Well, Oz boys.... In baseball there are no flukes, just teams prepare better. Wartburg beat oz because wartburg went out and played to win, instead of playing to not lose. Coalfield beat Sunbright tonight, was it a fluke? No. Coalfield prepared better than the tigers. Is leach better than Hawn? who knows and who cares? I'm sure if you ask either of them about the other they will say, " Kid can pitch." Good luck to both teams, and either way, Dont get on here after the game and talk about bad calls or anything like that cause thats baseball just say the score, leave an extremely brief description, like WP and LP. Who pitched for both sides? Ima just take a guess and say Hawn from sunbright, and Warwick from Coalfield.... Cause both these kids are their respected teams work horse.

Oz beat the dawgs 5-2 at wartburg tonight. Both Pitchers were tough for their oppenents. Oz's Defense, and wartburgs lack of Defense is what won the game. Congrats Oz. This win puts Oz in good position to win the regular season district.

If doughty runs a 5.1, Wartburg will beat Coalfield this year. Louden would beat Coalfield handly too, because Louden would probley go to Murphressboro, but They have to play the State Champs in the third round. I agree with Fearbong speed is a big ? this year, because all of the kids are so big physically, they cant run extremely fast. Coalfield will be a bruising team, but loosing Davis and Hill is gonna hurt them alot. As for sticking to sports, Coalfield should stick with BASEBALL cause that's the only sport they've been to Murphressboro in (Male Sports). Saying this, Coalfield will go 3-0 in the county again.

A kid is on the mound in the top of the sixth with two outs and is pulled with the score tied 0-0. In the bottom of the sixth his team scores 3 runs which pushed the score to 3-0. According to the rulebook I'm under the impression that the pitcher that replaced the starter gets the win. Is this correct? Thanks in advance.

Alright guys it has died out, but time to revive it....... All Teams stand with at least 1 district lost..... Most with two or more.... there has been some upsets and some blowouts......... The season is starting to wind down, who finishes strong? Who struggles? Who has lived up to his hype, and who aint?

Wartburg-11 Oneida-10 This game went into an extra frame..... Was a great game but sloppy... and could possibly be a first round game come tourny time.

I hate to say this, but Sunbright should have won that game. Sunbright is the better team, but Wartburg just caught them on an off-night. This just means Wartburg is going to have to start playing consistant, because people now know they have the ability to knock off a top team, and they won't get any games like they did friday night. They will have to earn every district win from here on out. Best of luck though Dawgs.

Who are the projected starters? Defense will win this one, because both of these teams are able to score runs, and which ever pitcher gives his defense the best chance to make a play will win.

WP- Daugherty LP- Hawn Quick break down, Weaver started. Game went into the bottom of the seventh with Caleb Bunch hitting a sharp hit ball to second with the bases loaded scoring Keaton.

Darty pitched and had the lead, and was pulled when he got in a tight spot. Wartburg had 6 errors, and 8 walks. this is second hand information, but my source is pretty reliable. 5 pitchers were used throughout this game. I'm pretty sure, the strikezone was very tight, but Wartburg is gonna have to play good down the stretch if they want to go into the tounry not in last again.

Haha agreed and I also agree Rockwood has the best 3,4,5 hitters in the region. There is alot of Power between those three boys.

HAHA Doughty? he has like 8 or 9..... and the most important offensive stat there is is On base %......... and Batting average. Home Runs are nice ya...... but if there is nobody on base you get one run.... and id rather have a kid hit .500 then a kid hit .250 and hit 5 hr's.

I heard Wartburg and Jackson County played a 13 inning game with the final score beeing....... 21-16 Wartburg. It lasted 4 and a half hours. where does this game rank in longest games?

I don't know how much of a difference it would make because I don't follow Fulton baseball, but Fulton was in the State Basketball Tournament. So, They could be an entirely different team with the basketball boys back.
