Doogie....the week zero game you talk about ..... were you there ? I watched both nights , Lewis County was very happy it didn't end on friday because they had all they could handle ... move up a class .... some of these big shots in the bigger schools should try and move down a class .. play on teams made up of freshman and sophmores .. I A schools don't have the numbers to draw depth like bigger schools but, I can tell you I have covered sports in this area for many years...Marco could move up a class and compete, plus ADD some class to many of the Big Hotshot schools in this state ....

Thanks to both teams for a great game....Marco..unreal....Defense ( not too bad for a team that has no defense ) everyone did a good job..David Brown was all over Spann. Spann is going to be a great QB....Morris is a great runner..was just a great effort by both teams..Another one point game, I'm too old for this. Sorry to bend your beak MsQuack...you gotta spend more to do football..it ain't easy...poor light..stopping action...Have much more invested in my camera and lens I use for football, and have a hard time...Canon Rebel is cheapest I know of...$600-$800 and that's no pro camera...lens is extra.....cost more than the camera..

The picture not being in the paper was my fault...not Justin lambs. Hello Mt Pleasant fans... I am the photographer who left in the 4th quarter because I was cold and forgot about the Herald Cup.. I have been taking pictures for Mt Pleasant schools for 6 years now ( every football game Home and Away ) Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Track...The sports pictures in your Annual were DONATED by me.. How many of you have traveled to every game these kids have played for six years in a row? Traveled to basketball games in Clifton,Perry County, Collinwood, Moore County, Huntland just to name a few..Man I have spent a bunch of money trying to cover the great kids in Mt Pleasant.. Until this year I did it without compensation from The Daily Herald ( I won't tell you how little they pay me for going to a game, lets call it gas money) I am sorry I have done such a bad job.. I truely thought I was doing the school and the athletes a wonderful service.. Well I had fun while it lasted...Good luck Tigers in the Playoffs.....It's has been an honor getting to know such a fine group of you men....Thanks

I guess I had better set the record straight...Marco has no idea the poster was made..I took the picture ( took the whole team ) and added a couple pics in PhotoShop...Marco would never blow his own horn....I hope this doesn't turn into an issue..I was making a fun poster for a good kid, and a great athlete, for having such a good year.....Thank you

Well said !!! I have been on the sideline at Mt Pleasant games for the last 5 seasons, and I have enjoyed getting to know these fine young men.. They had a great season ( I know It didn't end the way any of them wanted, but be proud of the way they handled themselves, they played hard, and with class !!! ) Best of luck to all the seniors.... Talking to Joe Byrns players and coaches after the game, you earned their total respect, they knew they were in a dog fight with a great team, and were very thankful to have survived. The game dictates the pictures.. I shoot for a newpaper...the newspaper wants an action shot.. I take a position ahead of the play..whatever ( whoever ..Marco this week ) comes my way I shoot.. You gotta realize more than 50% of the plays go to other side of the field..can't shoot those. If I was just shooting random pictures I could get a little of everybody, but I am there to get the action shots the paper needs. Sideline shots are much harder than people think.. ( 1 ) The helmets are on 99% of the time ( 2 ) I never shoot anyone that is not in a happy mode at the time ( when things are going bad, I don't intrude ) I have been having a hard enough time keeping ahead of the play, these guys are too fast for this guy !!! Am I going to Joe Byrn ?? I have really been wanting to check out TigerLive.com so I may set this one out Not .... Have missed 2 games in 5 years, one for a funeral in Alabama, the last one I had to pick family up at Nashville Airport....they came real close to getting a cab ride...

You provide a Wonderful Service also, with the finest radio crew in this neck of the woods !!! We all have a common goal, ( You too Trojan guy ) to support these fine young people...Can't think of anything I would rather be doing on a friday night !!!! Joe Byrn is a long drive..... The " Radio Crew " is going to be very popular this friday.... PS: Maybe Duane can get the Boosters to hire a big bus to take " The Tiger Nation " to the big game ???
