.Do you think SE WHITFIELD made a fuss for nothing.Do you think they let those coaches go for no reason because they were turning the program around.I can vouch for one butt wooping my sons school took from SE WHITFIELD.People on the outside never know everything or every detail because most times when things like this happen you have some facts and some rumors.But make no mistake it wasnt cut and dry like you put it and I am friends with several coaches in Georgia and Tennessee and have been a coach for several years and know a great deal of kids in both states.From what I can see over the last few years both private and public schools in Tennessee tend to switch kids without to much fuss from the TSSAA but in a smaller North Georgia area those coaches watch the situation more closely and are quick to make a fuss about it.I am not saying it doesnt happen because it does all the time.What I am saying is when it does happen there are several head coaches that will turn it in if it is blatant as was the case with Coach Allen at LFO who is now at Silverdale.

Do the leg work on what school I root for I will give you a hint North Georgia it is easy to check previous post and read between the lines.Your next post will be what do you care about Temple for my answer and next question would be the same reason chastain,kell, . skogen,ridley, larson to leave the Georgia schools and be apart of the great community of highland park and go to Temple.What is dadoffour (dad of 4 boys from Temple ) and where is Pasture you seem to have taken his spot.

Once again I would agree with you on a great deal of what your post said.As far as rushing I think it will get better and those guys up front that are coming back are young and I hope will get better.You were a little off on your rushing totals of 800yds.Coker 696yds- Hardesty 384yds- Foster 322yds for a total of 1402yds yes that needs to improve but Hardesty and Foster were coming off injuries and Coker missed I think 3 or 4 games last year.We as fans know things were real bad year before last I really think things are heading in the right direction.Get back with me on this one but I think the big keys are on the D-line and at wide receivers if we are better than average at these spots we could be pretty good. I think the secondary will be a surprising plus but you have R.Fellows and J.Parish coming back from injuries healthy ,Hefney speaks for itself and several players with game experience under there belt with some dynamic players coming in. Linebackers are looking good and I do think the D-line will get better.If we dont get out of the gate fast against Cal,FL,Ect forget everything I said in this post.

Iwould probably agree with most of your post but what do you mean by under-recruited in Tennessee?Because if your saying The SEC coaches whoever are missing out on the talent that may be true on a few here and there but there play speaks for itself after they go to college where ever they end up.THE numbers dont lie on how many div-1 prospects are successful each year out of tennessee compared to GA.,FLA. ALA.LA.ECT,ECT.I think every staff has there share of misses but overall the big time programs are consistent.Also, facility wise there is not much difference at all between a handful in the SEC but UT is close at the top.Lineman wise I think you might be confused upfront on d-line is where we need improvement along with some new receivers.Fulmer might be a little weak every once in a while on o-line but that is where those misses come into play not because he doesnt get some of the top rated offensive lineman which he usually does every year.

I am very realistic about things at Tennessee and Nick Saban doesnt need his due from me he is the man and I was hoping the tide didnt get him.I know what he is capable of doing and the remarks that are negative you here are from people that know it too or there upset because he left there program pro and college.As far as fulmer goes I dont always agree with him but in all defense he has kicked off some real talented players over the years and the list is longer than you think.Several of those players went elsewhere and played at another school some are in the pro's.Most people know all to well the Leak /clausen sagas C.J was agreat kid and tried his hardest to get on the field he just did not have what it takes Fulmer did not lie to him or miss treat him.The clausen family are very close to the fulmer family you cant believe everything you here Rick stayed on and was a very good grad asst. for one year before going into business.Let us also remember Rick left Saban at Lsu to come to Tennessee.

I also heard he made it to the top 4 and had the best 40 time of all the QB's

Which kids is it not often I miss a UT headline and the one thing I hear on all the recruiting boards and magazines is how honest he is about where he thinks the kids can be the best at.Fulmers record speaks for its self do the math you can pull up on anysite how many kids he sends to the NFL and also find how prepared those nfl coaches say they are.I grant you I wonder why he has missed some kids in TENNESSEE but anybody will tell you he has to work the nation to get what he gets because most year in and year out TN. I do remember several of the post that were written during and before footballl season.If I were to forget or miss one that is why we can look most of them up.I would never put any blame on the administration except for being naive to what might happen with the coaching staff and a few of the players that of which has already happen.Those to which you said picked Temple 4th were thinking of the senior QB that graduated the year before with no go to guy behind him.Also, including myself could have never envisioned 2 seniors transferring into Temple as was the case with Larson and Ridley and having the sucess they had.They made that team very balanced more and more as the season progressed specially Larson.Temple also was mostly seniors most of who played both ways.They are all gone.I give a thumb up to Temple for keeping the program going and to the head coach for excepting the challenge but once again you are being way to optimistic.Everybody involved with this program has to have a lot of patients this kind of rebuilding takes time not 1 or 2 years.

Sorry for being so late on my reply I have only had a few post lately trying to catch up.There almost seems like there is some kind of connection with you and eagle maniac.I say this because in the past you have been pretty upset with other people's post but with this gooofball you take it in stride and everybody knows he's not representing Grace.So I assume you wont take it personal when I say to think Temple is going to have a winning season anytime in the next few years is being to positive.The middle school in the last 3 years has been getting killed and you have had as you have read more than Wadley and skogen leaving your program.I also think that your selling the previous Coaching staff short by not understanding what a good job they did and losing all of that is tough.I under estimated them this past football season and new the (2) transfers that came in and impacted the program.But unless you have some major transfers come in a hurry this will last a lot more than one year. If you are relying on the underclass and no transfers and Temple school is not very patient I think it could mean (1) and out.In order for school football to survive you need to not only have the numbers you have to keep the numbers.GOOD LUCK

After reading this post I really regret commenting on this topic.I know Josh very well and I am very good friends with his father who I repect a great deal.There is nothing good about this post .I regret commenting and would not want Josh to loose confidence in reading this post.Also, as a parent from Gordon LEE I would love to have Josh transfer and have wanted him to since he was in the 7th grade.I along with many others who know football and have known Josh have seen the talent , potential and poise he posseses.

