  1. I hope Riverdale has got somethin in store for them. From what I am seeing only 1 team was able to tie them down.
  2. O wait folks Maryville has a basketball team. I thought all they did was play football.
  3. I think OR will come out on top in this years match up. Whos gonna stop The Gulmire boys???
  4. HA..HA..HA..HA......I certainly rest my case.
  5. This is my last response, I promise. Coacht.com reports MHS as having 1351 and I don't have to go to the MHS website, because I've been to your school and your guidance counselors and teachers proudly boasts 1400 students. I'm not "trashing" the school or anything, because in my opinion it's all a class act not only on the football field, but in the classroom as well. But what I am saying is that it's hardly fair when you compare the "resources" you've got compared to other schools in your division. Enjoy your extended season....and go vols.
  6. I didnt say anything about OR or DB to begin with. You brought it up. And as for the Maryville-Morristown West game, I hope Morristown spanks the "rebs." But I don't forecast that happening since Maryville has roughly two hundred more students to select players from.
  7. For some reason I would think that OR wouldn't even begin to think about lining up their best players for a scrimmage, but that's just me. As for being big enough? I think 1400 student's is pretty darn big. Much bigger than the 1100 and 1200 student populations in other schools in your division.
  8. Powell has a whole team of defenders, ball handlers, and shooters. Too bad only a select few keep getting the lip service" here.
  9. Maryville should be a 5A school, then let's see how much they dominate.
  10. Powell should have won the game against Science Hill. They had them beat the entire game until the last 17 secs. But more than likely that will be how Powell's whole season goes..."could've, should've, would've." Clearly, they've got the talent and depth, unfortunately a lack of understanding of how to use it. The juniors on the team won the both the league and the county tourny championship in middle school as 8th graders. They lost every game as 7th graders who sat on the bench. Until Ogan faces the reality that he actually has talent that doesn't have to display the unsportsmanlike conduct that so many have seen in the ones they've raved about being so awesome, they will see many games that end like the one last night against Science Hill. Touche.
