  1. This is silly. Just because a coach uses bad language does not make him a terrible guy. These are just words. And, they are words that we as Americans have created. If you want to quote Bible versus get it right. The Bible says nothing about "cussing". It only states that we should not use Gods name in vain. We are the ones that have twisted that around. Show me a coach that dosen't use foul language and check his record. I know for a fact, Coach Satt is very active in his Church. I know many who have played in his system, including family members, and everyone of them would do it again. Just because you dont like him means "JACK". Your probably one of many that had to play against Hartsville and got your @#$%^% beat. Whoops, my bad. I'll let my minister know that I have used a bad word.
  2. I been out of town, I'm shocked but proud of Macon County, good job and I am sorry for the remarks.. good luck
  3. Yes, Satterfield has had much success, only because he as a coach has worked hard to acheive this. The kids in Macon County, Red Boiling Springs, and every other school in Tennesseee, put their pants on the same way the kids in Hartsville do, its 90% coaching. To say Satterfield has had more talent is rediculous. He could go to any school and win. Its the play calling, offensive and defensive schemes and off season workouts that win games. Also Coach Satterfield starts working these kids long before they reach the high school level, that wins games. The boys are no bigger than anyone else, no faster, there hands have 5 fingers on each and there feet come factory equipped with only 5 toes on each, they dont drink some special water. There coached to win, and they do.
  4. That was the one that got me too. State title, yea right. I also loved the 3-A comments. Hum, if I recall Trousdale made the playoffs every year they were in 3-A, and 4th round at that. In most cases it was 65 players against about 16 from Hartsville, how can you compete with that. Fresh bodies every play. Oh yea and the back to 1-A thing, shut up! Thats not Trousdale's decision, that comes from the TSSAA. Also, when Hartsville was asked to move up, it was to 2-A, they decided to go up to 3-A so they didnt have to play the private recruiters. Yea I said it...RECRUITERS. I am upset now! So off on a limb I go..If Macon County scores more than 8 points, I will personally apologize for all the corn and whittling and hockey jokes.. But if they dont..You must apoligize to me. Deal?
  5. I've got the solution. Why dont Macon County and Red Boiling Springs combine both teams and form there own hockey team. Not football, thats embarrising. Hockey would work because teeth are not required and you could widdle your sticks and use cow chips for the puck..Let them dry well first though. You could sell boiled corn and that sulfer water at the concession. Your band could perform on skates, and the cheerleaders could wear Trousdale County sweatshirts like they do when there at home.
  6. WARNING, Trousdale County cheerleaders and waterboys. Please where your ball uniforms as you will most likely be called on to play by the 3rd quarter. Trousdale County 50. Macon County (GOOSE-EGG).
  7. Your # 1 pick is definitly right. Even if Friendship was to somehow pull out a win during the regular season, they still must beat Trousdale again. Not gonna happen.. For anyone unsure of the coach in Hartsville's abilities, ask Portlands (ex-coach), Roger Perry. When Trousdale was in 3-A, Portland drilled Hartsville 50 something to a little of nothing to gain homefield in the playoffs. Trousdale went to Portland and ripped them a new one in the playoffs. Never count them out. Last season Hampton felt they could tear Trousdale apart. They had the right senerio, home field, a good healthy team, Trousdale by 35. Wasn't even a game. Just cold!
  8. The number of senior returns is not that big of a deal in high school. In fact most of your top teams, especially in 1-A started alot of younger guys, Example: Friendship, There top runningback, Rickaway was just a sophomore, and a good one. Trousdale used many juniors, and Hampton was full of freshmen. All three of these teams were in the top. Murphy needs 2 lists, one that list departing seniors and beside it he should list if they were impact players. You pass 12 years of school your a senior, that does not make you a good football player, my DAUGHTERS a senior.
  9. Hampton should have a good year, You guys still have a lot of talent there. I will say this about you guys. I went up to the Trousdale playoff game in Hampton and met some of the best fans I have ever been around. Everyone was courteous and very much into there football. Perhaps we can return the favor this year in Hartsville. Good luck Hampton, you should own the east.
  10. I admit at this point its hard to say REPEAT for Trousdale, but from what I saw Friday, and the returning players, with the "MASTER" of high school coaches, (Satterfield), my small amount of money is on Hartsville. Year after year, the talent level barely decreases, if they lose there run, they pass, if they need better blocking, its there, its quite amazing how coach Satterfield, with such a small county can produce such powerhouse teams. Its because he is the best, he could win at any school at any level. Do not in any way think that the loss of Dillahay and Welch and the other impact seniors will hurt this team, not taking anything from these kids, but look at the outstanding players to come through this program, and year after year there still on top. Its coaching and intangebles that win games. Hartsville you are a lucky city to have someone of this caliber.
  11. Please allow me to give a few opinions on Friday night @ Hampton. First I am not from the mountains, nor am I from Trousdale county, in fact I live in Mt. Juliet, which falls between both, so I can say the truth. 1st let me say, hats off to the fans of Hampton. You are a classy group, well disciplined, very supportive of your team, and it was an honor to be at your place. 2nd, the team was good, well coached and well prepared, just not prepared for a team as good as Hartsville. The outcome of this game was certainly not any let down by the Hampton team, nor was this team not a good team, again Trousdale was just the better team, as you will see Friday in Murfreesboro, they will dominate. Hartsville is well balanced, with so many weapons. They by far have the best coaching staff in Tennessee if not in the entire south, and the kids are great students. I encourage all readers of this post to fall on the Hartsville bandwagon, its a wonderful ride.
  12. 35 to 7? You mean at half time right? Trousdale County could give any class a game right now, 1-A ball is nothing to them, remember, they chose to skip 2-A and play 3-A ball and still made the playoffs every year. There well coached and well disciplined. Also they are unbeatable. This post is from someone who lives an hour away from Trousdale, but love to watch them play. It just wont be Hartsville people there, theres a load of us coming from Mt. Juliet. Get ready for basketball season Hampton, this could get ugly!
