The only thing that bothered me about the tournament was when the announcer would start talking when players where trying to shoot free throws. Especially when goodpaster was shooting to win the game. He just needs to shut up

Hampton won at unicoi during the 2001 and 2002 season. That's the only win I can remember.

Yes I believe that could have been true. Just like I said the one with the least mistakes will most likely be the winner and for cloudland they just had to many of them.

I have looked forward to this game all week. There aint nothing like a game between Hampton and Cloudland. Regardless of records its going to be a knock down drag out fight till the end. But after the game everyone is going to shake hands and have respect for one another. My pick is going to come down to who has the least mistakes. Hampton 21 Cloudland 20 Gonna go out on a limb and say cloudland misses a extra point or can't convert a 2 point conversion

King that was def a beginning of an era that a lot of us where getting kicked off of coach t. From 05 to 07 man we had coach t working over time to keep up with all the talk that was going on. Hahaha good times good times

We love our stadiums way more than any elizabethton fan will theres. Congradulations on raising the taxes to pay for our poor stadium. Just another way Elizabethan wants to keep up with science hill. Have you even watched either team play. They both have speed. Every time some one from elizabethton has something to say. They are always better than any county school around. Better speed better back better line better everything. This is why I can not stand people from elizabethton. heck all the county schools have there share of speed and over the years had really good speed. But I guess just because u are from elizabethton u are better. What I would give to see happy valley or Johnson county to beat Elizabethan. Then you would here all of them complaining abouta bad call or something. heck KING let's combine Hampton and cloudland and shut them up. Because then they couldn't keep from playing us. I know for a fact that both Hampton and Cloudland would love to play Elizabethton. But the fact of the matter is that if Hampton or Cloudland beat Elizabethton it would prob cost someone there job. Elizabethton has always thought they where better than any other county school. Im not saying that we would beat them all the time. But yes we would def beat them some of the time and Elizabethton just couldnt ecept that. I would say around the bird error and around the townsend and lunsford error they would have def beat Elizabethton. But rest assured neither of them are afraid of playing them. Just that the Elizabethton faithful will never let this happen.

But yet you all got in trouble a few years back for houseing one of your top players and denied it. Tell me this what public school has won 3 state championships in a single year. Besides a private school. GRACE CHRISTIAN. and besides yeah you did play CAK and they are private to with smaller numbers that you all and CAK handed you all your only loss. So go to D2 or move up classifications and see if you can have a winning record and win state championships. You want that is why all privates dont want to do this.

Yeah you are smaller. But when u have the pick of the litter of course ur going to still win. heck if u all just had eleven players they would be all D1 players and win a state championship

My point exactly. With that enrollment they should def be playing 3a ball and be playing the likes of ALCOA and CAK. Then see how they fair. But the fact is your students pay tuition and that is all there is to say. So i think the only choice you all should have is move up classifications or go Division 2. Plus they have already taken enrollment and it will stand for 4 years and you cant turn in an enrollment after this class graduates.

Yes i agree with u on that one. Im sure they have recruited the best money can buy. You all should be playing in division 2 or def the multiplier and be playing in the 4a or 5a classification.

Yes your right, it was a one and one. Yes I do agree with you it doesnt make you fast just because your in the tournament. What I was saying is, its a big floor with alot of room to run and plenty of room to move the ball. If a team is not in shape for a big floor they will be winded by the second quarter. Which most likely want happen to most teams.

When you get this to this level. Everyone has speed, no team stands out in speed. Plus anyone down at the big dance can win it. The biggest key to playing at the state tournament is playing great defense, without it you will get blown out of the gym in a hurry. Two you have to be able to make shots and make them count. Three the most important things is foul shots. Ive seen to many ball games lost because of this. Take for instance, yesterday North greene was up two with like 10 seconds to go and got fouled and missed both foul shots. Not taking anything away from them but that would have made a 4pt game and it would have been over. So everyone talking about speed, you will see what im talking about when you watch the games down there. Big floor with alot of ball movement.

The answer is yes, that cloudland can host a sub state game. The probation ended last year, if they where still on probation they wouldnt have got to play at home last saturday night. I hope to see the two teams meet again. Would be a great round 4. But both have to win tonight to do so. Which I would love to see both make it to state. But only time will tell.
