  1. OldEagle, I know one coach's mom that would agree with that! No, seriously I wouldn't mind being an Eagle again. I don't know if my fav Coach can break away from the orange and black. You're right to think I love him the most, but you and wasplayer are right up there at the top.
  2. Wow! What a win for PF 44-7, with a tremendous aerial attack. Maybe Pigeon Forge fans will wake up now!!!!! Way to go TIGERS!
  3. I'm going with Cosby over Grace. If Coach Shelton and Coach Hall can keep those boys motivated, who knows what's next for the Eagles. Go Cosby!!! Cosby 26 Grace 6
  4. so, what you're saying is ... you don't know.
  5. Way to go Eagles. I know it was a tough one, but it was still a win. Step it up a little for next week, and show everyone how to go strong into the playoffs. Great job Coach Shelton and Coach Hall and to the entire coaching staff. Congrats Cosby Eagles you boys are doing great!!!!
  6. Maybe I should have worded it different, but I meant a win in both of their last two.
  7. Pigeon Forge needs a win in their last two in order to have playoff hopes. Can they start tonight with Gibbs?
  8. I'm going with the Eagles as well. Even coming off a loss and an off week, I know that they'll be ready! GO COSBY!!!!! Cosby 28 Kings 7
  9. Who will we see in postseason play out of this group?
  10. 100% accepted. We all just have a genuine love for football, and are very passionate about our teams. I agree "wasplayer", he's top notch.
  11. I agree with you completely. Your statement brings up another point. Maryville has a spectacular program, but besides being blessed with talent, they have SUPPORT. That town really knows what football is. Drive through there on a Fall Friday night. Everyone in Maryville is at the game. I bet ole George doesn't have parent's in his face, or in the principles office everyday. Those boys and their parents consider it a privelage to be on the team. That is what football is. A privelage, a great one at that. These coaches do this because they love it, not for the "great pay" (in some cases, NO pay!) If the community loved it half as much, imagine what kind of football tradition could be created in P.F. Let's go parents, fans, students, kick it up a notch, make Tiger country a football country.
  12. I'm pretty sure you misread my post. I didn't say anything about her only caring for her son, maybe you jumbled a couple of posters together. Re-read my posts. I don't think of the term MOMMA as being rude. I am a MOMMA. How is that rude! My child doesn't call me mother or mom. They call me MOMMA, which is a name I'm proud to have! I wasn't offering an apology, I didn't say anything in mean spirits to apologize for. Believe me or not, but you really shouldn't accuse me of posting things I didn't.
  13. Calm down momma, I know what you meant. Just makin a lil J-O-K-E. See what I mean about football being emotional. You get pretty worked up yourself. Give Cosby's announcer a little slack. ( Honestly, I don't think the guy even realizes he offended anyone.) I would never want to see a kid get hurt because of a cheap shot or any other reason, I just found some humor in a FOOTBALL players momma warning against cheap shots. You're a great mom I'm glad you support your kid and his team. just admit sometimes emotions get the best of us.
  14. Does anyone in Pigeon Forge have an opinion on the topic?????
  15. You don't sound very proud to be in Tennessee. If Big Orange Country is too redneck for you, go to India where the old, the young, the male, and the female alike use smokeless tobacco, because I'm certain no other state in the U.S. uses tobacco, yup, just us inbreed Tennessee hillbillies. It is an issue just like many other topics on here, no one has to read or post to any topic they are not interested in. I myself hate tobacco, I wish it was never discovered, but as far as what kind of coach it makes someone, it makes no nevermind. (dijjaa like at un.... hater.) I'm fairly positive tobacco use among h.s. football coaches is not exclusive to Tennessee.
  16. I say the Eagles by 14. You're right the announcer is not a bad guy. Just gets a little too emotional, but from what I can tell football is full of emotion. Sportiemom, I bet your son really appreciates you trying to protect him on the field. They're playin football, not barbie dolls, there is a good chance he'll take a hit.
  17. I couldn't agree more. Cosby's unis are scary intimadating. When Pigeon Forge wears their orange pants and white jerseys they look sharp. Worst: not even because they are a huge rival of the Tigers, G-P. Call it athletic gold if you want to, still looks yellow to me!
  18. This is a tough one. While I agree some coach's nerves might not make it through the first half w/o tobacco, I'd hate to learn of a kid years later w/ mouth cancer because he started dipping like his coach. Chewing tobacco is not the worst thing a coach could do, and if the coach is a good example otherwise I'd say consider yourself lucky. I personally do not take offense to others dipping, as mentioned earlier it's much better than secondhand smoke, but I don't really think there is a clear cut way to say it's okay. Not even because tobacco is dangerous but more so because that is a rule, and how do you say one TSSAA rule ( even though you don't agree with it or see the harm in breaking it ) is not as important as any other. With that being said, I know a few really excellant coaches and role models, who happen to have a skoal ring.
  19. ATTITUDES. Not even saying the kids, they are (for the most part) genuinely great guys. Parents and fans attitudes. There have been a couple of injuries, but that is not the core problem. Coaches have moved some kids around, which might be questionable to some who don't know anything about football, but the outcome of the personnel switch has proved itself. (Not always with a win, but by correcting what it was meant to.) PF is not the football town it needs to be for the program to be successful. I just wish this football program ( coaches and players alike ) had the full support of the community.
  20. The Tigers are better than their record suggests. Maybe there is some talent there that is not being tapped into. Defensively the Tigers have done very well. Offinsively there hasn't been much consistency. The offense has played extremely well at times, but then there are nights when they fall apart. I know that PF fans have a particularly hard time not blaming the coaches for everything that goes wrong. Some of them are teaching their kids to question the ability of their coaches. I wish they could see how devastating this is to a program. I've sat among these fans and I know just exactly how much they don't know about the game. I would love to teach a class on how to cheer for and support your team. The Tigers are a great group of boys with a lot of talent, but some of the negative influence by parents and other fans is killing them.
  21. I believe the Tigers can pull it out. Maybe with a few offensive adjustments, Pigeon Forge should take this one. GO TIGERS!!!
  22. Great job Eagles. I've never seen so many congrats on a loss!!! All of them well deserved, Hampton is a great team. I'm proud to see the Eagles have realized their potential. Keep up the good work coaches and players . #1 Hampton, congratulations on the win, and many thanks for the respect.
