  1. I agree. All you see on here is lexington and they are gone. Hardly nobody picked Pigeon Forge and they are in a great position to make it to the championship game! They made it to the championship game last year also. I think they like the underdog role. Nobody knows or says much about them. Are they the biggest surprise of the tourney?
  2. I got you guessing. It doesn't matter who I am. Plenty of people, whether coach or not, could see that leadership did not have a clue! That was being talked about by the masses before the season even started last year. Believe me. You, Bigbear and a very FEW others are in the HUGE minority! The masses could clearly see a mistake had been made with the leadership a year after the hire was made! The former HC just could not figure it out. He ticked off more than just these "Block-Chopping" parents that you "Blinded" ones keep talking about. Go talk to teachers, Decision-Makers, parents of future PFHS football players, the community at large that want to support PFHS football. He did not know how to communicate with ALL his players or the community at-large that wants to support the football team. The trip to Jupiter is over boys. You space travellers need to come back to Earth!
  3. Why don't you just ask ol' Ray the reasons why he thought the former HC was a good coach. "SEE" if you could get Ray to give me some detail. List some of the reasons. I still believe that forest is just in your imagination! You are still having a little bit of vision trouble really seeing it!
  4. PF has a lot of new kids out for football that wanted to play last year but........ and a lot of former players (senoirs) that are back and still hungry to win. The former players have had to deal with a lot of negative stuff the past couple of years along with very poor leadership. It is time to bid the former HC and the past farwell and move on! I have heard GREAT things about this new HC! PF has a lot of kids that know what it takes and know how to be WINNERS!
  5. Hey BigBear! Have you ever thought that you really could see the forest, but you have to look past the trees! In other words, you should look past what you hear, and you should have went and objectively watched a game last season, or even the season before! For the past two or three years at a PFHS football game you see........time clock mis-management over and over and over, can't get plays in on time when on offense over and over and over, players out of position on offense and finally this got figured out in the EIGHTH game of the season last year, running an offense without the proper personnel to run it, turnovers by the same players over and over and over and no discipline for the turnovers because the players where the HC's Favorites, slowly destorying the feeder program for the high school team because of being a bad communicator with the parents of the future high school players, if you need more let me know! I don't believe that the ones that make the decisions about who stays and who goes as coaches at PFHS have any kids on the team! Sounds like to me that the former HC wrote his own ticket out of town! The forest is really there, but you have to OBJECTIVELY look for it!
  6. I know that last year wasn't very pretty for 1-3A when playoff time came around. All four 1-3A teams losing in the first round. Does anybody think that it will be any different next season? Does Seymour, Carter or PF have a chance once the playoffs begin?
  7. Does anyone know the last time 1-3A teams competed with 2-3A teams in the playoffs? Has it ever happened? In recent history, how many 1-3A teams have ever won a playoff game since the two regions began playing each other?
  8. What's LA got coming back next year? I watched them in the championship game. They were very impressive to me because of where they had to come from to win it all.
  9. I agree for the most part, Seymour did lose a big part of their offense and defense in Serafine, but I bet that they will have plenty of talent back next season. Carter lost alot of skill people, but I would still put them around the top. Pigeon Forge has a bunch of senoirs for next year, maybe twenty or so. Next year could be their year if the transition to the new coach goes well. Next would be Gibbs, then Rutledge, Claiborne, & Union. By the way, I've a question for you. If #19 would have started in place of Peyton, would the Colts still be playing?
  10. Is that right about Seymour? I know that they are over the 3A student limit now, but I thought that they would be going 4A after next season. When is the next time for schools to move up or down? As far as 2-3A goes it would be nice for the bottom 4 to get a break real soon by moving the top 4 around!
  11. Any thoughts or predictions for Region 1-3A for next season. Who will be the contenders for the title?
  12. What are you talking about if they had shown up for Pigeon Forge.....PF showed up for one quarter (the 3rd quarter) and still beat claiborne. It PF had shown up for 4 qtrs it would have been ugly for CC.
