  1. I do know last win vs fcs was 89 or 90. Beat tchs 2 since 85 2006 2007. Gville 2008 2009 and maybe one time in the later 90s like 97 or 98.
  2. You are correct forgot about the move to 3a for 4 years, and fcs and watertown didn't play 94 95 96 97 maybe.
  3. Last win vs fcs was 89. Been 2 wins vs tchs since 89, 3 wins vs gville maybe so h20 is so 2 and 23 vs tchs, 0 and 25 vs fcs, and 3 and 22 vs gmen. There were six coaches during that time one three times I think. Webster is 2 and 6 vs tchs 2 and 6 vs gmen, and 0 and 8 vs fcs.
  4. Actually the personal foul(probably should have been a flagrant) was due to Watertown's #22 player being hit while in the endzone (Watertown best Wide Reciever and DB on Watertown's third possession of the game and possibly ending this young man's season), and the unsportsmanlike penalty was for the Watertown player calling the cheapshot individual a name so both occurred at the same time after the TD after the play offsetting penalties, but according to the referees the enforcement was on the extra point which for one team was half the distance from the 3 and the other 15 yard from the one and half(not much of an offset if you ask me). Earlier in the same possession #56 in a scrambling situation got his knee taken out by an opposing players lineman (Watertown's best defensive player and second best offensive lineman) occured earlier in the same possession, and #40 got hurt before week one and tried playing on a hairline fractured ankle that he thought was just a sprain for two weeks and was a 3 year starter at LB, punter, kicker, and H back. Those injuries, turnovers, and bad not fielding the kickoffs hurt Watertown's chances of being more competitive.
  5. The gym seats 1250 or thats how many little squares are on the bleachers, but you are welcome to come count.
  6. Watertown does like its talent (or as you put it talant) and it likes coaching, but after reading your post I think the term you were looking for is lacking.
  7. I couldn't find a score for this game that was supposed to be played on Tuesday. Does anyone know the result.
  8. 1A--In order to become playoff eligible the team has to finish 1st or 2nd in the final district standings. 2A--The team that finishes the highest in the final district standings becomes playoff eligible. If the two 2A schools finish 1st and 2nd in the final district standings both become playoff eligible District Overall District Opponents Team Class District W L Off Def W L Off Def Defeated To Play Douglass (2A) A 16 2 0 60 12 4 4 129 174 Westwood,MAHS Westwood (2A) A 16 1 1 64 14 1 7 96 185 MAHS MAHS (1A) A 16 0 2 0 98 1 4 44 214 Thanks for the post Cascade, cleared some things up for me. I have the same 20 autos but you fixed me on some of the wildcards. Jackson-if the two 2a district 16 teams come in 1st and second, they both get auto bids according to tssaa website. Happy birthday westwood....not fair...but thus is the tssaa There are still some big "ifs" out there: -I think wartburg vs. OC has statewide ramifications. Wartburg wins three from that district are in as well as 7 in the east which will bump someone out (probably in the west). -Dresden vs WHH determine their own destiny...I think WHH will finish at 7-3 and go in the middle west bumping riverside into the west and dresden out. More to come....
  9. Congrats to Dalton for putting team on shoulders and running the ball hard. Phillips has never had a 100 yards rushing mainly because the tigers have never had a backup quarterback. The Purple Tigers did everything they could to lose, dropped passes, 150 yards in penalties, fumbles, losing onside kicks, missing tackles, illegal procedure on the 1 foot line. The Blue Tigers played with a lot of heart and passion and gave themselves a chance to win capalizing on Purple Tigers mistakes. Hats off to the players and their coaches and win the next two games and you guys are number 1 on Single A side of the bracket.
  10. The cupcake schedule that everyone refers to Watertown having is basically the same schedule that everyone in the district has to play with the exception of two non-district games. The talent level between the top teams and the bottom teams is just larger this year than in years past. Watertown and Gordonsville game will come down to who wins turnover battle, field position, penalties, and big plays. It looks like both of these teams are fairly even from a talent standpoint and hopefully this will be one of the few games that's not a blow out.
  11. trousdale should beat everyone on their schedule and win state. They have more talent, more size, and more speed than any of their competition, but they always have more talent than anyone they've played for the past 15 years. It's like a SEC team playing a NAIA schedule.
