  1. I guess not, no guts no glory and don't believe in the run game for two yards. Could it will come back to bite?
  2. Will Hillsboro take it in from the 7 yard line?
  3. No radio, due to the TSSAA inability to charge listeners fee. It's a new day for TSSAA controlling media outlets.
  4. He doesn't sound as bad on radio. The audio on Comcast is poor at the best. Mike's voice could come through clear in a divers mask. At least Hillsboro has settle down...let see what Maryville can do.
  5. Part of the Titans contribution to the high schools. Kevin Dyson...anybody doing commentating next to Mike Keith looks bad. Mike is the professional. Kevin Dyson does before and after game radio comments on the Titans on 104.5/103.3 Nashville.
  6. After the end of the first quarter with no score, both teams need to settle down. The fumbles are too much.
  7. Visitors wear white. Maryville is the visitors.
  8. Dang if this KingZ story gets better all the time. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> What's next? A book deal?
  9. Comcast owns rights therefore it will only be on cable outlets in Tennessee. Dish or Direct TV...you are out of luck since this is not part of the local programming like previous years. This is what you call TSSAA not thinking ahead. How do you say Gotch Ya...this is another one up on cable versus satellite. Comcast 1, Satellite 0
  10. Great comeback on the pitch??¦Pride & Passion??¦a point well deserved for being authentic. Franklin 1, Oakland 1 /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  11. It seems you've beat Oakland to "We Believe" pitch. Franklin 1, Oakland 0 /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. KingZ has kept your team pumped all season. You might think about letting KingZ give the pregame speech. KingZ has been a good omen for Franklin. He deserves autograph game ball after the trophy presentation, should be included in the team celebration photo, and talk to the news media afterwards wrap-up analysis and quotes. The ???Z??? sticker on the helmet would be a nice touch. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Stay low, loose, and enjoy!
  13. I image the game between Centennial and Hillsboro will be more like a intense rivalry for the next few years with the winner automatically going to the playoff??™s. The teams needs to go watch Hillsboro play Saturday.
  14. It looks to me that it helps quite a bit except for one or two. The ideal of playing tough teams to get better died with the reclassification. Besides, you will get that within the District 11.
  15. If it is as bad as led to belive on here, I sure hope Hillsboro get this fixed before District 11 play next year. It surely can't be as bad as Clarksville NE.
  16. Schedule five easy wins out of district, win one in district...at 6-4, sure to get in as wildcard. All Centennial has to do is beat Hillsboro. Centennial could go to the playoffs at 1-9 as long as the win is over Hillsboro. It just don't get any easier than to beat one team to get in the playoffs.
  17. I've looked it up and ran the projections. Additionally, Franklin had one quality loss to Brentwood while Oakland had one non-quality loss to Lebanon. Someone mention earlier Franklin being overconfident. I cannot see how Franklin can be overconfident when data suggest Franklin to be confident playing against quality opposition. The data is what it is while adding Hillsboro to the list for the 4A championship game to the quality of competition for Franklin. If history is any indication, it looks like the new Class III, District 11 will have two teams in the championship games every year.
  18. Why Franklin will win: Oakland opposing team??™s combined record: 67 wins ??“ 74 losses Franklin opposing team??™s combined record: 87 wins -61 losses Wins against teams with winning record: Oakland 5 ??“ Franklin 9 Average offensive points per game: Oakland 22 ??“ Franklin 35 Average defensive points per game: Oakland 8 ??“ Franklin 13 Combine ratio average of offense vs opposing defense and defense vs opposing offense: Oakland 2 ??“ Franklin 5 Common opponents wins/losses: 4-1 advantage Franklin (Brentwood 21 @ Smyrna 9, Blackman 6 @ Brentwood 28, Siegel 17 @ Brentwood 31, Centennial 22 @ Siegel 20, Dickson County 14 @ Riverdale 48) Projected score @ rainy weather conditions: Franklin 22 ??“ Oakland 14 Projected score @ fair weather conditions: Franklin 35 ??“ Oakland 17 (Three points added to Oakland for local home field, mild weather advantage at Murfreesboro.)
  19. Championship game was between Franklin & Brentwood in round three. This game at MTSU is a mere formality for Franklin to play it out the rest of the way.

    BA vs MUS

A few things I took away after last night game: Starting the game at 6 PM during weekday Murfreesboro rush hour was a mistake due to wrecks and tied up traffic pattern to get to the stadium. MUS brought more a few more fans than BA. I was little surprise due to BA locality. Shave ice concession sales don??™t do well at colder temperatures. I would suggest hot coffee and hot chocolate. One small concession stand (very limited on products for sale) was available on both sides of the field??¦did the TSSAA not expect anyone to show up? There is nothing like ball on skin to keep the ball from sliding out, regardless of weather conditions??¦leave the sleeves at home and tough it out. Big is not necessary better when it comes to football lineman play. MUS smaller and quicker lineman on defense easily overcame the advantage of the big guy lineman factor on offense. When you are playing against the spread and the defensive lineman can??™t seem to get into the backfield to purse the QB, defensive backs and enough of them are a premium. Congrats to MUS for putting on air show using live missiles??¦see you back at the Vandy 7 on 7 in July for repeat performance. For everybody else, the bar has been raised by MUS??¦time to reflect and get prepared for 2009.
  21. It must be getting real old for Memphis area teams to constantly hear the lack of confidence in playing Williamson County teams. The last two years were excellent opportunities to turn it around because of home field advantage. I don't see any difference in the outcome this year from a dominating Franklin Rebels team. I have no doubt Franklin will win 5A this year.
  22. With Vandy getting turf field, I would like to see all football championship games return back to Vandy due to the ease of access and parking. I would believe it to bring in larger crowds due to access and convenience. The only problem with the suggestion, the TSSAA and game officials will not want to be there working on Thanksgiving.

    BA vs MUS

I've got to know some of the parents while talking to them during the Vandy 7 on 7 passing tournament. It was consensus leading into the season that BA was the clear choice for the Championship. Yet the parents at MUS felt they had a very good team especially in the passing game and could take on the best and win, a proven fact up to now. Here we are at the season end and these two fine teams have found a way to go head to head in for the championship. With the undefeated season, you would have to give MUS the upper hand to take it all. Then again, you can't say enough about BA overcoming four season losses while maintaining focus, persevere on the road to the playoff, and won their way into the championship game. Win or loose, both are winners in my book as I look down on the field of play tonight.
  24. I read the same thing in the Tennessean as the paper interviewed the Assistant Principle at Dickson County wanting to play Clarksville area schools. With I-840 being completed, it would have been a quick drive to stay with Williamson County teams with the great game gate and concessions. The change gives Dickson County a chance to go to the playoffs every year as long as they go 1-9 with the lone victory against a hapless Rossview. It's like selling your sole to the devil...or worst, the TSSAA. Situations like this are pitiful??¦it makes the TSSAA playoff system a sham. On the other hand, Hillsboro wanted to play tough schedule, great competition, and the extra money from gate and concessions will be positive to the Hillsboro school athletic pocketbook. With Maryville moving to 6A, I could see future possibility of 5A & 6A champions from the same Class 3A, District 11 in the same year. I haven't given this much thought but doesn't it seem strange that this type of event could happen in the same year? I guess it could resolve which Class is better at times...5A or 6A. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
