which girls teams are good this year??

I use to play summer ball but never played for the high school! But i go to the games and watch all my friends play!! i might play next year haven't decided yet!! but i think that they are going to be really good this year!! GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!!!

SMHSPANTHERS? what is your schools name? cause when we bowled at regionals we only bowled Brainerd and Soddy so i have no clue what you are talking about!!! so if you are not from Brainerd or soddy than you need to get your facts strait about whos talking bad about who before you go aroungd making RUDE comments about other teams!!!!

How can you say that Hixson winning was luck? They finally came together as a team and proved themselves... i dont call that luck!!

ok.. i know for a fact that there were apologies made and that some of the girls on the teams became friends.. not all of them hold grudges

Trash talking? I was at every Hixson-Soddy match, never heard trash talking. Why don't the girls get along? Have you heard the Soddy parents? Kind of hard to try and get along when they are screaming at you for every spare. It's a natural rivalry, leave it alone. They'll both be there again and it will be the same heated rivalry.

And, oh by the way, my son is in college on a FULL academic scholarship in the School of Engineering at UT. He was also a 3-year starter, twice All District and on 2 District championship teams, so I doubt your kid wants to play mine! I truly believe you are one of those SCARY parents I read so much about judging by your obsessive posts (Why not?? I've got 2 playing travel ball one 6 and one 8. Last year, thier combined records were 121-6. My eight year old threw 4 no hitters and 7 shut outs. You think he hates baseball?? He loves it. Your kids may have fun by eating sno-cones after the game: Mine have fun WINNING. IF you're in it for any other reason- you need to quit and start reading books or something )You might want to consider picking up those books and reading!

90% of the kids that start playing baseball as young as age 5 or 6 will not be playing, at all, at the high school level. Stats don't lie, let the kids be kids when they are that young.

The above post is the perfect example of why more attention needs to be directed to academics rather than sports! Concentrate on your studies! Much, much more scholarship money is available for academics than for sports.

I couldn't have said it better myself! This is a truly sad statement made, I assume, by a father that wants to coach more than his son wants to play, probably. Oh I know, the 5 year old kids "really love the game." "Double cuts on a sure double"? You're playing on 100-foot fields, why would you have a double cut? Odds are, you son won't even still be playing by the time he reaches high school, he will be part of the attrition. You truly have issues. You're taking it a whole lot more serious than the boys most likely are. This is just like the softball parents/coaches and their, "if you play Select you can get a scholarship" crap. There are very few scholarships out there, but parents/coaches justify everything by dangling this carrot. By everything, I mean ridiculous costs, travel, devotion to only one sport, etc. You best baseball players are the ones that are well rounded, multi-sport ATHLETES. Each and every sport teaches something that can be applied to baseball and the best players take that teaching and become the best baseball players. 5-year old travel teams??? Get serious!

Yah! i think that the hixson girls have a good chance at getting back to state! As long as they stick together!! Because hixson girls are only loosing one senior!! But they will miss her alot! Cindy Buckner is the senior! But i think its possible!!! Also i think that the Soddydaisy girls have a chance too!

no one person can lose it for the whole team.. it takes a team effort and everyone has to work together to be successful.. so by saying she was a dissappointment, i think thats a little much everyone has their on and off days maybe that was one of them..
