  1. Eh, Miller was more on fire than Z was tonight. Miller had a hand in his face much of the night and still knocked them down.
  2. For FRA to have a chance at beating CPA not only Kennedy needs to get hot, but the rest of the team's perimeter players need to get hot. Everyone but 1 or 2 players that play can shoot the 3 on FRA, and they all need to make a few threes to win this one. I doubt we will see Pierce pull a McPherson and hold the ball, at least from his previous game plans against CPA. If CPA shoots the lights out against them like they did last game @ CPA, FRA has no chance. Giles Co. vs Lipscomb is a very interesting game. With Giles formed much in the same way as Pearl-Cohn is, and DL having already lost to them, it should be interesting to see how they fare against what will probably be a more athletic team.
  3. Same thing with FRA. Granted, FRA's gym was built in the 70s so its even smaller, but i know they can't even host a District tournament anymore. Sad because it's a nice facility, especially with the renovation and there would not be any of the parking problems that MLK had this year. When FRA's girls team went to Section 2 years ago they had to have the game at DCA. Kind of sad if you ask me.
  4. Congratulations... but we weren't talking about football so please dear god shut up.
  5. This is the dumbest post I've seen.... he was using an analogy, not comparing football teams.
  6. To those saying that DL did not deserve to win this game because they didn't play basketball, well then CPA didn't play basketball either because they sure didn't go out to defend them.
  7. And the ever so tough lounging in chairs for 3/4 of practice.
  8. From what I heard about the Giles Co. - Spring Hill game last night, there was no way Spring Hill should've been close in the game. Spring Hill ran a high 3-2 zone and all Giles did was run right to those men. Then, when Spring Hill came out in a man defense during the second half, Giles apparently didn't even recognize it was a man defense. Very odd game to be sure. I think every matchup is pretty interesting, but I see 3 9AA teams getting past the first round. CPA and Lipscomb I think will win though DL will have a tough time with Marshall to be sure. Now FRA-Spring Hill will be a good matchup and Pearl-Cohn-Giles Co. will also be a good one. Both matchups are matchups of teams that are very similar. Pearl and Giles are both very very athletic.
  9. Oh man how dare he go for the ball... Remind me how a trying to get a rebound is dirty again.
  10. FRA plays Spring Hill and Pearl plays Giles Co. I'm pretty sure. FRA is the 3 seed in 9AA and Spring Hill is the 2 seed in 10AA
  11. hahaha yeah obviously these schools recruit. No offense to ezell, but if they recruit, they're doing a sorry job of it. I won't even bring up Z's past, mainly because thats what it is, past.
  12. I feel there are probably 3 other coaches in the district that could have gone undefeated with CPA's talent.
  13. Yes but everyone expected CPA to win the district this year. FRA was picked middle to lower 3rd of the district and they finished tied for 2nd. I'm not saying Maddux isn't a great coach, most coaches in this district are, just that this year Pierce (according to other coaches I might add) did the best job with what was given to him - which is really what high school sports is about. I highly doubt the coaches of the district would be so blindly prejudiced because of a coach's age.
  14. I just realize that not every person was meant to be a role model for others. That doesn't mean that they are a bad person, plus obviously high school kids do stupid stuff all the time, myself included.
  15. Glad the brain is working there as I was talking about the students who were doing the flips too that were not cheerleaders. Since when is every grown man a role model anyways, its not like high school kids dont do stupid stuff on their own, not as if one man will make a difference. Whatever moot point, agree to disagree, though my opinion is obviously the better one.
  16. Because coach of the year has more to do with what you do with the players given. I would that all but a few coaches in the district could win a whole lot with CPA's talent. That is not to say that FRA does not have talent, obviously they do, but I think everyone can agree that CPA is the better team.
  17. Just as the students were in in the game? Are students the only ones allowed to be in the game now? sarcasm Maybe the students are the "great role models" /sarcasm
  18. I disagree, any game that is a shootout, CPA will win. They are just too good to run and gun with. DL played how they had to play to win, and with the exception of about 5 shots at the end of regulation and the OTs they executed their gameplan. The 5-man spread worked brilliantly against the man, and once CPA went into the zone I thought I saw Glenn Tackett on the sideline over there...
  19. How dare fans get into the game... there were students that were not cheerleaders doing the flips too. It was a great atmosphere. Who cares if he did something completely stupid, seemed pretty cool to me.
  20. Okay CPA fans are ridiculous if you think CPA outplayed DL tonight.
  21. okay let's not go that far. As much as I hate CPA I dont think they're fans were that classless, maybe dumb but not classless. but I am ecstatic that CPA will have to pay that fine for rushing the court. Oh and whoever earlier in the thread said that Petersen was a great player, he had a horrid game tonight. I dont think he took one shot (maybe that's why he has such a great shooting %). I think he got burned about 4 or 5 times. Lipscomb outcoached and outplayed CPA tonight and truly deserved that win.
  22. It won't be a surprise for very long... plus I still think FRAs 4x8 has a good chance
  23. haha wow good times. i still keep that signature to remind me of those great times
  24. As great as your sources are, please tell us how you know

    9AA

I think if All-District was for the 2nd half of the district season maybe, but the first half of the year he did not perform nearly as well. It's obvious his confidence level has soared, but you are right that he can take it to the hole
