  1. Phillip Simpson is an amazing wrestler, I don't want to take anything from him because he deserves it all, but I wanted to here more of kids who overcame the odds, and fought through true pain to get there. I can't recall Simpson having too much bad luck through his career. I was unaware Withrow's knee was so bad, congratulations to him for pushing through it, and Fuller also wrestled exceptionally. I just don't know enough about these Bradley kids I guess.
  2. I'd like to hear who you all think was the toughest wrestler in TN this year. They don't have to be the best, but the ones who had the heart without so much luck. I have to give my vote to either Kellen Holliman, Spencer Sommers, or David Carter. All three of them seemed to be constantly dealing with injuries, and they never quit. All of them are great wrestlers, and I enjoyed watching all them. Congratualations to Holliman and Sommers, and to Carter, way to finish your season buddy.
  3. 103- Alan Horde Beech 112- Ryan Treelore Hendersonville 119- Jimmy Childers White House (I think Justin Lilleyadahl might be one to watch) 125- Stewart Cope Centennial 130- Nic Bundy Hendersonville 135- Dustin Dobbs Hendersonville 140-Jim Kleinart Beech 145- ???? 152- Brett Morrell White House 160- David Carter Hendersonville 171- Lucas Spink PJPII 189- Michael Ligeon Rossview 215- Courtney Cofee PJPII 275- ?????
  4. That is who I was thinking for 145,... Spencer Sommers. Couldn't think of the kids name. Saw him wrestle Holliman,... I was very impressed.
  5. Anyone have any predictions on who will take Region 8 in the 140, 145, 152, and 160 pound brackets? I'm banking on 140-Jim Kleinert of Beech 145-??? 152-Sergio Perry of Hendersonville 160-David Carter of Hendersonville
  6. I would call you an idiot. First of all, last year when Dedmon put Bundy on his back, it was because Bundy was doing a gramby, which he finished, and then pinned Dedman. Secondly, Bundy does care if he wins or loses. He always wants to win. If all he cared about was hurting people, he'd wind up kicked out of the state tournament because he got mad after being taken down. He keeps a cool head, and always aims to win. Please keep your stupid comments to yourself.
  7. Wish you could be with us this year, the team will just not be the same without you. You're in our prayers.
  8. I don't believe so. Had it been a pin, the final score would have been 48-30, the real score was 48-27,... do the math.
  9. This was an interesting evening of wrestling. All teams involved did a very nice job. Both HHS and BHS seem to have very strong teams this year, and I believe they will be the top two in this region this year. Congratualations to all the kids who competed, and keep up the hard work. 10. I have to say that it should be a close one between Hendersonville and Beech. Both teams look very strong, and I'd say the team with the best strategy will win.
  11. I apologize on the Bundy thing, I didn't mean to put 112, I was thinking about when he won state. He is wrestling 130, apologies. To answer your question,.. I believe the reason so many people talk about these teams, is because they are in fact the best. We could spend out time talking about the teams with one or two stand out wrestlers,... but why not focus on the well rounded teams. If you wanna mention individuals, go for it, but I for one will not be all too concerned with the bottom of the barrell when we are talking about "team" standings.
  12. Smyrna v HHS 140-Smyrna dec 145-Smyrna pin 152-HHS Perry ( I believe it was a pin) 160-HHS Carter (can't remember if it was a pin or a major) Mt. Juliet v HHS 140- I think HHS won this one 145- Mt. Juliet by pin 152- HHS Perry by pin I believe 160- HHS Carter by pin (he seemed in hurt)
  13. I'd say that Hendersonville's best are going to be Bundy, Carter, Richey, Perry, and a pretty tought 112 who's name I don't know. I think Bundy's going 112, I have no idea what Carter is going, Perry should be around 152 or 160, and Richey should wrestle at about 140.
  14. I'll say it should be a tough match for all involved. If Hendersonville can stand up to their past results, I'd say they'll take it. Then again, they did lose quite a few key wrestlers. It is my understanding that they lost Justin Shanes to Beech, Adam Hubey to a broken neck, and Alex Bogdan for reasons I do not know. Also their 160 moved out of state according to one of the other wrestlers. Smyrna generally has a pretty tought team, with quite a few people returning, including Sommers. Mt. Juliet I do not know much about, but I do know, since this is a regional match, they should step it up. My gut however tells me to go with Hendersonville, as they have Bundy, Carter, Perry, and Richey returning,... with the addition of several new unnderclassmen. I watched all of these kids wrestler last year, and I must say, I was quite impressed.
