  1. Way to go East, give it to them in the tourny......GO DISTRICT 10!!!
  2. Nashville Christian: -Caden Anderson 5'10" PG All District, All Region Smooth, great defense, can drive or shoot the 3, 90%+ FT shooter -Zach Bledsoe 5'7" SG Crazy from deep, 96% FT-shooter -Connor Davidson 6'5" C Big down low, also great FT shooter Montessori Academy: -Shawn Kennedy 5'9" SG Avg 22.3 ppg, also had 106 3's on the year These are a few that probably would otherwise be overlooked.
  3. I understand that Allen Arena isn't "homecourt", but David Lipscomb and Lipscomb University are on the same campus. Also, the extra room allows the students at Lipscomb University to attend. And being a former student there, it's about 30% former David Lipscomb students, which increases the number of DL fans there. So I just can't understand how it won't still be homecourt. I have been to a few Boliver away games and they do have a great following, but I still think that DL will have more fans there. Boliver is a great team with a good duo in Kemp/Chism, and knowing what DL is bringing to the court, I don't think that they have the players to beat Boliver. I think Boliver wins by 10+, but it won't be as high scoring due to DL slow-down style of play.
  4. This is not making excuses, but I can cover for 6 of those loses. 4 of them came to the same team, being East Robertson...and 2 coming against AAA schools Hunters Lane and McGavock. The other six loses were to worthy opponents as well, but at this point in the season do records really matter? If a team has made it this far, doesn't that say enough for their team? Anyhow, can anyone tell me any other way to get to Wayne Co other than Natchez Trace and I-40 W to TN-13?
  5. Are they big down low? The biggest guy that I know of on there team is 6'2", but I only looked at the Tennessean's roster. Also, how is there outside shooting?
  6. I don't get why people from public schools can't be satisfied!! There is already the multilpier, and just because a it's a private school doesn't mean that recruiting goes on. I know people who go to public schools that have moved into another schools district so they could play for that team, it's the same thing for private schools except they don't have to move. I didn't want to say anything else, but due to recent events I have to. How can private schools have an advantage when there are several officials that are employees of public schools? I have been to several public vs private school games and have noticed that public schools tend to get more of the calls than private. When I say this I mean the picky stuff like a reach or the difference in a block to a charge, in the fact that the calls in these instances go more toward the public favor. I'm not complaining about refs, all I am saying is give the "private schools have an advantage over public schools" crap a rest!!!!
  7. Fuqua made the all discrtict and region teams, meaning someone out there disagrees with you. I think that all of East's starters are strong players, and anyone of them can go big. As for NCS winning as the underdog, we'll just have to see. If NCS plays SMART and under control it should be a competitive game, but as for the upset......I guess we'll know at about 8:30 tomorrow night.
  8. Congats to the Lady Eagles on a great win. Good luck tonight against FRA.
  9. I don't know if it's the same from East Robertson perspective, but this season had birthed a great rivalry between these 2 schools. I might even say it has taken place over the McEwen rivalry that NCS has, but not by much. Good luck to both teams tonight....leave it all on the floor guys!!!
  10. To clearify some stuff..... Yes it was the same refs that did the Eagleville/NCS game. The technical foul was called becuase the ref thought Bledsoe passed the ball to hard to him and T'd him up for it. As for the East Robertson/East Lit game, it was just flat out ugly. I can't remember how they tied at the end of regulation but at the end first overtime, East Robertson had to inbound the ball with 1.8 seconds left to shoot for the win, and couldn't get one off. In the 2nd OT with 1 minute left ER was up by six, then East Lit got t steal and the game was 4, then on the inbound Fuqua caught the ball and walked and East Lit scored quickly. East Lit fouled Fosnes with 10.2 seconds left, and he made 1 of 2. Keep in mind it was a 3 point game at this point!!! The East Lit ran the length of the floor, and lost focus and Brookshire shot a lay-up and the clock ran out while ER was inbounding the ball!!! Congrats to Eagleville on a great season. Also, great game to Alldaffer, he's a heck of a player. Good luck to both teams tonight in the Championship.....leave it all on the floor guys!!!
