Wooddale 3.Houston... they might squeeze in there 4. ootelwah....or somethin like that 5. melrose is a favorite to go all the way 6. craigmont they are some BA's 7. kirby 8.sheffield and the winner is.......dobbyns bennet!!!! thank you everyone please give much input.
  3. jballer i like your style... I agree with you that ridgeway is straight ballin.. and will make a deep run to at least the semis maybe even the finals..
  4. Kingsbury isnt not one to watch, Ridgeway has secretly looked into their files and it appears some of them are academically inelligiable. Risgeway scrimmaged Kingsbury and kingsbury didnt perform well at all they got demolished. If anyone deserves to be in State its Ridgeway, they play legal players and with these new players added to the team recently they are goin to have a splended week and perfrom greatly against gtown and wshs.
  5. Ridgeway is flat out ballin, they are too good for there division. No one has a chance when they perform well they are unreal out on the pitch. After next week everyone will see who is the best in memphis behind houston. BALLIN
  6. Ridgeway has a curse and a blessing in the attitude of their team. Ridgeway plays as well as they have to in order to win the game. Just look at the Millington game and games like Craigmont and Overton. They did just enough to win and got into the lockerroom with a W. I think this week that Ridgeway's lineman are going to show up in a big way. With 4 seniors and a second year starter in their only junior (a DI prospect) they are going to anchor a line that allows Crawford to slowly wear away at the Gtown defense. The QB should have a good game compared to recent games because of this weeks anticipated dry conditions. I talked to him and he said that Ridgeway will be prepared to pass the ball much more efficiently rather than unexpectedly in the millington game. Its definately goin to be a tight one. John Cooley has lots of experience with the big games and always gets his team ready. Look for this game to be a strategic battle and Cooley to come out victorious. Ridgeway 23 Gtown 10
  7. Up and Down the roster for Riverdale it seems like they will repeat again this year, but Ravenwood, and Ridgeway have proved that they can play with the big boys. So many people talk about how Ridgeway was in 3A just 3 years ago. Well three years ago Ravenwood was in their first Varsity season. When Ravenwood and Ridgeway meet it will be a battle of talented newcomers to 5A. Riverdale has been tested in the playoffs and by no means show that they are invincable. These three RHS's are all very good Dec. 3 will show which one is the best.
  8. I have the pleasure of running down the field as Mr. Josh Jasper kicks off and its an amazing sight to see a 17 year old boot it through the end zone and rarely have to worry about a return. Sometimes i think the kick off team doesn't need to be on the field. Time Warner called him, Mr. Automatic, Because that is what he is. I have confidence that the special teams advantage goes to ridgeway because of Jasper and a nice pre-season All State selection, Jarrod Dale returning punts.
  9. I heard so much in papers about the quarterback for Ravenwood, he had 133 yards in the first half but how about his wide receivers, are they a force that needs to be reckoned with? Ridgeways D is very fast and i'm sure will get after him, our D ends have great speed and power if they contain him what can he do to get rid of the ball? I'm curious how Ravenwood will defend the passing sets of Ridgeway. We have a young but talented quarterback that has learned great amounts, if our receivers are open he'll get them the ball. What kind of DB's does Ravenwood have in store? I bet Cooley already knows and has broken down two tapes though. We'll see on friday night.
  10. Ridgeway will definately come out for the game, 5A is huge and the booster club is definately going to make sure that parents and fans can all come and see their roadrunners play. At the G-Town game there were at least 2 thousand fans. I'm sure there will be a good hunk of the student body and parents at the Ravenwood game. Our Offense and Defense will be coached by the best in Cooley and with his preparation Ravenwood better be as hyped as we are. It'll be a good contest with plenty of smash-mouth football.
