  1. Security rushing a man consoling his son and dragging him off, you’re kidding me. I think the emotions the Coffee family dealt with this season were a little more than most. They had to deal with controversy and humiliation all in the public eye. This while trying to discipline a son that made a mistake. Other state champs did in my opinion worse and got caught. There wasn't controversy about them being able to wrestle because they were at public schools. I'm sure most of us on here have made mistakes of similar severity but didn't get caught. The emotions running during the finals can be extreme. Add in that the match pitted D1 against D2 and the controversy of eligibility. I don't think anyone has wrestled a finals with as much on his head and that is shared by the parents. People can behave erratically in extreme situations. As far as the PJP coat. I think that could have been done without. Should he have been wearing a Centennial coat? Would you have patronage to a school you have only been at for a few months?
  2. Yes. I couldn't make it. Other than being overseas I haven't missed one well since I was born I'll be upset about it for months. If UTC doesn't appreciate the money the tournament brings in move it to MTSU or anywhere. It used to be at Lipscomb.
  3. Your right. Memory gets fuzzy at my age.
  4. Adrian Northfleet and a few others. Set a National record for takedowns that still stands. In the 80s HL was very good minus a few flying chairs Wow sure does bring back memories.
  5. What were the match specifics for the SH/MW match.
  6. I'm from Tennessee and read this site from time to time just to keep up to date on Tennesse wrestling. There is a kid that just moved to Morristown from South Oldham. He is a very good and dedicated wrestler. He's only an 8th grader but I tell you he is an excellent prospect. He wrestled for both the high and middle school last year. We hated to lose him. He was 1 match from placing at the HS state tournament. He's not your average 8th grader.
