  1. No doubt Milan was the better team, but I'm not so positive about the "clean" game. #12 is Cole McAdams and I agree that he is a true athlete and wonderful young man. Unfortunately, he is nursing possible broken ribs and a deflated lung because he got "speared" by a Milan player at the end of the game. He also took a couple late hard hits while punting and while he was out of bounds. I know football is a hard-hitting game, but it's not cool when internal organs are damaged. In regard to Chris Donald, he isn't playing well due to a hamstring injury that won't heal as long as he continues to play. He was out for 2 games, but that wasn't near enough. Due to the injury, he cannot plant his feet well enough to gather speed. But we appreciate his persistance despite the pain. Thanks for the concern. I've always appreciated and enjoyed your quotes.
  2. Bad form, Titan! It's very easy to trash a 17 year old, but unless you walk a day in his shoes, you don't know what he can or cannot do. I also know this young man personally and YOU have NO IDEA about how much your comments can hurt this young man if he reads them. He is a very intelligent and well-mannered teen who sets a wonderful example for others. I'm not sure which team you support, I can assure you than you have just caused more damage than good. Now, I assure you that Matt is doing his very best and if there were a hole, he would be hitting it. as evidenced by the McKenzie runs. Let's all remember who we're talking about-kids playing a football game.
  3. You're missing the point. USJ didn't commit the wrong, Milan did. They are the ones that allowed a player on the team who was ineligible. I realize this is common practice among many teams everywhere, but the fact remains that it is illegal and if you choose to "coach" your team in this manner, you take a chance of being penalized.
  4. It has been confirmed that Logan Sellers' foot/ankle isn't broken. We'll just have to see what it's going to take to get him back on the field... Hope he can return soon...He's got a lot of heart and plays 100% all the time.
  5. I agree. Excellent tackles from Trenton. It looked like Huntingdon was going to make some noise and then just couldn't get it together in the end. Maybe next week............
  6. Granted the 'Stangs have had some bad injuries this season, but I do not feel that is all that is what's keeping them from the win. We still have a lot of talent on the field. I'm not sure what the problem is, but from my seat Friday night, it looked like one of the teams wanted to win more than the other and it wasn't Huntingdon. Boo Weathers played with an injury all last season and you didn't see him whining. Believe me, no one supports the Huntingdon Mustangs more than I do, but I am very disappointed with the performance of most of our starters, excluding Cole McAdams, Drake Whitworth, Logan Sellers and Matt Weathers. Also, one of the most consistent player, DeAngelo Sherrill, lost his step-father and his mother was injured in a car accident coming to the game Friday night. Despite this tragedy, he played with more heart than most of his teammates. If Huntingdon comes to play, I expect to win. If the same team shows up that was present at Paul Ward Stadium the last 2 1/2 quarters, Trenton will take home the victory.
  7. Thank you so much! Your support and compassion is a blessing. Please remember us 04/13/06 as we lay our valiant soldier to rest. Thank you. This is very much appreciated.
  8. Thanks to all of you for all your kind comments and prayers. Please remember us here in Huntingdon as we lay this wonderful young man and outstanding athlete to rest tomorrow. Keep not only the family and Brandon's Mustang family in your thoughts and prayers, but our student population as well. All are hurting and painfully mourning the loss of one of our best. Again, thank you so much for your compassion and much needed prayers.
  9. I've seen on another thread that not only is Brandon Warren out for the season, but another key player is out due to injury. According to some of the Middle TN folks, winning against Tyner will not be as easily achieved asiit was before these unfortunate events.
  10. Thanks, FAN! We appreciate all the encouragement! Our young men will do what they've done all year........their BEST!!! GO 'STANGS!!
  11. Our young men will do their best, as they always do. Thanks for the vote of confidence. GO 'STANGS!!!
  12. Fan2Fan, take a chill pill on the Brandon Warren issue! What has he ever done to you personally that is deserving of all this negativity?
  13. Hey, Mustanmomma! You gonna let dude take our picture this week? I'll try not to break his camera! LOL GO 'STANGS!!!
  14. You're the best! Love the last one....you can run but you cannot hide from "The Beast"! Thanks, again. Tell your lovely bride and parents-in-laws that I said "Hi"!
