  1. I agree with that you said. Gibbs is the most improved player. Last year she wouldn't even shoot the ball. Now she is a main role player. Ball handling does need to get better. Massey and Oldham have improved. But if they want to beat Upperman they need to keep working.
  2. Yes Smith Co. did play Harpeth this summer at Portland play day. It was a good game from what I heard. Smith only lost by 3 and it was due to a turnover at the end of the game. They play each other again in a week or so I think at another play day. Should be interesting to see the turn out.
  3. I believe that this could be Smith Co. year. I have seen them run and heard about the stuff they do. I know that no one in the state probably works harder than they do. And you must give the coaches credit for that. Smith Co. is loaded as well. They have the big girl, and the seniors Gibbs and Massey. They have become great leaders. Upperman and LA will be the challenge for them this season. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
  4. I think that Smith Co. will be close to the top. Yes, they do lose Sleeper and Hembree, but they still have the Massey's and the little Sleeper, and rumor has it that they have a 6'6" girl coming next year. Shooters and a BIG post.......what more to say!!!
  5. I have watched many from not only this season but last season as well. And I agree with QueenBee. Hembree is a leader on the team. All great teams have to have a leader and Hembree is that for Smith Co. She does not play selfish or anything. TEAMS win games!!! And the
  6. I agree it is about time for the Owlettes to win something big and show everyone their ability. I still stand by what I said once before " Smith Co. is the scariest team in the district." For the Owlettes to win this one, they are once again going to have to play like a team. Massey and Sleeper did a good job holding Brown to 11 and 17 points the last two games, but one of them is really going to have to step up and take her out this time. Brown and Hembree are the two best players in the district, which will make this game even better. Good Luck to both team!!!! Owlettes by 4
  7. Congrats Owlettes!!!! This was a great game till the final horn. I have to give it to the coaches, the game plan that they had was great and the girls did a great job making it happen. Talk about some "TEAM" basketball. Good luck in the region. I believe yall could go all the way!!!!!!!!
  8. The owlettes are the scariest team in the district, you never know how they will play. Lately this owlette team has been playing together and working hard. I can't wait to see what the tourny holds!!!
  9. Congrats owlettes after your win last night 50 48 Kinda remind me of last year when the too rivals matched up. Massey hit a 3 in the same spot as Dawson did last year to win the game. Hembree and Massey both played well. Gordonsville played hard. But thats what you expect when you put these two rivals together!!!
  10. 3 DAYS left and I'm ready for some OWLETTE BASKETBALL!!!
  11. 3 DAYS left and i'm ready for some OWLETTE BASKETBALL!!!!!!!
  12. 3 DAYS left and i'm ready for some OWLETTE BASKETBALL!!!!!!!
  13. Brown is always hard to stop but lets not forget that Hembree is also hard to stop too when she is in her game. It will be a battle to the end!!
  14. I think that this game could be one of the best games of the year. Both 7AA MVPS playing against each other. Should be a good show, a very close one. Any predictions????
