  1. Best of luck...I have the upmost respect for Seq girls.
  2. The girl in question is a very hard player. She has sustained several serious injuries in her years of play because of her intensity. I think you have to be careful not to beat a dead horse here. No one should imply this was staged somehow. Indian stated this earlier. The play in question was not an uncontested layup...there is no guarantee the offense would have scored. There are a lot of "what ifs" on both sides...no calls on obvious fouls. The list could go on.The game is over and Seq needs to focus on Upperman. Even as a MC fan, I enjoyed the closeness of the game last night. Seq is a good team and I wish them the best with Upperman.
  3. Are you saying "little old outdated" refers to the crowd? The operatives words you used are"almost blew the lead". Almost doesn't count for much at this point in the season. If that consoles you to think this way...by all means continue. At any rate, I should hope LA is coming with the intention of winning or there would be no need to play the game nor for me to waste $6. By the way....people whose teams win don't have sore spots. Just sore losers have sore spots.
  4. LA is always very insulting regarding MC facilties. As I said last year, if you don't want to lower yourself by making the trip to MC....win your region. It's as simple as that. MC didn't want to go to middle TN Sat so they did what they needed to do. For you to project yourself as an elitist, you certainly are classless. I can only guess that LA is so raw after LOSING their region that the only thing they can do to attempt to soothe themselves is insult MC's gym.
  5. This was a fun game to watch. Sequatchie did a great job considering the refs certainly did them no favors.
  6. # 30 scored 41 points last night. They are not huge but not tiny either. Several good outside shooters. They have some aggressive defenders. When 30 does not have a good night, the others(#4 especially) will step up. They do not have much depth though. The starters do not get many breaks.
  7. Actually, yes it was. No need to be touchy. I have seen Sequatchie play and I have seen Sweetwater play...that is why I made the statement. I have been much more impressed with Seq as compared to Sweetwater. The home court issue factors in greatly. Besides with Tellico/Howard you had 2 and 3 seeds not 1 and 4.
  8. Sweetwater has a lot of talent and has given teams some real fits this year, but it was quite surprising to the folks in 5AA that Sequatchie had such a hard time with them on their own court.
  9. I find it ironic as well that anyone from Polk County would call anyone else a redneck. Having worked in both counties(Polk and Meigs), I would say that Polk has definitely got the edge over Meigs in the "redneck" department.
  10. MC right now has a very strong freshman group and there is an endless line of strong players coming in over the next several years.
  11. Well put jchs39! If Livingston had beaten York then they would have had the pleasure of hosting sub-state and would not have had to travel to get beat. Livingston needs to quit complaining-it is unflattering and makes them look like sore losers. There is a reason teams play their heart out at the regional championship-that's to host the sectional. Your continual fussing and insults to Central's facilities is low-class.
  12. It did not end with 2 fouls shots but with a layup that drew a foul. Lambert made the free throw giving Central a 2 point win. Livingston missed an easy shot at the end that could have sent the game into overtime. Central certainly did not get favors from the refs.
  13. Be accurate. WV JV did beat Central twice but Central did beat them once at Central. WV JV was not undefeated.
  14. I can assure you that it does not hurt Central's feelings much. They are too busy playing ball.
  15. It's humorous for anyone from Polk to disparage anyone's education. I am willing to bet if you compare literacy rates you would be quite embarrassed.
  16. There seems to be an inappropriate suggestion here. Watch yourself.
  17. Meigs can definitely not be taken for granted, however, I don't know if you can consider 12-16-05 Central's best effort as one of their top scorers and defensive players(Lambert) did not play because of a wrist injury. This all makes for a very interesting district tournament in Cleveland.
