Hey Papa...is this your sons last year...or is he back.....my little one is moving on....graduates in May. After 4 sons on Friday nights..I'm going to have to find a new hobby for Friday nights.......maybe I'll learn how to play Bridge By the way...the weather should be great...isn't it going to be about 70 and clear?

We're just hoping your 1 loss team doesn't hurt our little 4 loss kids....! We'll show up and do our best...maybe just maybe we won't embarrass ourselves. Actually, this team today is every bit as good as last years team.....that nasty old private power house beat us again...missed an extra point in OT...and they just won the DII AAA State Championship.....then we lost our QB for a few games..that wasn't fun...we didn't have an experienced backup....but we're fine now...and are looking forward to a terrific trip to the west....some great food...good company...and a hard fought, clean, well played game.....it should be a fun time. High school football just doesn't get any better than this!

I can speak for our players and our fans...many of the things we heard about Hunters Lane weren't positive....turns out what we heard was all crap!!!! We have a new found level of respect for everythng Hunters Lane....We thought your fans were terrific, the kids were terrific, the facilities were excellent. The hot dogs were super..(personal observation)..... You guys fought a awesome battle...by far the best competition we've seen this year......hard fought, clean, respectful....and we sincerely hope that's what you saw from us..! Keep up the good work....please pass this on to your team from us. On another note.......Page dropped us from their schedule next year....have your AD contact Ravenwood....maybe we can host you guys at our house...good luck!

I'll add this .............of all 3 playoff games...Hunters Lane showed more class than the other 2 teams combined.....they played hard, fast, and very clean...no mouth...just play......take a bow gentleman....you deserve it!

Young man...you are exactually right....I do judge a person on how they perform...as does life! If you act like a jerk...life will treat you like one! When you say we have no idea what it is actually like....what does that mean...I played ball in high school...and in college...and played AAA baseball in the Reds organization......I spent 12 years as a TSSAA and an NCAA official.........It's possible that I may know more than you think. Regarding my son..he can take care of himself........but I guess you already know that. Would you consider yourself a team leader...sounds like it...what did you say to your team mate when he hit Becker after he had already taken a knee....did you call him out or did you encourage him....or did you do nothing...? I'll bet I know! Son..your respect I can do without!

I don't think it's sour grapes....just stupidity....why is it that the losing team lost because they had a key player missing....this wining team also had key players missing.......but I noticed you failed to mention that fact You could have played all three and the result would have been the same.. On another note...I too sat with some really good Green Wave fans...we had a great time..they cheered for their team and we cheered for ours.....their comments as they were leaving late in the 3rd.......WOW ..We had no idea! There's always next year!

It's really not that hard to admit that you may not have been the best team....why is it that any team that loses...was always out coached....Gallatin in 04, Ridgeway, Oak Ridge in 05, and Gallatin in 06....... News flash...you didn't have the secondary to match up with Ravenwoods WRs...your QB didn't pass well because he/they didn't have time to do anything....your only scoring drive came late in game against 2nd team LBs and DBs......OK your QB was out...so what...Ravenwood was without their best possesion receiver and punter....tell me you didn't notice the lack of a punting game........ Blister your coach if you must.....you weren't outcoached....you were outplayed

Coach...I'm certain that you do know those kids very well....and I'll take your word that Jeremy is a good kid......we only saw him one night and unfortunately, it wasn't a good one.....normally, when a kid is under pressure...you do see their character come through If you say Friday was out of character for Jeremy...I believe you. Having 4 boys..it's not like my kids never did anything stupid. Let's move on!

...Just so I understand....when a player hits the opposing QB while he's got one knee on the ground....taking a knee to run clock......you'd call that personality? Fortunately the ref and Woody didn't follow your thought.....he was flagged and Coach pulled him..............at least they know the difference...! Yes...I was there..........and I think you know that we're talking about two different issues........that went way beyond anything acceptable........I've seen you guys play a number of times...over several years....the older boys played at Oak Ridge...and I've never anything like that from the Warriors...going back to the mid 80s.......I know neither staff would find that acceptable....old or new!

I get it...you're 21 and I'm 57...I've never seen those kind of antics at the high school level....from the stands, he looked disinterested at times...walked more than he ran...and his effort was inconsistant at best. The kids on the field told me that he ran his mouth the whole game but none of them could understand a word...he certainly didn't seem to be all there....you tell me....you're his brother. Is he that way all the time...his team mates showed a lot of class. Why couldn't he have done the same? Why should he be held to a different standard than that of the rest of his team? Regarding his sportmanship or lack of! I've never heard any coach tell a player not to shake hands after a game...and I can assure you, his HC didn't tell him that. Mike is a close friend and I know he'd never tell any player to display poor manners...he just wouldn't. Last Friday was the only time I've seen your brother play....as was the case for most of the people in attendance....guess what their perception of your brother is...? We don't know him personally...we only know what we see. There was also several college scouts in attendance....guess what they saw. Jeremy may very well be a really neat kid....he had every opportunity to display that last week.....he missed We do wish Jeremy much success and sincerely hope he does get the opportunity to play at the next level...if that's what he wants to do...hopefully he'll make a terrific student athlete....!

On one thing we can agree...he certainly brings a buzz....We'll have to agree to dissagree on whether or not it's healthy.....When I see the impact guys like that have on the new generation..it makes me sad. Just look at 88 last Friday....if he was really emulating his heros.....well I guess that really speaks for itself doesn't it!!!!!!!

I was going to let this go...but since it's out....I've watched this game for 40 plus years...and I've never seen those kind of antics on the field...ever! Frankly, I thought he might have been high...he also didn't shake hands on the coin toss. Unexcusable................ Regarding his skills...my little Raptor was responsible for 88 until Woody moved him to the other side late in the 3rd quarter because he wasn't effective....#60 indicated that not only was he not the best DE he faced, but he wasn't even in the top five...too slow..too weak...more mouth than anything else. D1....I doubt it............but I will say that we only saw one game...maybe he's really a class kid......just couldn't prove it by me!

While I agree that the pass was not catchable....high school doesn't have the same rule that would apply to the NFL......you make contact...you draw the flag The major aspect of the Oline and #88 & 80....no pass rush, few tackles, and NO knocked down passes......an excellent night for the Raptors in the trenches

I truly hate to bring this up...but it's my understanding that the OR football community wanted to bring back Gaddis....no problem for me...Joe is a good friend...but just a reminder...after the 91 Championship team that Gaddis coached...the 92 team was very talented and went 5 and 5...no playoffs.. Food for thought!

As much fun as this game would be...never happen! I was working with a group along with a writer at USA Today...that tried to put together at game between the 91 Oak Ridge team and Odessa. TX....the Panthers were #1 in the country and OR was I think #6...but the staff writer at USA today thought OR was the best team in the country............Carters office killed the deal....we never really knew why! The game was to be in Dallas Stadium....really cool! ...first week of that following Jan..we thought it should have been treated like an allstar game....Nope Never happen....sorry

You don't know Rector very well at all....he's all about the program rules...before anything else....Becker sat out the first quarter of the Independence game because he missed a practice...because of the injury to his ankle. A huge game by anyones standards...and Becker was ready to go...and yet the starting QB is on the bench for 25% of the game....trust me...he's all about the rules....before a win or the playoffs....he runs a very tight ship....and he runs it his way...or the highway....