  11. I was told that FRA won that game 63-40. If this is right, can anyone tell me what happened to a good lipscomb team?
  12. Congats to Forrest on a great game tonight. Should be an exciting game tomorrwo night, good luck to both teams!!!
  13. Congrats to East Robertson on a well fought game. It was an ugly game for both teams, but a win is a win. Should be a good match up tomorrow night. Good luck to both teams!!!
  14. I agree that living in the city give an advantage, but the only 3 schools close to Nashville are East Lit, Nashville Christian, and Montessori Academy. Jo Byrns is from a town smaller than Forrest, same with McEwen and East Robertson. Houston County is in the middle of nowhere, White House-Heritage is considered "country". As for the 3 schools close to Nashville, Montessori has about 170 students, and Nashville Christian has 159 students. East Lit is really the only "city" school we have, and I don't think that they have an advantage. Also, the largest school in Tennessee is Antioch and they only have about 2,800. I do agree that the teams that Distict 10 plays outside of the district does give somewhat of an advantage. So there is really no advantage at all. Congrats to all the winners and good luck tonight!!!
  15. Congats to Eagleville on a great win over NCS. However,I hope there is another gear that you didn't show against NCS otherwise Houston County will be too much. I think that it'll be Houston County vs Forrest for the Championship, which will be a great game to watch.
  16. Outside of one post, no one seems to thin Ezell-Harding will be much of a threat. I'm just curious how you can count out a team that only has 2 losses all season. I also say that Harpeth is a threat, great shooters, incredible D.
  17. Usually I would say that NCS would have maybe 300+ people there for a game of this magnitude, but probably not on a Wed. What you have to understand is that that Bledsoe, who had 5 of the 9 3's, is usual the first off the bench. I wouldn't put too much confidence in your speed either. If you ask Forrest fans about the speed of East Lit, I'm pretty sure they'll tell you just how quick they are, in fact one Forrest fan said they were the most athletic team they have played this year...and NCS had beat them 2 out of 3 this year. I usually don't do this, but I have extreme confidence in the facts. Since VB held Frazier to 9 points, expect him to have a stellar game tonight. The last time someone held Frazier to under 10, he scored 27 the following game. If you look at it, VB held NCS's two top scorers to 12 points combined, who usually average 31. I will say that the teams who have success against NCS tend to have a strong inside game. I don't know how Eaglevilles post players are, but they need to have a good game. If they can do this then NCS will have trouble tonight. With all that said, I do belive that it will be a very competitive and tight game tonight. I'm still not making any predictions though, call it superstition, but I can't wait till tip-off!!!
  18. Congrats to the Lady Eagles on their win and on their great season. Good luck the rest of the way!!!!
  19. I think the East Lit/East Robertson game is going to a tight one with East Robertson on top at the end by 2, maybe in OT. As for the other game.....I don't like to make predictions about NCS ball games, but it should be a good one.
  20. District 10 is already in substate because the winner of East Lit/East Robertson is in substate. However, it would be pretty cool for it to be an all District 10 substate!!
  21. Bledsoe had 17 with 5 3's, Anderson added 14.
  22. East Lit plays East Robertson, and NCS plays Eagleville tomorrow.
  23. Nashville Christian 51 Van Buren Co. 46 I've got to give it up to VB in coming back and making a great game out of it. It was 37-21, NCS, @ the half. VB came out smoking hot in the 3rd. It was a back and forth in the 4th, but NCS held off the come back. I will say that it wasn't the best officiated game I've seen this year, but it was called poorly on both teams. I am just wondering why 9-A thought they'd control the tournement. Did you think you weren't going to have any competition?
  24. 1 outta 4 isn't something to be ashamed of!!!
