  1. It would be great to put faces with some of the aliases.
  2. Wow, how did High Voltage get left out? That is shocking!
  3. Wow, we have to get together. I currently have three daughters on the AC team (Senior, Junior, and Freshman) an one in the 7th grade at Norris Middle where my wife coaches voleyball. The event at AC went very well. I could not believe how many former players and coaches were there. It was a very special night. I'll bet the nature boy could put together a big show for you guys at East Ridge. Who is he anyway?
  4. The Anderson County Volleyball team will begin their 25th anniversary season Tuesday, August 21 at the AC gym. In addition to commemorating the start of the 25th season, the school will: • Welcome back all players from the last 25 years • Announce the top 10 volleyball players of all time at AC • Use the new center court for the first time which will make the fan experience much better If I may brag a little bit, it has been a great 25 years: • 811 – 337 Overall Record • 225 – 36 District Record • 16 District Championships • 10 Regional Championships • 12 Sectional Championships • 8 Final Fours • 4 State Finals • 1 State Championship • Current Streak of 10 Consecutive State Tournaments • 32 1st Team All-State Players • 12 2nd Team All-State Players • 30 Volleyball Scholarships There have also been numerous other accolades given to players and coaches that would make this list much larger. I would also like to congratulate volleyball coach Dail Cantrell for being the first coach inducted into the Anderson County Sports Hall of Fame. This award will be presented by Coach Pat Summit at an upcoming banquet.
  5. I was very surprised with Loudon. They have a very aggressive full court pressure defense that is fun to watch. I have not seen AE play yet, but I am reading good things. It looks to be very competitive between Loudon, AE, and AC. Any thoughts about who will come out on top? Shock It To Me!
  6. I have a great idea for OS91: Why don't you start a new topic called: "Let's talk about the South Central Kentucky State Hillclimbers" Then you can talk to all of your friends about them. We will stay over here and talk about the topic OS vs. AC. Does anone know the class breakdown of the first 7 or 8 players at OS? Shock It To Me Real Good!
  7. I don't think we know each other, but I agree with your assessment of these young ladies. From what I have heard, Norris Middle is a great school.
  8. Why didn't you tell me that is all I had to do to get you to stop talking about spelling, ancient history, and those dang Southwest Central Hillstompers? Shock it To Me Baby!
  9. Dear Mr. Debate Club President, No one is chest thumping but you. You keep talking about OS history and the dang mighty South Central Kentucky Hilltoppers (whoever they are). Speaking for myself, I would rather have a good East Tennessee high school sports conversation about AC and OS. I haven’t seen anyone slam OS or say that AC is the champion of the world. You seem to forget that these are teenage girls playing their hearts out to win. These teams are FUN to watch. Both of these teams have reasons to be proud regardless of the outcome of the game last week or the upcoming match up. I would love to see both teams go deep in the State Tournament. I ask again, what does that have to do with the past 11 years, your big words, or those dang North Eastern Kentucky Hilltoppers (whoever they are)? Shock It To Me Baby!
  10. Dr. QZ, I am so proud of you for sticking to something you actually know something about (other than athletics). Try this one: Your superfluous dialog emanates a pungent odor. Maybe there is a better message board for you like ProfessorT.com Shock It To Me!
  11. Dear Professor OZ, What is basketballas? I realize that you are intellectually superior to the SEC fans in East Tennessee. Would you please not use such big words? If I may point out one small mistake in your previous post; SEC fans are not ignorant of other basketball programs outside of the SEC, we are just not interested. Once you've seen the best, why look at the rest. You are absolutely amazing. Is there anything that you don't know about? English, History, and now you are an expert prognosticator. Let me try to make a bold prediction like you do: "The Houston Texans will go undefeated and win the Super Bowl next year". Shock It To Me!
  12. Oh my, you did it again. Why don't you tell us all about how great you were in high school (if you played). We would love to read about that just about as much as we love to read what you have to say about the past accomplishments of OS. I am sure the fine young ladies at OS would like to be remembered for their accomplishments (and they certainly will have some). I truely want OS to have a great deal of success. They were impressive both on the court and off. I will cheer for them except when they play AC. I hope my spelling and grammer are acceptable for you. Shock It To Me!
  13. OS91/The English Professor Please check my grammer and spelling for me. You seem to better at that than you are making a logical post. What is the deal with congratulating a team and then assertng your past dominance. Is this some type of shallow victory for you? OS has a good team and a great tradition of toughness, but the better team won last Friday night. I agree that OS is a young team, but AC has a geat deal of youth also. I look forward to the battles between these two teams over the next couple of years. In addition to being an English Professor you must also be a History Scholar because you seem to live in the past. Shock It To Me!
  14. No Mamma, just trying to bring them out of the shadows. Gorilla warfare is for the weak of heart.
