  1. No, you're a crybaby. It is the refs responsibility to know who is supposed to be on the line. If JC can pull one on them, then good for them. They should have known Bibb was gonna catch that one though. JC is obviously the better team and proved by not just beating PC, but beating them in their house, a very difficult task.
  2. The PC and JC games this year will be nothing like the Clay and PC games from last year. All Clay ever had to do to beat PC was come to the gym. Two of the games were close and that was because Clay allowed PC to hang around. If Pickett lets JC stay close this year, they will get beat. Overall, JC is the better team, and PC will be lucky to get any more than a split in the regular season and a trip to Chattanooga.
  3. LOL. Have you seen the strength of schedule? HS's schedule so far has 1 team (their 1 loss) with a winning record. The Celina Jr. High could be 4-1 against HS's schedule. HS has 1 player and everyone knows who he is. Hopefully next year he'll be at Clay Co. and he can find out what it's like to lead a winning team.
  4. Wow, you guys have lost it. HS is not gonna be in the top 4. They'll be lucky to be 6th. Pickett and JC are a tie for first. Clarkrange, Clay, and RBS will fill the 3-5 spots, probably in that order, Monterey is 6th, and HS is 7th.
  5. O yea, you've beat 4 teams that have lost 80% of their games thus far. Way to go.
  6. Ah, I've heard there might be some "land available" in the RBS area. Whatever the kids and their families decide to do, it's a win-win for everyone. Hopefully, the parents will let them play there last 2 or 3 games in peace.
  7. Haven't we heard this before...oh yea, last year. How'd that work out for ya?
  8. Uh...okay. Maybe back your opinion up. I agree that with Coach Edwards this team could make a run come tourney time. Pre-Christmas is gonna be rough but once they get used to what's goin on, they could sneak up on some people. I'll go ahead and tell ya, I'm dreaming of a region semi-finals match-up with Pickett Co. and though I think it could be a little bit of stretch, I don't think it's inconcievable. But that stuff is a long way off and this team has to worry about taking baby steps first. The talent is there, the experience isn't.
  9. Clay will be starting 3 or 4 sophomores and possibly a freshman.
  10. I can't pick 8 teams but I'll almost gaurantee Pickett Co. and Temple will be at state and Temple should win it all.
  11. So what's gonna happen this year in 7A? Here are my picks: 1. Pickett- They should be the strong front-runner with the addition of Coach Marty Maxfield to their staff and the return of Capps and Wright. 2. JC- From what I remember, they are returning most of their starters so they should be a strong team. 3. Clarkrange- Don't know much about this team but I know Snow is gonna dominate the boards. 4. Clay Co.- Lost everyone who got any significant playing time and they are small with a lowercase s. Also a very young team. Should be an interesting season. 5. RBS 6. Monterey 7. H.S.
  12. Throw Dawg_05 in the mix. I've been on here for a while and wouldn't mind seeing what some of the plus features are like.
  13. We never cut a player the whole time I played at Celina/Clay Co. and the most we ever had was 16 I believe. I would guess for the most part that the small single A teams don't have cuts. They hold try-outs, let the quiters quit, and start practice.
  14. The AA thing was okay but don't put AAA in there. RE and Hamilton had a chance to meet and RE didn't get the job done. You could seed however you wanted and AAA would have ended up the same. As for this great seeding thing, how do you propose we do this? Can't do it by record because that would just be stupid. Any other way is all opinion and then someone will get screwed because hardly anyone has seen everyone in the tourney play before it starts.
  15. This was brought up one of the hundred other times we discussed this and I really don't think money would be an issue. There are plenty on companys that would pay it I'm sure. TSSAA could probably even get a contract with one.
  16. Yes, we should all be good sports like you
  17. LOL. Maybe we should get a half a division . There are gonna be schools that are bigger than others in every division. Single A is the toughest because it ranges from the smallest schools to ones with 500 kids but it isn't unfair. Just how it goes. The UC kids and the Humbolt kids are just good. And I'm from Clay Co. and our enrollment is probably around 220.
  18. I just wanted to give a sendoff to the Clay Co. seniors. They've had a great season and capped it off with the schools first trip to the State Tourney in 20 years. They've also been a part of 3 district championships, a region championship, and 4 sub state games. Jon, Saylor, Dustin, Tyler, Casey, Jake, and Bobby, thanks for being great teammates and congrats on what you have accomplished this season. You played your hearts out til the end and I couldn't be any more proud of you guys. Hold your heads high. You did great.
  19. As a former player, if I could walk, I was playing. I tried to play on one leg for a year and looking back it probably wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done. However, if I had it to do over, there is no way I would sit on the sideline. Players want to compete and most will do whatever they have to do to get on the court, whether it is good for them or not.
  20. With that said, put a senior laden Clay Co. team near the top of the list with JC and RBS.
  21. I'm suprised it has stayed open this long. This is just a forum for people to take shots a JC and that is really silly.
  22. The only way the school has any athourity is if this was a field trip. If they are not on the school's time or the school's property then they cannot be punished by the school.
  23. JC blew this game at the free throw line. They had a chance to put it away in regulation and didn't get it done. Forrest walked 3 times in the overtime and none were called. 1 was questionable, the other 2 were obvious. It shouldn't have mattered however, JC should have put it away before that. Forrest took advantage of the oppertunities they got and that is why they won.
