Good point! Also, before you complain or trash talk a referee, get a whistle and run in their shoes for a few years, make the thousands of split second decisions they make every game. Then do it in a huge game with thousands attending knowing that with every call you make half love you and half hate you! Referees are human and will make mistakes, some refs are better than others, but always rember this, that you are there rooting for a team so your view of the officials is biased. Referees go into a game with no bias (all that I know do!) CC

all signs point to a very strong possibility! Ive seen the top 4 teams girls and boys for both districts and a sweep might just happen. However, you never know what happens come tourney time. CC

We will have to agree to disagree. If there is a better district I would hate to know it or face them. Commander have you seen LC, UC, or Humboldt play in one of their matchups? If you have than you saw a different game than I did, and if you haven't than when you do we may come closer to an agreement on the best teams in the state. If there are any three teams better in the state in single a than these three they are then pretty awesome. Now, there will be some teams at the boro that are at the sme level as these three. You must remember that UC and Humboldt bring everyone back from state tourney appearance and majority of the year top state ranking in 2a! Also, LC was the only 1a team to defeat lst years state champs and they have everyone back! The middle and the west may have some great teams but the battle tested toughness of district 14a teams I feel will win out! CC

David Who are the SF fans gonna cheer for? Your favs gleason, greenfield? They aren't even playin anymore. Do they cheer for halls over LC. OH maybe they cheer for UC over humboldt and LC. I never made that statement I am not A UC fan and I knew Trousdale Would Blow out UC! in Football. This my friend, is a different sport and the cream will rise to the top. Middle, Chatt., and east all have great teams, but after the road a district 14 team takes to the boro it should be a tiny bit easier oce a 14a team get there. You cant tell much about a basketball teams success from their football team! CC

Like I said before, as tough as our district, region and substate is, the CAKE WALK will be at the boro! Honestly, though when you get to the boro all the weak sisters have gone home. Im jus t the fact that not only is district 14 the toughest in the state (Union City Top team most of last year in double aa w/ everyone back, Humboldt boro participant in double aa last year, trenton runner up in the boro last year plus a halls team that can beat any of these teams on any night, plus Lake County the only single a team to beat last years champions) but also the region has a strong Mckenzie team ranked in the top ten most of the year and after that you have last years state champs at sub state or a veery strong middle college team. Definitely the toughest rod to the finals statewide. CC

Already have their tickets punched!! You have lost your mind!! 1. It's an accomplishment just to get to the regional tourney outta district 14. 2. Once you get there you face each other again UC, LC and Humboldt have all spent time in the top ten. 3. Not to mention that mckenzie in the other district has spent time there also. 4. Then if you make it to the regional finals you will face either middleton, last years state champ or middle college who split with middleton this year. Without question district 14 teams not only have the toughest district to go through, but they also have the toughest road all the way to the finals!! So don't punch our tickets for us yet. phs, lets not downgrade a good halls team that beat a good trenton team! Fact is after losing a player like Doaks how can you expect to be at the same level, especially without a player of his equilvence. Besides, just to make it to the region tourney out of this district is an accomplishment. Lake Co., Union City, and Humboldt are great teams and maybe a step better than halls or trenton but halls and trenton both could beat Those three on any given night! I have seen all 5 teams play multiole times and believe that district 14's top five could beat most other districts top five across the state. It is a shame that trenton misses regionals and it will be a shame that only 2 teams out of our region will make substate!! Write it down and take it to the bank. There will at least one team from district 14 in the state championship game. If not it will be two teams!! Lake County and Union city in the finals is my prediction! Reasoning: Union City - top ranked for most of the year in double a with everyone back including the Mr. Bball candidate Marquis Weddle hands down the best player I have seen in any class this year. Probably shoulda won state last year if not for a crazy let down in regionals. Lake County - Last year beat the state runner up three out of four times and was the only single a team to beat state champion middleton last year. They have most everyone back and the ones not back are replaced by players twice as good. Also, Lake County is palying its best basketball at the right time, NOW! Also, Lake Co. has beaten another double a refugee in humboldt twice this year. They have everyone back from a state tourney appearance in double a last year. LC didn't just beat them, they demoralized them at their place. The game was over in the second quarter. LC also split with Union City this year. LC and UC as well as Humboldt, Halls and Trenton all in the same district. District 14 is considered by most across the state who know to be the toughest district. I don't know cause I have'nt seen middle or east Tn teams but for any district to be tougher or better would be UNGODLY!! It would be scary to see!! CC

west tn ballers are all I know!!! If there is a better one out there than weddle I havent seen him and I would like to. Single a nwtn top players 1. weddle uc (head and shoulders above the rest especially on offense) 2. smith humboldt 3. tyler lc (has been in a slump) 4. patrick halls (needs to learn when to shoot and when to go to the big boy) all 4 jave good teams around them but halls is short on depth and trenton doesnt have that "marquee" player" the others do. If there are any better in 1a across the state I wanna see them!!!

Union City, you all have an excellent team and every knows that and respects that but you are not doing yourselves a favor by bad mouthing Lake County it makes your team representation look bad and don't get cocky because thats what happened to Lake County when we played you all and look where it got us , getting beaten thats what and back to the game of lc/mckensie well I am supperstitious and I dont want to my words to come back and haunt me but I hope we play our best and run the ball but goodluck to Lake County falcons!!!! ~`FALCONS`~
