How is the Region 6-AAA tournament going?

Now we see that Antioch is not what everybody said they were. Everyone was saying top three for 12AAA was Hunters Lane, WC, and Antioch. Nope, McGavock is doing better than what I thought. I think McGavock plays Ravenwood, if Franklin wins. Tell me if Im wrong

From Metro schools, Pearl Cohn 08 class will be good, if all their players can stay eligble to play throughout the whole season, and then from AAA, Antioch has a nice a nice Junior in Codye Hatcher, then a line of Sophmore in Michael McAdoo, Micahel Williams, Kyle Upton, and Jeremy Williams. Another team to be good next year and the year after is McGavock. They have strong post players, and good guards. They'll be lead by JaQuan Kilcrease and Don Woods,Jr.

Your right "potential". But potential shouldn't be top 10 in the midstate.

Antioch this Antioch that. Are they really that good. I mean they lose to McGavock High twice this year, Hunters lane, and Whites Creek in their districts. That coach from Rhea Co. is horrible. How do you schedule Soddy Daisy twice with a team like that. Its not making Antioch High any better. He needs to hit the road like Mangrum. Antioch isn't all that.

Yeh Henley played, but did not start. He had some kind of wrap or cast like thing on his elbow. So I dont know if he was injuredor what. Also Uryan Scales got limited minutes.

Does anybody know what happened to sophmore Kalen Jones for McGavock. He went from freshmen stud to a varsity bench rider. I thought he would be a starter this year.

I agree. Some team from Tn will be winning nationals this year.

Yea your right, a squad with the likes of Rayshawn Walker,Henley kid,DeMario Williams, and Cutler are great. But the thunder have big bodied Mike McAdoo, Kyle Upton, & Mike Williams. Also the jags have sharpshooting guard Don Woods, Kalen Jones, I hear Casey Annuna will play too.

I don't know about all that. The Thunder and Jags have some on Metros best 08' ballplayers.

I smell blowout. Antioch just doesn't do well against good teams.

While were on the topic of sophmores and AAU. I think the top 16u AAU team in Tennessee will be Tn Thunder, Nashville Celtics, and Music City Jags.

I think alot of 2008 best players will shine in AAU this summer in 16u.

Yeh as of right now its Hunters Lane and Whites Creek, but I have a gut feeling that when it all ends its going to be Whites Creek and McGavock. Since watching Hunters Lane barely escape McGavock by 1 in the Civitian Invitional, I think McGavock will overcome them.

The 12AAA is a tough district to play in, right? Who is going to take it all this season?

Not to take anything away from Antioch, but when they played any goods teams in their district they lost by 10 or more. So when comes time to play for the district tournament. They're not going anywhere. Its either going to be Hunters Lane, Whites Creek or McGavock.

I say McGavock has the best fans in the state. You should see those kids. They will fight for their team, as I saw on Friday vs Antioch

The game Antioch verus McGavock was a shocker. The Undersized Raiders beat the Bears by 21pts last night. The diamond in tha rough star Jaquan Kilcrease had 19pts. I think McGavock is turning into a ball club folks. They almost beat H, but were cheated at the last second. I watch alot of Middle Tn basketball, and dey look like top 10 material to me.

McGavock also won. The score was like 79-57. They will play Mt.Juliet 2morrow @ 830.

Yes to the shot clock, because I think more teams these days are in to the fast paced game. & No to the relocation of the state tournament....Needs to stay were it is.

This years tournament includes hosts, McGavock,MLK,Pearl Cohn,Covington, Manassas,Hunters Lane, Brainerd, and Mt. Juliet. Who all is going to be there, and tell me who you all think is going to win it all? Im going with Hunters Lane

Yeh he is an excellant player and is strong with the ball. I saw him play against whites creek @ the LeRoy Wright Tourney and twice against McGavock this year. The kid is a real good ball player. I think he is one of the best freshman in middle and possibly the state.

Ive heard of the girl Treneisha. I hear she is real good. Has anyone seen her play?

Ive been saying from day one McGavock was going to win. They are going to go far this year in the state tourney.
