  1. Yeah, DL ripped FRA a new one yesterday
  2. I don't understand how you can say that so easily when FRA beat them twice last year. Please don't say something like they made huge improvements by working hard in the offseason or anything, because it makes it seem like FRA didn't, which isn't true. The only player CPA added was "Z", but FRA added a huge upgrade at the 3 position that can shoot the lights out. I don't mind you picking them to beat FRA, but saying it's ridiculous is a little far. And "trust me", you are overhyping these sophomores. CPA has almost no advantage over FRA, and I don't really know how you can prove me wrong there. "Z" has proven nothing against AA talent, Miller is a talented offensive player but is a liabilty on defense, and saying Anderson is a "fantastic" player is a little far fetched. Talk trash, I don't care. But don't completely disrespect a team you know nothing about.
  3. Yet again, I never said they would finish top 4. But I have seen Zeke play, and I am very unimpressed. Talented, but extremely lazy and gets in foul trouble. Also, FRA played in a lot of AAU games this summer, so don't act like that is some kind of advantage for CPA.
  4. I never said anything about FRA finishing ahead of DL, MLK, Hume Fogg, or Pearl Cohn, and because of that, I don't see how CPA or Ezell are more athletic or have the gamechanger you speak of. I really don't wanna have to say this, but i'm assuming you mean FRA isn't athletic because they don't have black people. Because if you don't mean that, then you have no idea what you are talking about. They might not be flashy, but it's not like their players have 10 inch vertical leaps and can't run with anybody. And also, having starters is important because they have been in close games before and won't be shocked by the "athleticism" of the other teams that you speak of. It's really not that hard of a concept to understand.
  5. I understand they have run more meets than the one on Tuesday. I'm not an idiot. But if you just take PR's from all the teams, then a lot could look extremely good right now. Based on their most recent meet, they did not meet your standards. What's to say they won't do that at State? Now DL is still the team to beat, there is no doubt about it. They're the favorite, they know it, and everyone else knows it. But they are not unbeatable.
  6. FRA might only have one strong player this year, Salamander was mistaken. The other starters just shouldnt be considered weaknesses considering they all have starting experience and have played in AA before. The weakness will be the bench, no doubt about it. No bench player has any experience for varsity except for some minutes that were few and far between.
  7. That's interesting considering that everyone expected them to dominate this year including some people predicting them to break FRA's state record of fewest points. The other one is also interesting considering they only had one guy break 17:25 and only two others break 17:40 on Tuesday.
  8. So, after sweeping Ezell and CPA last year, returning 3 starters and there 6th man plus 2 transfers from Montessori and a transfer from Page, you all pick them behind CPA and Ezell. I guess that works out.
  9. Oh, that's good. Even though he can help his team in state, he was too selfish to actually try just because he didn't like it. What a team guy.
  10. I heard that he was under the impression that top 2 in each heat qualified, but it was only tpo time and next 3 fastest i think. So, he let his teammate beat him in his heat for the better lane, and his time didn't get him to the finals.
  11. I'm glad you like bragging about your former teammates. Can't you move on? Yes, Jaynes is a very good runner, but at least wait for some times to come out before you say he can't be challenged.
  12. That's pretty funny coming from scronny little guy who would probably kick someone in the nuts and then just run away.
  13. That's pretty funny coming from scronny little guy who would probably kick someone in the nuts and then just run away.
  14. Of course they don't because the Single A public schools cried like little girls because they weren't winning enough state titles. Not many teams that moved up to Double A are gonna have very good teams in basketball.
  15. That's a little obvious there stealth.
  16. I never said that GJ was a better athlete than Ben Davies. I do think that Davies is the best athlete in the state, he is unbelievable.
  17. That is very not true. GJ is a god at the 400 and 800. Jaynes is a good runner, i know this and i recognize that. But GJ is the best single event runner TN has this year. He is one of the 5 best 800 runners in the country. He will burn Jaynes unless he gets hurt, which i really hope doesn't happen.
  18. If you want to get serious, then face the facts. GJ is twice the 800 runner you are. Sorry to tell you this Jaynes, but you have absolutely NO CHANCE at beating GJ. It will be him and him alone at the end of that 800 race unless he gets hurt. Another thing, some people are better milers and 2-milers that cross country runners and vice versa. Ryan Sexton, a sub-16 minute CC runner for Station Camp, could barely run 10:30 in the 2-mile.
  19. So you are pretty much saying you had terrible races every race except for your 16:43? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. And i also think it's funny how you are now blaming a teammate for your slow time. You are not that good. I respect that you have goals, but at least be realistic about them. And don't make excuses for running a fast time on a short course.
  20. The course wasn't short? So explain to me how the time you ran there was ridiculously faster than any of your other times. Your next best time was like 17:27! You honestly thought you were a legitimate sub-17 runner? Come on man! You broke 17 once on a short course, and you suddenly thought you were some savvy senior who knew what he was talking about.
  21. I really hope you were joking about Jaynes winning the 800. He is very talented, don't get me wrong. But his race strategy in the 800 is ridiculous. He goes out at like 54 and comes in at 64. But any way that he runs it, he will get demolished by GJ from CPA. No one can run with him, not even Jaynes. Also, why do you now say that you are not on the CC team. As stealth said earlier, you have posted saying that you are Chris Brummit. And one last thing, i don't understand you're logic about how E-Town would win 5 out of 10 races against FRA. They got beat the one time they ran, and it isn't like E-Town was the only team to have bad races. As i have said, FRA's #3 ran 45 seconds slower at state than his region time, and no one else ran as well as they could have. I'm going to have to say this one more time. FRA beat E-Town by a lot, and you are going to have to deal with that. And Jaynes won't win his prized 800 either, unless GJ gets hurt. And that would only give Jaynes the title with an asterisk next to his name.
  22. First of all, you have no idea what you are talking about. FRA nor DL give academic or athletic scholarships. You are now just trying to make excuses, Brummit. And don't talk crap about how E-Town ran a bad race. Real teams overcome bad races, like FRA did when their #3 only got 5th on the team. You should have been more prepared like FRA was and not think that you could just show up and win. I also like the fact how you are now trying to call the "cup-cake" course you ran on the reason you all lost. You guys underestimated it, and it tooled you around. And another thing, if you think that FRA and DL have an advantage over here, then you would have the same advantage in East TN. You are now just trying to make a desperate attempt at proving E-Town is better even though FRA won. FACE IT BRUMMIT, you lost. I also would point and laugh in your face right now about how you think you will win state individually. Good luck with that.
