That would be hilarious. I played for Notre Dame last year, yes I know what you are all talking about. Our announcer is also the drama teacher at the school, so that can explain for some of the dramatization. As for ND being away, I doubt it will effect their performance. And as for playing the starters too long, first of all, when ND has been up big at half the policy of Coach Wiggins is to let the starters stay in on the first series on offense and defense. Second, did any one see the ND vs. Tellico game? ND could have easily scored over a hundred points. The starters were taken out after the first full series and ND played five different quarterbacks. Even a freshmen quarterback got a chance to play! How many fifth-string quarterbacks have had the chance to play in a varsity games on other area teams, probably not many. Thirdly, Devin Carthorne had limited carries and still had a great game. I am not sure of the exact stats because I was at the game, but he seemed to run with ease. As for not having a team next year, look at the region they are in. No one has a playoff caliber team except for ND and Polk Co. For my prediction, I have not heard anything about Grundy Co this year, so ND wins 36-0. And the starters will be taken out before the fourth quarter. Oh yeah, someone said David Lipscomb is not in our region. That is correct, but what the writer meant was eventually ND might play David Lipscomb in the playoffs, who are in the same class. So do not call anyone a moron if you are not sure you know exactly what the writer is talking about. Go Irish and goodluck to any area team who makes it to the playoffs.
