  1. I have been blowing the whistle for 20 years, The Slide tackel is one of the hardest things to call right, you need to see if definder got all ball, was cleats high, was the definder late, and do all of this in less than a second. We get it right most of the time, and sometimes we get wrong, And the other thing to consider. Setting in the stands you have a different view, plus sometimes we are partially block from view by other players. All we can do is call what we see.
  2. the ref. can stop play if there is no scorring chance, and the restart is a indirect kick for the team in possession of the ball (high school rule only) if team b has a scoreing chance whistle should not be blown until advantage is lost. If injury is sevire ref can stop play .
  3. as a ref with 18 years of exp. one of the places injuries occur is shinguards, not long enough, high school rules state the guards must not be no higher than two inches above the ankles, you would not belive the flack we get if we ask a player to lower them ,or get some age apprpate guards. Most of your better coached teams, to not play out of control, when players play out of control someone will get hurt.
  4. The distric is based upon school enrollment, for example for the last 5 years, spring hill was in franklin's distric, and when enrollment droped, it went back to playing in a lower distric.
  5. CPA is a good team that playes team ball, good D. Great Midfiled and good fowards. they look for each other and make good pases. to beat them you will have to bring your A game. I have no affilation with CPA,
