  1. dna-wise, yes, I’ve sponsored 2. but, they’re still young. a paltry contribution compared to others in the community, especially from championship pedigree. the work I do helps the old and handicapped, of trousdale and surrounding counties, on a bit larger scale than just ramps. for the record: I’m told regularly, how much they are thankful for me. I’d encourage you to sponsor an angel tree recipient this year. everyone deserves a merry Christmas. school board meetings are open to the public. p.s. the interior of the practice facility looks exactly like Oregon’s, except ours is state of the art and in purple and gold.
  2. sounds like you’re already quite versed at keeping stuff, “off the books”. tell me more.
  3. best new troll i’ve seen on here in a looooong time. game recognizes game.
  4. you started out claiming victim status when you led your original opinion with, “they are dirty, we shouldn’t play them. when challenged you moved the goalposts of your opinion. and when that was challenged you move the goals post yet again. etc. finally it’s come to, “I’d just rather see someone else on the schedule. I don’t like going there because I think it’s backwoods” postman isn’t right a lot, but he is here. your argument here is emotionally based and it’s come off as being thin-skinned. football6 is right. time to move and to quit casting my pearls...
  5. in our last 4 games against Macon the record is split 2-2, same as watertown. so your continued undermining of said rivalry seems to be based on your emotions rather than tangible facts. macon is also always a booming gate, even in their worst years, they show up in mass. so again, not fact based. the presumption that smith would/will schedule is also a moot point. because they subscribe to the same “take my ball and go home” school of thought as you do. if we start dropping teams from our schedule based on ref performances, well, I’m not even going to take the time to explain the obvious outcome of that situation. though I probably should... as far as the rest goes: we won the game, we won the fight and instead of behaving like a victor, you’re acting like a victim. and that’s the part I can’t abide.
  6. football. is. ugly. the best games are down right nasty. rivalries last for and are based on generations, not a couple of years. players that cross lines, lines predetermined and agreed upon by all parties, are subject to ejection and suspension based on the refs discretion. same as every other rule in the book. if the refs don’t control the game that’s on them. to punish all based on the actions of few is draconian and closed-minded. better yet, you want to punish them for something that never even happened?! you want to punish these teams for something you think might could have happened maybe? yet again, this is an excessively physical game as well as emotional. those who have been in the heat of those moments understand that, the life time spectators can not. the same can be said for most all sports. coaches came out on the field last night because they understand that. and quite frankly, every single player behaved quite well after the game from what i witnessed. both teams left it all on the field. so let’s punish next years teams? ridiculous. almost 10 years worth of players from trousdale and smith county never competed against each other because of the actions of teams they were never apart of, all so that adults with no skin in the game could signal their virtue and moral superiority and pat themselves on the back. long standing rival college teams get into brawls every year and those series continue without blinking an eye, and rightfully so. then there’s every baseball and hockey team since the genesis of sport. maybe if all sports just took a couple of years off, all would be well. maybe next week, we could just get the other team to agree that we won’t tackle or hit each other so there’s absolutely no danger of things “becoming ugly”
  7. terrible attitude. macon isn’t a “dirty team” it’s called a “heated rivalry” it’s what separates football from every other sport and it’s why the girls and the soft boys don’t play. hoping they aren’t on the schedule next year is a night chicken attitude.
  8. great intensity. i love a chippy ballgame. tc punter had a great punt in the first quarter. had Jackie Dillehay written all over it.
  9. dream big! although blowouts can happen anywhere, to anyone and the possibility can never be totally dismissed, trying to insinuate any connection between the night chickens, playoffs and confidence, of any kind or amount, is a bridge way to far.
  10. man, it’s been a loooooong time since you last posted. i bet you’ve just been dying to grind this ax.
  11. emotions just got the best of you tonight didn’t they, lady.
  12. some folks twist with the wind more than others. sloppy ball game on both sides. team that made the least mistakes didn’t lose. both squads have a lot work to do.
  13. 5 turnovers is hard to overcome. congrats to watertown.
  14. if they have to pay, they must not be very good.
