Congratulations to UC on beating a very good JCS team! No one believed in yall and yall totally dominated, winning it 33-21 (was 33-14 until about 6 secs left, when JCS threw a desperate TD pass). I don't think UC will still be recognized and respected for their win tonight. I'm sure everyone will go for Jo Byrns, which I know nothing about except their record. But that's ok, UC hasn't been favored too much and they seem to thrive on it. It'll be interesting to see how this topic goes.

Kinda surprises me that on the poll, it's 89% so far for JCS....I think it will be a little more even than that! Good luck to both teams. I think that it'll come down to the wire and a defensive stop or key turnover is the deciding factor of the game.

I'm hoping to see Martin make it to the state championship game with all their three year starters... Martin in a very good, very close game.

Lake County runs the same type of offense OC runs. UC shut them down extremely well. Good luck to the midline with OC's undersized line going agaisnst UC's rather large and very good D-line.

it was against martin westview and milan, two top 5 2A schools in the state.

i agree with camden...they've been roughed up. union city in 1A, now that their toughest opponents are gone, watch out!

the region with martin, milan, and huntington is too good to be ignored. i think martin will make it if markei guy stays healty....if he doesn't then milan or huntington will be there. other schools....alcoa is loaded. they will be there.

apparently people don't know the tradition in union city.... they have a very prestigous history of winning games (except for the last two years) and have always had a very good and large band, which has always traveled with them to the games. it's not UC's fault they are in 1A, but b/c they are in 1A, they should be EXPECTED to dominate, especially with the senior class and talent they have. gleason has known that UC was coming to their house since they were put into their region, so just face it. if you ask me, gleason has been highly disrespectful to union city. they told them that they would charge the band for admission, but TSSAA rules say that can't happen. they keep bashing UC for being in 1A, but UC can't do anything about it. don't expect much mercy.

Gleason is gonna be shaken and totally appalled after friday night. Not only is union city gonna come there and totally stomp on the bulldogs, but the band is coming as well. Ole' farmer joe is going to have a culture shock from that...
