  1. I have a question. I have looked in the rule book and do not see a definitive answer. This is a simple problem but hit us twice in a game. 2nd down and 10. QB in the pocket flushed back a bit and is tackled by his facemask for a 10 yard loss. penalty flag insues... personal foul face mask 15 yd penalty from the end of the run. Its now 3rd and 5. we had a dead ball personal foul later in the same situation. 1st and 10 qb tackled for a 10 yard loss and a dead ball unsportsmanlike conduct for a late hit made it 2nd and 5. That seems a little strange. it should at least be from the previous spot or something, and not a loss of down for us. just couldn't get a definitive answer from the rule book
  2. How bout the Sevier Count Smoky Bears
  3. From what I have seen of the film it looked as though PF had 5 turnovers.... 4 fumbles and none seemed to be caused by rutledge. All of them were a PF player dropping the ball while running, snapping it over the QB's head (which i don't understand why the coach put in a new QB who looked small comparatively speaking), botched punt and a forward pass fumble (it was not a fumble on film. There was one interception but besides that Rutledge apparently did not force any turnovers. Rutledge did not run the ball up the middle at all and one series they threw 3 fades in a row trying to make something happen. It looked like PF gave the game to them I beleive it could have been a different game when it was just two touchdowns with 6 min left in the 3rd quarter. I just don't beleive the game you saw was not just emotions taking over because the film I saw it looked like a close one But I'm sure i would have seen the poundage hammer time put on them had i been there
  4. This is in response to your concern about who he picks and his reason.....WHY? Last tim I checked the game actually still had to be played. The simple act that someone picked a team to win or why he picked them meant ABSOLUTLY NOTHING.
  5. Splitback does look like a super genius when you see questions like this... If I was a coach at A>E why would i tell you how our practice went? Why don't you just give us preview of what the Forge is running, game plan and strategies. Your probably one of those guys who sit in the stands yelling out helpful game winning tips like "throw the ball", and "tackle him." What would your team do without you? No wonder it took you 6 years to graduate college Van.
  6. After seeing the video of that game. Pigeon Forge definetely gave the game to carter. I'm not saying Carter was incapable of winning, but play best out of three and PF wins. 6 turnovers and look at kickoff coverage for PF.... Carter had the ball at the 40 yardline everytime they took over. Big difference from the 20. The Game was Field position, Plain and simple. Carter was impressive and fast, but PF could have won. The quarterback was the most impressive one on the field. Very calm and cool pressure. I think PF's is a sophomore and it showed, very scared to throw the ball. Sems like a great athlete that will be good in a year or two. Watch out for PF Next year. Only losing 2 seniors i think on offense. Good Luck Carter, the region is yours to lose. You should easily win out there in that region
  7. I don't know much about these teams. I watched Pigeon Forge play in the jamboree against maryville and they were much more of a physical team than maryville I also got a tape of them against rutledge and they looked like a middle school team Those were not the same teams, not even close. GP is a rivailry game and you never know about rivals, not always the better team winning. But they could come out flat. If the team that played maryville shows up then they have a chance against the Powerhouse of east knoxville, Carter. I personally think Carter is overrated, but PF stinks at times.
  8. These parents do get out of control, and in certain areas of the state it affects the kids a lot. THIS darn HIPPIE GENERATION RAISES THEIR KIDS TO BE BABIES. Kids are no longer tough anymore. You see it all the time on TV and other stuff, my life just stinks because i was raped, or abused, or daddy didn't love me. I am not saying that is not big time stuff,but... back in the day people had to just get over it and lead normal lives. Now people get stuck in the past and won't move on with their lives, and expect pity and handouts for what happened to them. People raise their kids with this mentality and they cannot take a but chewing like they could just a few years ago. If your kid is screwing around and doing drugs, they should not be on the team. That is a disease that will spread to other teammates and makes it very hard to reach some kids. Coaches now have a hard ob of often being the only father these kids have, and mother. They will stay at theirhouse when their moms in rehab or dad is in jail, and they are not respected for the love they have for the kids. I know that this is a little off topic but coaching is different nowadays and it can be frustrating to deal with parents that are like this.