His 1st year to play was at age 9 he didnt even play QB he was a receiver so 9&10, .4th ,5th grades.His Dad started helping me in the 4th grade Josh didnt play when he was 8 that was when my son started.

You seem to change your toon a little each time because the 3 years I helped his Dad and the years leading to his playing time at grace after we moved he stayed in the pocket and handed off or passed.As a matter of fact his 8th grade year he rarely ran.As far as High School that is totally there philosphy to run more with JOSH because I know his Dad is more of a balance coach and would like to see Josh throw earlier and more in games.

I am real interested who you are not what you say anymore because I was his coach in his first three years of ymca ball with his Dad and as he matured as a QB some big name coaches in the area talked about how he was one of the most poised QB's they had seen at that age.Maybe you could explain making good decisions since you have watched him for a number of years

I agree BigBody as I have mentioned many times my kids go to Gordon Lee and their only inexperience that stands out is at QB where they have a sophmore and junior with little playing time. I keep up with Tennessee high school football because I was born and raised and work in chattanooga.I also have seen Josh play and if he had the right supporting cast he would be better than good.There is not to many throws that he cant make and his running speaks for itself.As for jamesetta1 if you watched the games he played in as a sophmore what would make you say he could only throw a short pass other than he was running for his life every play and he had to get rid of it.I only wish Gordon Lee was the only school in the running for Josh but I know there are other schools that would be interested in Josh transferring.

Define long time.I didnt say exactly when Beard came but 2 years ago southeast unjustly fired there head coach (not Beard) who was doing well.Did he not also come and coach at Temple?You would have to go back and look at previous post to understand some of my point about recruiting.Transferring happens all the time and is not always ok with tssaa.Back then when Temple was making ther run and things were starting to look better for silverdale people did not want to even acknowledge kids being swayed from other schools and beating the system but it happens all the time.

Correct me if I am wrong Coach Beard came from Southeast ,then later on larson and ridley came from southeast after sitting out and moving???????Wait a minute move is taking it a stretch.Wadley and Joey gone.If a few potential players from temple leave and Coach Beard goes to silverdale or where ever with his son.Not only is his son eligible right away temple wil have to shut down there program and be out thousands of dollars.Those players and everybody leaving will be eiligible right away.Hey Pasture I know this is all speculation but can you remember all those post we had about recruiting a few months ago.Mostly about John Allen and silverdale.I was trying to explain how much this stuff with addresses and transferring goes on in a lot of schools but not all schools.I coach in GEORGIA and thats what Allen got ran off from Lakeview about he got carried away and was banned from north georgia period for 2 years.Thats why he went to cleveland and went 1-9 or something and then to silverdale this year and the heat is getting turned up on him there.Reps from Tssaa have already asked questions concerning new students at silverdale. I think Beard going to silverdale is not that far fetched.Pasture if you keep thinking this way they will start calling you terrible names and judging your courage.

The thread talked of a rumor of seth leaving early so what I was talking about was his football future will he add some pounds and play tightend in college or will he play receiver.Also, this thread started out pretty good take it easy why are you getting defensive.

What do you mean by you hope Temple does right

Just wondering,is he preparing to beef up and play tightend or play at receiver.Also,what is temple's chances just losing wadley and joey.I honestly think they had a pretty good chance at a state run if everybody had stayed.They had everybody coming back and played 4 out of 5 close with grace and they went to the finals.Minus those 2 what are there chances.

With Wadley and Joey not with the basketball team Coach Skogen said he would finish out the season but if Seth leaves after the first of the year what are there chances?Football recruits enroll early all the time because college coaches advise them to if possible because it hepls tremondously with all there college adjustments.I have heard the first several weeks for kids are rough sometimes in college but Seth is a smart kid and that will help.Can D-newsome and the Sexton boy carry the team pretty far with or without Seth.

My first question is why are you talking to Kevin and steve about there kids tution and 2nd here you go again acting like you know everything.You could have saved us from a bunch of these post by just telling up front about all of these events that were going to take place.Since you know how they spend there money you had to of known all of this other stuff.Once again it is not a slam on doing the best for your sons it is being up front and honest about it for the remaining kids and the school.IF the school for some reason knew all along all this transition was going to take place and was ok with it then somehow people werent informed like you few temple fans act like.otherwise why invest your time and money when there are other good christian schools dedicated to there athletic programs for the long run.

Go Fish I have been waiting on you and knew you would come back a little more softly than last time.That guy was wrong about wadley's time invested but he is not about skogen and beard.Of course he would tell those guys to do away with football than Joey would be eligible at mcCallie.IF they were wanting to leave temple football in good hands they should have been honest and had people invest in the feeder programs.You always act like you know whats going on with temple and there coaches so when everybody was predicting what was going to happen why diddnt you just say yes you guys were right.Instead you call somebody idiot or make fun of them and then want to defend people that are not upfront about there real motives. The comments you made about next year varsity is basically what everybody has been saying but your coaches when they were on stump martin show sure hadnt told anybody they were done after this year or the school wouldnt have obligated there self to about $15,000 for the 10 games next year.
