ECU, I know that a lot of teams do not count them when they lose but do count them if they win. However I know that this years Community team did count them as losses but the news paper did not and the team has no control over what they print. I assure you coach Bryant took the losses and they will learn from them and also the school website took the losses. The truth is that this should be a fun year in District 9a because as you know in district play overall records mean nothing.

Wow after that Score my top 4 might have to change. Could be Forrest and Huntland battling for top 2 spots

Anyone know how the Cascade/Huntland game turned out? Here is my predictions as well................ 1. Forrest 2. Community 3. Huntland 4. Cascade 5. Eagleville 6. Moore County 7. Boyd Christian 8. M.T.C.S No one will go unbeaten in Distric play this year and it will be a battle to get into that top 4 to get into the Region

The game was not much to talk about except I do see alot of improvement in Community from last year. It was 14-0 with 3:30 to go in first half and we were driving. The next thing you know it is 28-0 at half so it was closer than it seems at least in the early going. However the purpose of this post is just to say that Jackson County is about the classiest program I have ever seen. There fans were great. There players constantly helped our guys up after the plays. Some of There band members came to our side to tell our band they had done a great job. There QB club purchased hamburgers for thier entire team after the game. Jim Brown should be congradulated not only on being the best bball coach in the state bust also for being a great AD. The man even drove a bus to the game! Class act!

I tell you this is a loaded district this year however I will give my pics. 1. Moore County - Van, Brown, Garland, Howell, Raby- Enough said! However I think they split the regular season contests with Forrest 2. Forrest- Hawn is great but if you stop her can they still beat you? Can you really stop Hawn? I do not know either but these two are the best in the district 3. Community- They are very young but this team plays as team with great attitudes and they are well coached. I say they are the suprise team in the district after losing so many Seniors last year. 4. M.T.C.S- do not know alot but I know Mullin and Martin can play but can they ever get over the hump and beat Forrest? 5. Cascade- Spencer is a ball coach and he will have his team ready to play anyone at anytime. This team could finish as high as second but right now I have them in 5th real close to 4th. That is what I was thinking. I read in our paper when they got in the last fight and the Coach said he told the players now they have made a mistake because he seen what they could do after the fight and their emotions were flowing. I thought boy they should still be running. I know for a fact that Unionville has some high temper people out there. Everybody in Bedford County knows that and it seems that now everybody in the state is finding that out. I seen a coach from Unionville last year at a Flag Football game go across during the middle of the game and try to start a fight because they were getting beat. And by the way this coach was suppose to be a preacher. "UMM" Some more inside info from Bedford County. One of their Volunteer Assistant Coaches was not allowed to coach at Liberty this year because he tried to fight a umpire during a 1st and 2nd grade game last year. Unionville also has a set of parents that are banned from the City park because they got into a fist fight during a Baberuth Baseball Game so they moved to Unionville so they would fit in. I also Witness a 11&12 yr old game were the coaches fans and players from Unionville were fighting with the other team that beat them because they got beat and thought they were going to have a perfect season Ya I know 11&12 yr OLds Crazy. But this is Unionville. I hate it for the kids in Unionville. They have some very good ones also like Cody Pierce. You will not find a better person than Cody. I love Unionville and I always will! I agree the players are frustrated, the parents are frustrated, the fans are frustrated, the coaches are frustrated, the administration is frustrated. I hate to see what is going on and I hate to hear all the negative comments about my school and our kids. First of all I AM the coach that has been called out in this post. I am the preacher that has been accused of this..."I seen a coach from Unionville last year at a Flag Football game go across during the middle of the game and try to start a fight because they were getting beat. And by the way this coach was suppose to be a preacher. "UMM" First of all let me say I am ashamed that this happened but I assure everyone that this is not how it happened. Number one at the time of the incident we were not losing we were winning. The opposing coach was doing his job but I took some of his comments personal towards our kids and myself. I did not go across to fight anyone. I took two steps towards the coach and asked him "why are you running your mouth to our kids"? It looked a lot worse than it was and the other coach and myself were flagged and play continued. At the end of the game I went the coach at mid-field after we were beaten and I said to him "That was totally my fault and I am very sorry I caused a scene" He told me to get out of his face and I then said to him "I beg you for forgiveness" and he refused. I then went to the pulpit of my church and told the congregation what happened and I begged them to forgive me. I then tried to resign from coaching but the parents and the board asked me to stay. Since that game I no longer coach from the field I stay on the side lines and I do the substitutions. By the way we won the championship for the year. I am still ashamed that this happened but it did and I still hope that coach will forgive me. Now back to the subject of Viking football. The teams are coming. We must get this all straighened out because the youth football teams for Community are doing very well and the days of the Vikings competing are at hand. However this will only happen if we remain patient and we do not take our children to other schools. I know this will get fixed I just do not know how but even in all this I still love my school and the people of Unionville and I long for the day when pride returns and when it means something again to put the Viking on and go play for your school.

Funny how things work out that is for sure. Eagleville is the best team in the distirct and won the tourney tonight. My hat is off to Forrest and Coach Davy. That bunch play hard and gets after it on every single play. Community beat Cascade again tonight for thier third win over them for the year. Now the plan about dodging Clarksville Academy is shot since they got beat by Houston County in the semi's. This now means that most likely Forrest will host them this coming Saturday and I promise you Forrest will give them all they want. This also means that Cascade is not in too bad of shape finishing fourth and neither is Community finishing third. The results of the game between NCS and White House Heritage has not been posted yet but one of these is likely who Community will go play. Should be an interesting region.

It was a great game and both teams defended well. The Vikings came out with an OT win and gave themselves a chance to get back into the hunt for the district.

District and Region tournies will be at Eagleville

Here I am and I could not be prouder of my beloved Queens after losing a close one tonight to Forrrest. The Queens are getting better every night. Watch out for them in the post season

That has been a problem for sure, howver Natale had his coming out game the other night against Santa Fe I hope it is just the beginning of what is too come

I have seen Community all year and i have remained silent thus far. The problem is we are world beaters one night and could not beat a Jr. Pro team the next. However I would not count them out they have alot of talent and a very good coach. I think they finish in the top three in the District and make a run at the tourny title but only time will tell and that is excactly why you play the games.................

here is the way I see it happening! Community beats Cascade Van Buren Beats Eagleville MTCS beats Boyd At Community Forrest Beats Community (I hate to even type that lol) MTCS beats Van buren Championship Forrest Beats MTCS Now lets talk about this Consolation Math-up This will be the worst game ever in tournament history. Neither team wants to win this game. If you win you end up third in the district and are in Forrest's bracket in the region. However if you lose you are fourth and you would not have to play Forrest again until the championship. I believe that after the first round of the region tourny it will be a 9a sweep. So it is not bad to be the #4 from 9a and play the #1 from 10a. In other words you want to finish 2nd or 4th. Van Buren Beats Community in consolation.

Call me crazy (which you should but like I always say if you dint pick your team then your not a fan) but here is the way I see it happening (or at least I hope). Community Beats Cascade Forrest beats MTCS Eagleville beats Boyd Second Round at Community Community Beats Van Buren (hard to beat a team three times) Forrest beats Eagleville (I think the poster before me was correct that Forrest is playing well and sometimes Eagleville can be a little concieted which is not a bad thing but may overlook Forrest here trying to get back to Van Buren) Eagleville Beats Van Buren in Consolation (once again hard to beat a team three times) Community Beats Forrest in Championship (and once again hard to beat a team three times) The truth of the matter is Community could lose Tuesday at Cascade and not even make the tourney or they could win it. That goes for any of the top 6 even MTCS could get hot. This is a very balanced district.
