  1. I was also there. If you are going to use the excuse that Carter didn't play their best, well that can be said for PF too. If throwing 4 pics, one of which was taken back to the house, isn't considered having a bad game, I don't know what is. PF actually showed up for one quarter. Imagine what song the hornets would be singing if the Tigers had played the whole game like they did the third quarter. No, PF didn't have the talent that Carter had, but they could've beaten them last year. How big of a gap is that? It must be nice to consider yourself a powerhouse in 3A after not being able to do squat in 4A.
  2. I can't believe the all mighty King is using injuries as an excuse. What's next King, you gonna blame the stripes? The best team in the state in 1A won the title. Now as far as D's to look out for Cosby is looking tough. With new help to the DC they are going to surprise a lot of people. They have one of the best corners in the state! He's quick as a hiccup and would eat nails if a coach told him to. They've got a lot of guys workin hard. Can't wait to see the payoff! Daggum, is it fall yet?
  3. Sportiemom, It's great to see you still goin at it with the not so great and mighty king. There's nothing I'd love to see more than Cosby steamroll the Landers, but I tell you what if the Rangers want to join in the fun I'm all for that! Good Luck this season. If you share the same dislike as we all do for the king, you'll consider a victory over c-land a successful season in its self.
  4. I can respect your opinion, but wouldn't you consider only missing round 2 of postseason play by 1 point, (1, a missed PAT) contending. You don't have to consider the Eagles as contenders if you don't want to. Honestly, I hope there are tons of people, coaches, and players who don't have the blue and black circled on their schedule. The more teams that overlook us, the more teams we rolllll over!!!
  5. Does anyone else see this? I hope I'ts just coincidence that I have seen so many incidents. Someone please tell me that it's just me. I would hate to think that girls everywhere show such a lack of respect for their coaches, teammates, and school. I have a unique view into this. I am not only a coach, (not of basketball) but I am married to a coach, (not of basketball either) and I am also a parent so I've got that angle too. The girls I've seen have zero respect for anyone, and their parents aren't doing anything to help. Even if you don't have a response to this, please pay attention. As a coach, respect your girls, and DEMAND respect back. As a parent, set an example by respecting your child's coach yourself, respect that your child has chosen to be an athlete, and DEMAND the respect of your child. Too often a child sees the lack of respect parents have for coaches and it translates into the kid not respecting the coach either. If they can't respect the coach, they can't respect officials, teammates, or the game all together.
  6. It's great to see so many people so interested in Cosby football. Orangeblood, glad you finally got on board with the coacht era. I know the young coaching staff at Cosby will be bustin their humps to build up this program. I'm just hoping for the same hard work and dedication from the fans and community to help ensure this programs success! I would love to see Cosby start building some traditions in football. Can't tell you how great it is to be a part of Eagle football!
  7. I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were trying to state "your" opinion. You've been saying you are just stating what you've heard. I'm fairly certain I didn't say I know everything about the program or any problems it has had, may have, or will have in the future, BUT I can guarantee you I know more about the assistant coach you were referring to than you, or anyone else at the school, maybe anyone else in the county. If you'll read my post more carefully you'll see that my thoughts and opinions were not negative about anything or anyone involved in the program. Nothing in my post eluded to the fact that no one else could have an opinion. Did I offend you by knowing more than you? I'm sorry. Am I sorry for being right about something that you have no clue about? Heck no! The only way you could know more about what goes on in practice on the field and in the coach's office is if you are a coach there yourself. Are you? You know it's funny that you mentioned advising the president. I do own a certificate of appreciation for help with the White House Communications agency. They thought I knew a lot too! How observant of you to see that potential in me. You must be a genius! (The part about you being a genius was a little sarcasm for ya, you seem to enjoy the use of it.)
  8. I wish all the good fotune in the world to PF football. They have a great DC and if I'm not mistaken have named a certain assistant the new OC, and if that is true they're headed for good things. As for but a vapor's comments you've listened way too much to either people who are not involved in the program at all, or maybe parents of kids who don't exactly have the talent the parent thinks they have. No, I don't agree with all of scballfan's comments either, but I'm sure of the fact that the two coaches that are no longer with PF have zero negativity towards players, or remaining coaches. You don't know any of the motives or reasoning for the assistant that left. I'm assuming you weren't in the locker room when he told everyone goodbye, or you wouldn't have any questions as to his feelings for those kids and coaches that have been a huge part of his life for several years. Butavapor aren't you the one who mentioned "volunteer"? Not many people would give up that many hours out of their life and away from their family for free, unless they have a tremendous love for the program and the kids in it. When you don't have all the info needed to make an intelligent observation, the best thing to do is not make one. I can't really tell if you are for the tigers or not. I just find it hard to believe anyone who does care about that program would be glad that a young, volunteer assistant who has a bright coaching future, found "employment" with another program. Again Go Tigers!!! I wish the orange and black a great season in "06". Good luck to the new OC, he's definitely a wise choice for the job.
  9. I've got great confidence that the Eagles will have another good year. Last year's success will encourage a lot of athletes who might not have played to get involved. Cosby's football program is just going to get better and better. They have some young coaches that know their stuff, and some more experienced ones to learn even more from. GO EAGLES. Work hard this off season! Come back in "06" with a purpose.
  10. Good luck Hampton! Who'd ever thought it. Weak ole region 1 team still going strong this late in november! Go get em dawgs!
  11. Is it just a question? Or are you trying to get some gossip started? Just a question also, not an accusation.
  12. Hoping SC will come out on top, but I think OR might be too much for them. Either way I'm excited about OR coming onto the field, now that's somethin right there. You aren't a true football fan if that don't get you geeked up.
  13. Does it bother people that much that Cosby can hang with em? Why does everyone have to act like they played their worst game of the season if Cosby gets anywhere near them? The Eagles were for real this season, and you would have thought they had proven that to all the doubters by now. Guess it just devastates people to realize that Cosby can compete in something besides basketball.
  14. Could not agree more! That staff at Cosby has really made a difference in their program. Keep up the good work Shelton.