  13. Your prediction is amusing, so I will play along with a prediction also....your boys go home on friday night by the count of Greenbrier 35 your dream team 13.
  14. You have some good points. The PF players seemed ready to play at the start of the game on Defense and Offense. The defense stopped UC on their first drive and the offense drove down the field fairly well, until that botched 3rd and goal on the two yard line. From there.................. down hill. Now where I disagree is that the PF players don't have the TOTAL responsibility regarding mental preparation, and offensive play calling. That responsibilty lies elsewhere. Eight interceptions in the last two games speaks volumes. PF can't complete the offensive pass plays that are being called. Try something else. For the most part PF was running the ball well. Why try the passes that they are trying when you clearly cannot complete them! There has been a consistency all year long with the offense.....There is no consistency! 31 Turnovers in the last five games. It is past time to try something else on offense, or go in another offensive direction. Don't you think! The PF football players deserve better than they are getting! All the responsibility DOES NOT lie on the shoulders of the PF players!
  15. Your last statement is so true. If the PF offense would have shown up for the first half of the Meigs Co and Carter games, I believe that they would be 5-0 right now! Also, If they had shown up for the first half of the Rutledge game the final score would have probably been 28-7, or more!
  16. If your prediction is to be a reality, PF will have to play their best game of the season. None of this fumble right, fumble left, interception across the middle, interception down the field STUFF. PF has a long way to gone on offensive consistency. The Carter game proved that!
  17. Seymour does not have the speedy and athletic players this year that has helped their program so much in past seasons. Carter on the other hand has both..... Speedy and Athletic players, and big play capability. If Carter plays like they are capable, it will be two to three touchdowns in their favor.
  18. On paper, Pigeon Forge should run away with this one, but it depends on who shows up for PF. I think that the PF defense will play their normal above average to good game. The PF offense, well if the turnovers start up again then...............it could be a close game. Pigeon Forge Offense and Defense shows up......PF 34 UC 6 Pigeon Forge Offense stays in PF, but Defense Shows......PF 20 UC 13
  19. It is about time that GP should get things going their way again. They have played some pretty good football teams to this point. I don't think that Greenback has played the same level of competition that GP has. If GP shakes the cobwebs off and moves on they should win BIG!!
  20. Sevier County will dominate Seymour if they so choose. The Bears have the advantage over the lowly eagles in every category. Sevier County has beaten some decent competition. Who has Seymour beaten that even counts? I have seen SCHS and Seymour play this year. The Bears are way ahead in this one. By the way, SCHS has an excellent head coach, too!
  21. Carter wins with quickness on Offense and Defense. Very athletic football team.
  22. Carter did play a good game, and Pigeon Forge played good on Defense, but not on Offense. Not many teams can give up that much field position (6 turnovers) and expect to win any game. What I am saying is that Pigeon Forge will never know how good they really are until they stop turning the ball over so much. PF has had approximately 24 turnovers in their last four games. They have not lost all of those, but how good would they be if one half or two thirds of those turnovers had never happened. The PF defense is playing good enough to win, but the PF offense............... Now about Carter. Carter is a good solid football team. Very Impressive. I was just making the point that PF would have HAD a better chance in that game if the turnovers were gone. Would PF had won without turnovers, who knows, but it would have been a much closer game between two of the best teams in the region. By the way, I have seen the top four or five teams in the region play. It is Carter's region to lose. They are one of the best, if not the best. Based upon the way the two teams played, Carter should have won.
  23. Turnovers once again negatively affected the final outcome of a Pigeon Forge Football game. Pigeon Forge played well enough to have a chance to win the game, but the turnover in the 4th quarter (interception for a Carter touchdown) killed their momentum. As a matter of fact, two of Carter's other scores were setup by PF turnovers. The defense, as always, played very well, but the offense has got to improve if this team is going to be legimate. Stop the turnovers and win games. It's simple!
