Agree with you. That single A district next year will be better than the double A UC played in. Dyersburg will be the best team in that Double A district next year. The other teams will be down. Dyersburg will run away with that one.

Good post by Corso. UC was not going to survive through Fayette Ware, Brownsville, and then Mitchell or Raleigh Egypt. Too much athletic ability and size by those teams. Which is the reason they lost to Ripley who was physically much bigger and stronger and used that to their advantage. Plus they were able to neutralize UC quickness. UC will face the same problem next year when facing big strong physical play. No doubt Mitchell-Haywood two of the top four teams in the state. Throw in Raleigh Egypt and Bolivar and the west was loaded.

OCCHS needs to get over it - obviously Ripley wasnt as bad as he made them out to be.

Not the same team UC played the first time. Look and see how many different players played in this game who did not play in the first. I agree they have only won 8 games - how many since all their players have been back?

First off this is not junior high - they won in junior high because they were so much more gifted athletically - not because of their skill level. Name one current player on the Peabody roster who can score outside of 10 feet? Bottom line is they just arent very good - they are athletic but basketball is a game of skill and they are just not very skilled and the result is a very average team.

Besides Doaks - this team is average at best. Ferguson had more talent than Sisco has had in his tenure but was unable to win one as well.

Portland may win. However, if you think Mike Roller will be out coached you dont know much about the game or Mike Roller. I am the guy from Portland does a good job. But if it is close and comes down to coaching the edge goes to Lipscomb.

Union City lost to Louisville Moore 49-37 on Dec. 21. This would give them the correct overall record of 15-11.

Haywood shoots three very well. They were very athletic and defense was good. Plus, Haywood is a very difficult place to play.

Fisk and Jones played well for Dyer County. Rest of team was off. Union City played better than expected.

Is Bo Bates still playing for Waverly?

CoachT: The Westview and Dyer Co. games need to identified as district games on Union City's schedule. Union City lost to Hopkins Co. Central, Ky 56 - 48 on Dec. 20. Union City plays Louisville Moore, Ky on Dec. 21.

There are a couple of corrections that need to be made in Union City's boys basketball schedule: Graves Co. game on 12-10 needs to be deleted that game was played on 12-14. Also, Jan. 3 game at Westview needs to be deleted. The Jan. 3 game at Union City is correct.
