I agree Ziad will not get hurt by this error, but the other kids that are battling for the 2nd and 3rd place and the opportunity to wrestle in Chattanooga. Ziad is the best wrestler and the best wrestler will come through the tournament. Hammer you are right Ziad is a great kid and I only want what is best for him and his chance at a state medal. Ringworm from your earlier statement please let the coaches do the coaching and you continue to be the cheerleader.

Cousy, I think someone told a few untruths inorder to get the better seed and maybe get away from the 3rd seed from Oakland, hopefully the coaches in region 5 will fix what is wrong and not allow a little white lie to destroy the tournament and hamper a wrestler that deserves to be seeded #1. Regardless Ziad will win the tournament and the true best wrestler will come through the bracket and that will be Ziad. I just hope that the coaches who allowed this to happen will come forward and correct the mistake.

How has this happend??? 2 returning region champs @ 130 and 285 not seeded first. What criteria was used to seed Aboulmouna (Tullahoma) under Mitchell (Riverdale)? I am really confused to how this has happend and who allowed this to be overlooked, if it is incorrect. The only thing I can come to for the heavyweight is a common opponent that Roper (Tullahoma) has lost to prior to his injury that Bain (Warren Co.) has defeated if that is the case then the seed at 285 is correct. I believe someone got fooled for the 130 seeds to be this wrong. Please explain if you were present at the meeting.

Mr. Patton, I was unaware Josh's condition has become so bad and is need of surgery. I hope that all goes well and above all else he is healthy. I know Josh and know that he would not duck Cody Quick, but I can say I wouldn't want to wrestle Quick unless I was in the best possible condition. I hope the region the best of luck and maybe you guys can send 2 teams to Clarksville this season and improve on the 5th place finish (Tied with Greeneville) the wildcats accomplished last season. The region 5 tournament is a long time from now, but it is the wildcats title to win and the wrestlers must understand the responsibility that comes along with the winning tradition at Tullahoma. Titles are not given they are earned and that is the only way these wildcats will be successful. There are many kids on that team that need to step up and lead the way on and off the mat. Your actions and hard work are seen and will be rewarded, but you have to put your team first and not be selfish. You have accomplished so much more than ANYBODY ever give us credit for last season, and there is no reason that does not continue now. Put this loss behind you but never let it leave your mind that you lost and gave Blackman a glimer of hope of taking the region 5 title from you. I expect great things from the returning state qualifiers and that greatness can only be achieved by hard work in the room and not by your mouth. The Tullahoma / Blackman match sounded excitiing and I am sorry I missed the fireworks. I will say that getting the boys from Football into hydration is a coach issue that the new coach must become aware of the rules and how the system works. I am aware that he is from another state and may not known how the system works yet, but the truth is now Tullahoma is sitting behind the 8-ball with a region loss to Blackman. Hopefully the boys will get their weight in order and have a better season. There are many kids on that team that I want to see be successful this season and I know that time will prevail and Lester will have them ready by February. Coach Lester and I didn't always see eye to eye, one reason is because he is so short lol. We did agree that Coozy got the reach around that night in Chattanooga!!!! Thank you for all the kind comments and I am sure you will get a great coach at Tullahoma to continue the winning tradition in the wrestling program. Hopefully our paths will cross again in the future and we can sit back and laugh at all the good memories.

Don't worry Binns the Black Velvet Tour will continue regardless of me being the coach at Tullahoma. I want to thank you for your friendship and countless hours supporting numerous Tullahoma athletic teams through the years. I will miss the bus trips and the 4 on the floor, and who will ever forget the tunnel to Ravenwood.

Maybe coward is to strong of a word to use, but I just wish someone would have given a public reason for his dismissal from coaching at Tullahoma HS, or just even to the parties involved. I hope that things work our for Coach Olive and his great staff this season.

Yes I am going to Science Hill High School to be the offensive line coach and help with the run game end of the new offense. Yes Coach Smith loves to call plays on Friday nights and will continue that at Science Hill. I made the move to Johnson City based on family and not any unhappy feelings with Tullahoma. The bigger question is what is going on at Tullahoma High School with them letting Coach Melton go with no reason given to either Melton or Head Coach John Olive. We obviously have a few people in charge that will not support or wants a winning Football program. I think if this continues Coach Olive may find him another HC job somewhere, because there is nothing worse than working for cowards that will not support you or your program. I wish Tullahoma the best and hope that my former coaches will find happiness somewhere in the future. Thank you for all the positive comments
