  1. You need to sell drugs not take them
  2. This is what makes Golden such a Great kid. Yeah, he's a one of a kind athlete, but he has such great character and is a pleasure to be around. He will go very far in life
  3. Not to mention he will be playing both football and baseball at ND. Not very easy to play two sports at the college level
  4. Yesterday morning Golden Tate from Pope John Paul II HS committed to Notre Dame. Coach Weis and the defensive coordinator were present when Golden made his announcement in front of the student body at JPII. It was pretty cool. One of the verses in the Notre Dame fight song is Golden Is Thy Fame Congrats to Golden 2009 Heisman Trophy winner???
  5. No NCAA violations were committed during this visit today. I really believe the ND coaches know what they can and can't do. . Golden is a great kid who has an amazing opportunity in front of him.
  6. You were half right. Golden committed to Notre Dame today and the Head Coach of ND, Weis was there, as well as the Defensive Coordinator
  7. I will have to agree with you on that. But I must say when JPII and Father Ryan play those have to be the best student sections in the State. I wish it was like that for every game!!
  8. Several media who voted on this award have seen every great player in the State and they voted Golden The Best
  9. Watch a highlight film on him and you will change your opinion. He is a freak. He can play tailback, receiver, even lined up at QB some, returned punts, returned KO, played DB, and he punted. He is a Reggie Bush type player. There are great RB, Great Receivers, but not everyone in the State can play as many positions as Tate and be as successful as he was at it
  10. Tate won the 26th Annual Charles Greenhill award given to the BEST player in the entire State in ALL classifications. He also won the Middle Tennessee Player of the year in all Classifications. Can Coleman play RB? could he play Receiver? or Punt returner? or kickoff returner? or Defensive back? or punt?-- Coleman is a GREAT Quarterback, but Tate can do so many things. That's what makes him so deserving of these two awards as being the BEST in the State Yes. He would have 5A players around him.
  11. Look at his career stats 89 TD's 8,000 total career yards.
  12. Congrats to Golden Tate from Pope John Paul II HS for winning DII Mr. Football for the second year in a row. Tate also won Middle Tennessee Player of the year AND the 26th Annual Charles Greenhill award for the BEST player in the State in ALL classifications.
  13. Congratulations to Golden Tate from Pope John Paul II HS for repeating Mr. Football in DII. Tate also received the Middle Tennessee Best Player award AND The 26th Annual Charles Greenhill Award given to the BEST player in the state in ALL Classifications.
  14. Congrats to Tate. He gets offered to play in this game, which is Unapproved Website new All American Bowl, And he got a scholarship offer from Notre Dame this week!! Not bad for a High School Senior
  15. Thanks for putting that link up to prove my point Thanks
  16. I saw on Notre Dame's web site that they have offered Golden...
  17. Congratulations Golden. That just showed he went to JPII for Academics not Athletics
  18. Great game by Golden on Friday. Had over 350 total yards and scored 5 TDs and that was probably the most heart of ANY football player I have ever seen during a game!!!
  19. Easy Knighttime, I know for a fact that Coach Cook has NEVER told a kid that drinking too much water in the heat of two-a-days makes you weak!! So before you post something make sure you get your facts straight.
  20. It's the NOv. 6th issue he is on page 27 St. Louis Cardinals on the cover
  21. Congrats to Jay Wilson and Golden Tate both from Pope John Paul II High School!!!
  22. Congratulations to Golden Tate from Pope John Paul II for being in the Nov. 6th issue of Sports Illustrated "Faces in The Crowd". It says Tate has 84 TD and over 7500 Yards in his HS career.
