Union City is bigger, stronger, and faster. The passing game could help Jo Byrns and their defense is not too shabby either. Also they are a gutsy little bunch. But UC has already seen good passing games MP would have matched up better w/ the physicality and athleticism of UC. Union City will be too much. UC 28 Jo Byrns 14 UC vs. Trousdale Co.

Wow, this game really surprised me. I thought Jo Byrns had the better team going in, but MP might have the better team. Outrushed Jo Byrns 337-157. I agree w/ you somewhat bottomline. MP was not as polished, but they definately had better athletes, particularly Daily. But that is part of being a team. The coaches and players all play a part in the outcome of the game. That is what makes football so special, so many crazy things can happen, like a bad snap. Credit Jo Byrns. They took the game. Union City is a better football team than either of these two. However, the best team does not always win.

I agree, tough D. MP O line better bring it for 4 Quarters or that JB Defense will embarrass them. I will be surprised if they do not have some trouble w/ that D. MP O vs. Jo Byrns D.

I haven't seen hampton play b/c I'm from middle, but they've been consistent. I picked you guys on the big ones. Help me out.

They are both good. Jo Byrns is really well coached. They are hardly ever out of position on defense. MP could definately beat them though. It depends on so many things. Should be interesting

Collinwood's best player was out for a good portion of the CA game, and he is tougher and faster than anybody on CA or Wayne Co. Also, Collinwood was up 28-0 on Wayne Co. in the first quater. Wayne came back slowly. The score doesn't always tell the story of the game. Having said that, I think Jo Byrns wants it more and they are more consistent. Also, MP fans will deny this, but the loss of Whitaker has had a huge impact on that defense. In the game I saw them, he was in the middle of everything. He is a punishing tackler sideline to sideline. Nobody can hit like him on MP or Jo Byrns. This is gonna hurt MP. With Whitaker playing, this would have been a tougher game to call, but w/o him. I give Jo Byrns the edge b/c they will score on that defense. One player can make a difference at any lvl, but esp 1A football. MP best chance is some good play calling to get those atheletes the ball in space. I will give MP this, they are more explosive than JB, but it will be hard to get loose this Friday. Lake Co. and Collinwood are the best #3 seeds in 1A. They could make some noise. McKenzie at #2 and Wayne Co at a #4 are also good possibilities
